Hello rantmoniker -

1) E2 non-immigrant visas are not available to Nigerian nationals at this time because there isn't a requisite trade treaty between Nigeria and the US.
2) So long as your B1B2 visa is still valid, you may make additional trips to the US, provided that your travel purpose for each trip is an allowable purpose under a B1B2 visa.

rantmoniker:
Dear VO,

Thanks for this great service.

1)Is E2 visa class now available for Nigerians and what is the minimum fund in dollars to apply for this?

2)I got back from a 3weeks trip in June this year to attend my brother's wedding in the US. I will be going again this September as myself and my brother who is a Permanent Resident(Green Card) in the US are looking to set up a company in the US. I currently have a B1/B2 Visa class. Can one visit US again after about 2month of return on a multiple visits visa?

Hello fibonaci. If you have found an electronic form of the DS-5535 that should suffice.

Hi..

I got an electronic ds-5535 form online, filled it out and sent back with my passport just like I was instructed..

But now I got another email from the Consulate again instructing to fill the form online only, then print and send... Saying the hand filled isnt acceptable.

Unfortunately, I cant seem to access or open the file after downloading because of the format, its a (.far) file format.

I emailed them with the predicament, but not getting any response.

Could you kindly help please??

Then I would advise you to follow the specific instructions you were given. Typically, people file police reports when they lose their passports, and that report may also be requested.

Good Afternoon.

I have a follow up on this case. LagosNIV has sent us an email that since she could not access her initial email address, she must appear in person to get the missing visa canceled. We are curious to know if she can just show up at the Lagos Consulate at any day and at any time or there is a particular time and day of the week to do so, as far as cases like this are concerned?

Thank You

Hello Jamezy4u -

You will receive a text message and an email informing you when it is ready to be picked up. In most cases, visas are ready to be picked up approximately 4 business days after the interview.

Hello AbujaNIV

I incorrectly filled in a wrong date of birth on my ds-160 and only realised on the interview day. I filled in 12th instead of 19th although the year and month are correctly filled.

I was going to inform the interviewing VO but it skipped my mind at the interview. How do i go about the corretion in order to have an accurate record? I am supposed to pick up my passport in a few days from now.

Dear Abujaniv, Please I have a conference to attend in FL between 8th and 10 August but the appointment date available as at the time I was filing my application was 3rd August, while I intend to leave Nigeria on the 6th August. Please going by the closeness in the interview date and intended travel date, in case I am eligible for a B1/B2 visa, what is the probability of my passport being returned ahead of my travel date?

Dear Abuja Niv

hello house i need help i didn't Finished filling my ds 160 only copied my confirmation number and quickly used that in processing my appointment so as to get a good date,

eventually couldn't get a good date so i applied for expedite appointment now it has been approved and appointment date changed.

so i wanted to login back into my ds 160 to get all done but couldn't gain access showing the following :

Surname does not match.
Year of Birth does not match.
The answer for the security question is incorrect.

so i think my best option is filling another ds160 now i cant cancel and rebook appointment as it can only be done twice.

please what can i do so that my appointment confirmation can carry my new DS160 Confirmation number?

i know i can update profile on appointment booking portal but dont know if that will make things work fine.

please help is needed on what to do.

thanks in anticipation

Hello chuksvato -

Information on payment of SEVIS fees is found at https://www.fmjfee.com/ I don't handle that end of it, so can't really offer more help than that. SEVIS fees are paid to the Department of Homeland Security, visas are issued by the Department of State.

Dear abujaniv,

I recently applied for visa recently via Dropbox and was asked to come for interview with a 221g form. I have applied for a date for interview, is it possible to fill another ds 160 form, as I intend to change my purpose of travel and date of travel. Though both fall into B1b2 category. Or I just wait for the interview day and let the VO know the changes verbally.

Thank you
