Izombie just like your name suggests you don't and may never understand anything.
It is an aberration that your hero Nnamdi kanu is regularly disobeying his bail conditions and you do not see anything wrong with that.

Nnamdi kanu and his lieutenants are bent on making fame and fortune at of the whole Biafra scam.
I consider them as rogues and that's what they are.

Most of you who are largely ignorant or not even true Igbo's come here to support is criminal acts.

When we were given quit notice most of you went on rampage protesting that you can't be quit from your country.
Lets learn to live in peace with others please.

Nwata gini gburu nne gi- eju, gini gburu nna gi- eju, gini ka iji naka-eji, nwata I na anukwa ihe?

Please explain to me how KANU is a criminal and how he is making fortune out of the Biafran struggle. If you cannot do this, you are guilty of libel and should shut up.

Those who pretend to be Yoruba or Yoruba saying what concern Yoruba with biafran were mad! seriously mad!
were you people Yoruba as you claimed to be, if some one insult your father, your mother, your grand great father and mother, in front of you and you can't response or fight him back who were you in Yoruba community?
what Kanu/ipob left in Yoruba or anything Yoruba to earn the support of Yoruba?
do you think every Yoruba were bastard to take their ancestors to the market of politics for scrumps!
if not for those Yoruba who fight kanu & ipob back then, the biafra agitation started in Yoruba land... Lagos!
Can we fold our arms watching kanu to turn Yoruba land into war zone before push them down into their enclaves?
You biafran yoruba should reason!
where is victor banjo's burial? and how he died?
Yoruba stopped the first biafra, Yoruba will stop the second, the last will be stopped by Yoruba!
a word is in enough for the wise

You're right on this but the whole point I'm trying to make is: if you won't speak out against it, don't try to correct people for speaking about it because it's the truth. If a Yoruba poster said this about certain Igbo posters then I wouldn't care. Individuals can speak for themselves but when you see a significant group of individuals doing or saying a similar thing then you could group them together in that instance.
Again, let me ask you: how will I know that there's something to speak out about if I'm minding my business in the first place? Aren't you effectively demanding that all Yoruba people become the very sorts of busybodies you say you dislike, simply because a few cranks of unknown origin are making nuisances of themselves?

The least you can do is apply your logic to yourself. If you are willing to take on such responsibilities, good for you (though I can't emulate you in that case, as I have a life outside of Nairaland), but I can't say I've seen you jumping into each and every Yoruba thread where a troll suddenly starts shouting "Afonja", "amala and ewedu" or "brown roof", so by your logic it seems I'm justified in assuming these idiots speak for every Igbo person, right? Either that, or admit that your standard is unworkable in practice, and simply an excuse for giving in to prejudice.

The Yoruba Youth Congress (YYC) and the Coalition of Southwest Youths groups have called on the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to order the immediate arrest of the leader of the Indigeneous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.

The groups accused Kanu of taking Nigerians for granted, stressing that the IPOB leader is attempting to provoke the Nigerian youths.

Chairman of the Coalition of Southwest Youths groups who doubles as the National President of Yoruba Youths Congress, Prince Dapo Adepoju who addressed reporters in Akure, the state capital, said the groups are also aligning with the position of the Coalition of Northern Youth which asked the United Nations (UN) to see the IPOB as a terror group.

The Yoruba groups warned Kanu not to provoke violence in the country, noting that nobody has the monopoly of violence.

Adepoju disclosed that concerted efforts are being made at dousing rising temper of over 25million Yoruba Youths who are not happy with the war like attitude of Kanu and his men.

He said “We decided to keep mute all along as we felt Kanu and his men will allow for dialogue.

“But we are surprised that despite the fact that the Northern youths who earlier issue quit notice to the Igbo’s has make a U-turn on their decision, Kanu and his men are still moving around spreading hate speeches

“We are tired as we are losing patience, in as much as we understand that Kanu does not have the support of the majority of the Igbo’s, we felt its high time the security operatives do their job in getting him arrested

“Kanu does not have monopoly of violence as efforts are been made at dousing rising temper of over 25million Yoruba Youths who are not happy with the war like attitude of kanu and his men

“We therefore use this medium to call on the acting president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to oder the arrest of Kanu

“We equally support the letter addressed to the UN by the coalition of Nothern Youths to declare IPOB a terror group, “he said.

Adepoju also called on president Mohammadu Buhari’s administration to call for national Youths Confab, saying it will go a long way in itemizing the issues affecting the Nigerian youths.

If you don't care, you clearly have a tougher skin than I do, because I find it extremely annoying for people to stash lashing out at all Yorubas as "betrayers", "cowards", "backstabbers", "slaves", etc., based on nothing more than a report about a group nobody's ever heard of, which could have been organized by anyone from anywhere. The fact is that most of the insults and accusations on here have been directed at all Yoruba people, not just at the spokesman for this supposed "group", or at those Nairalanders who claim to be Yoruba while inserting themselves into Igbo-related discussions.

If people want to insult sarrki or any of the other die-hard "One Nigeria" types who interfere in Igbo threads, I have absolutely no problem with that, as they should have been minding their business in the first place. What I can't stand is how some people will then seize on this as "evidence" of some imaginary character flaw affecting all Yoruba people as a whole, even though I've never agreed with sarrki and company on anything related to politics, nor have most other Yoruba people on here. We know who voted for Fayose (even if I personally think he's a buffoon), but who elected sarrki and his Buhari-loving sympathizers as representatives of all Yorubas?

Btw, where did I say that I was referring to every Yoruba person?
It seems I misunderstood you to mean that it was safe to draw conclusions about a whole ethnicity based on the errant behavior of a few individuals. I'm glad to hear that's not the case.

These guys think we really care about their about their self determination??
There are over 200 tribes in Nigeria and each time anybody oppose their views, they label them yorubas..

If they are really sincere with themselves, they should look inwards amongst themselves because not all of them want this so called biafra. If they were all in full support of secession, i tell you, no force would be able to stop them. There is no unity among them but that is not my business.

If the Yorubas want restructuring TODAY, they will get it! And it has already begun. It's all about unity and sense of purpose which the igbos really lacked. But instead of sitting themselves down to unite for a course, they'll rather come online to insult people who does not share the same opinion as theirs.

There's a thread on frontpage sometimes ago when Ohanaeze asked the igbos to leave the north before September 1..but guess what?? They are all shouting they won't go anywhere. You can see those same set of people on this thread throwing insults upandan but they ain't ready to leave.
Amen thanks for the prayers... Let's live carefree and avoid throwing back tantrums... Omoluabi ni wa, won ko fija koowa . Keep living the good life Bro. Have a great day.

I understand... it seems unfair to have your entire ethnic group constantly repimanded for flaws that only a few exhibit and then have people label those who exhibit said flaws as your responsibility just because they share the same ethnicity as you, doesn't it? undecided

Now, imagine if an entire ethnic group was slaughtered based on the above principle? Imagine how terrible and unjust that would be... undecided

But how will the majority even know to speak out if they mind their business and ignore Igbo and Biafra threads? Do you go out of your way to follow each and every Yoruba-related thread to speak out against Igbos (or people claiming to be Igbo) looking for trouble? I don't have the time for that kind of thing, and I expect neither do you, as sane people with lives have only so much free time to waste.

I think a more sensible approach is to simply assume that individuals speak only for themselves, unless there is hard evidence that they have substantial support. Commanding a rally of 500,000 people in broad daylight gives a person the right to make claims of that sort, being an anonymous commenter on Nairaland certainly doesn't.

The right thing is for your authorized Yoruba group to issue a press release and contradict the YYC not to come here as a lone voice trying without success absolve Yoruba race of complicity whereas you don't speak for them just as you claim YYC font speak for Yorubas.

The only thing wrong with what kanu is doing is the language and insult he is using towards other tribes in his struggle for biafra. He can get biafra without having to insult others and provoke unnecessary fights or hatred. The south west and other southern region should speak up about wanting to leave Nigeria to form a country or better still be more vocal about restructuring. Yorubas especially need to speak up and put pressure on the FG concerning restructuring or getting their republic. People should not just leave kanu alone to be doing the fight. I am very sure if Kanu succeeds today with biafra, many other tribes will want to have their own countries. If that is the case, why aren't they speaking up.

Other regions need to let the north know that they do not have absolute power over Nigeria. Yorubas are probably keeping quiet because they have Osibanjo as VP and probably thinking he might become president if anything happens to Buhari. Well we all know the fulanis won't accept this. Even if Buhari decides to willingly resign today, the fulanis will do everything possible to frustrate osibanjo out of power and if they don't succeed, they'll definitely start another trouble to destroy his government. It will be funny to now see yourubas clamoring to leave Nigeria if the north refuses Osibanjo or insist that the north must continue to rule. The north can NEVER be comfortable if they are not in power, they will always create problems if they don't get power. This will never stop and if it's never going to stop, the solution is for everybody to go their separate ways.

Kanu doesn't need to insult anybody. He just needs to keep pushing and never relent. He must tell is followers never to engage in any form of violence , hence the FG sees an opportunity to use it against them. Whether every Nigerian likes it or not, the country will split at one point IF the northerners continue with the born to rule mentality. You cannot be saying ONE Nigeria and believe that you are above others.
The problem is that some learned fools dont see it that way.

The next general election if it will ever hold will see most parties producing a North/SE candidate and Yorubas will realise they have made a mock of themselves.

Am very sure, the North will never allow Osibanjo to be president and that is why they want the president to remain in power till 2019.

The best option we have is for all to clamour for restructuring.
