Also Iraq was reported to have seeked US permission before entering Kuwait and its on record that it was not really military action as it was more or less a peaceful procedure

US (even tho I don't like them) did nothing here.

Saddam also fought Iran. I hope you know it. Was when kuwait was trying to be nice with Iraq that Saddam decided to seize kuwait and convert it to his own. When kuwait stopped taking orders from him,then it turned out they "stealing oil" now that's when I asked u,this truce, when called, you don't follow it,what then follows? Don't you think the US would use force to maintain world peace? Think about it.
Saddam just wanted power to rule the entire middle east. Where he would give an order and it's carried out. He wanted to be military and islamic leader, else there was no way ISIS with the help of Al Qaeda would have been formed. So what does that tell you, the government of Hussein waged wars both politically and religiously.
