I laugh when I read comments from people that never stepped foot in university.
Some lecturers and profs sees themselves as semi gods and no one can question their injustice. Bello must have said no to many of their vices ,thereby warranting his expulsion from the school.

Bello just fell to the conspicuous trap of lecturers from ui who swore never to see him graduate from law school .

I see no clear violation from the young man,all I see is pure victimization.

A source close to Olusegun KAYODE Bello in Abuja campus of the Nigerian Law School and who pleaded anonymity said that Olusegun Kayode Bello is a very stubborn fellow who never listened to advice.
His issue with the school started in February where he had an issue with the Head of Control room Mr. Akinyemi over reservation of seat. The school rule is that “reservation of seat” is prohibited. That faithful morning, KAYODE came to class and removed a bag on one of the seats believing it was reserved (though he may be right) but he was told that the person whose bag was on the seat went out few minutes ago.
While he was arguing with the person sitting next to the seat, the owner of the seat came and KAYODE refused to stand up for her. The lady reported to the head of control room Mr. Akinyemi who told KAYODE to look for another sit. Kay Bello refused, instead he picked up a quarrel with Mr. Akinyemi and in the process his ID card was seized.
The next morning, Mr. Olusegun KAYODE Bello filed a petition against Mr. Akinyemi asking for his removal from office on the grounds of corruption and prejudicial in his dealings concerning both genders. He copied this letter to virtually every federal prosecuting authority. He copied the ” President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, The President of the Senate, EFCC, ICPC, DG Nigerian Law School, Chairman Council of Legal Education, PCC etc” and submitted it at the office of the Director General of Nigerian Law School but unfortunately his petition was rejected by the DG.
On this note, KAYODE got angry and wrote another petition against the removal of DG Nigerian Law School, Secretary Council of Legal Education and Head of Control room Mr. Akinyemi. He pasted his petition on every hostel. Everybody including the SRC pleaded with him to withdraw, that even though he wants to fight the management of Law School, he should wait till he get called to the bar but as stubborn as he is, he turned deaf to everybody’s advice, rather he termed it that he is fighting on behalf of the students.
It was at this point the SRC made it known to the entire school that they are not with him and he is not fighting for the students.
KAYODE customized one of his clothes to “ONADEKO, MAX-UBA & MR. AKINYEMI MUST GO” and was wearing it on campus during that period, it took the intervention of some elders who talked sense into him before he stopped wearing that customized cloth.
Recall that KAYODE was 1st evicted from the hostel based on misconduct but he refused leaving the hostel. During the externship, his payment for room to stay on campus during that period was rejected but he stayed believing nothing can happen.
On resumption day, KAYODE was denied entry into his room as he has been evicted from the hostel but refused leaving the hostel premises, rather he collected the keys to ROOM 18 and gain entry to his room through room 18 after breaking the back door to his room.
KAYODE was summoned twice by the Body of Benchers but he refused honouring the summon stating that Law School has failed, refused and neglected a pending petition against it at the PCC. He made it known to everyone that he will never honour their summon unless they first honour his pending petition against them at the PCC.
On a faithful day, all the law school students from Abuja Campus were not surprised when KAYODE was taken away from the Library by some Police men and Law School security guards and the next morning it was pasted everywhere in school that he has been expelled.
Recall that same KAYODE was also expelled from the University after writing petition against his Dean and Vice Chancellor of the school. He was kept at home for five years before he was given admission at the law school.
Another source said Kayode is a brilliant fellow but very stubborn. Nobody advises him.

Olusegun Kayode Bello is obviously a miscreant and doesn't deserve to be a professional.

Is he the only student?

How can only one individual court all these problems and controversy.
Imagine him asking the Police to arrest Law School officials.
What gentleman struggles over a mere lecture seat?

People might think he wants to be a fighter against injustice, the truth is that he is dancing to his village people's tunes.

I think hes from a poor background, he should go and join politics and later become minister of justice and punish the law skl authorities, a movie scene sha

Someone said, "all because of a seat"?

It wasn't because of the seat. I think mr Bello's 'village people' were trailing him.

I will partly blame the dude for not knowing when to lay low. He was on probation, a wise person would've avoided and withdrawn from any argument or scruffle that would've thrown the spotlight on him.

The law school claim that they had enough facilities (chairs) is nonsense. They showed bias in this case against the person of Bello. They were just waiting for any excuse to throw him out.

That lady should have taken another seat with all the empty seats there as claimed by the law school. What was so special about that particular seat?

They weren't fair on him but he should have avoided that situation.
As rightly stated by the school management, there are enough seats in the lecture hall to accomodate all students. I should know. Can you imagine? The rabble rouser left his seat at the back row and went to occupy the lady's seat which he thought was reserved for her and even when told that the lady only went out momentarily to ease herself, the thick-headed boy refused to vacate ther seat. Such tom-foolery! He got what he rightly deserved.

Forget about all that. In any well guided setting, before you can be honourably admitted in review of the expected requirements, your track records also speak volumes. If we claim that we go to school to learn, that learning doesn't only entail academic pursuit, it covers learning ways of life, learning morals. If a student who is now sound academically but defaults in line with set rules and terms, he could not be cleared off being satisfactorily achieved a brightest academic pursuits. He has to fall in within many tracks, attitudes and characters included. And you will agree with me that by giving him prior warning doesn't mean the school as toyed with his integrity. He was known to be notorious and no recent record shows that he is a changed person. In this view, the school has to give him terms and conditions, (not warnings)for his admission into the school and if found guilty of any given hard and fast rules, the school is liable under the act to withdraw his studentship.
Ok, so in your opinion, the squabble he had with the said girl was enough to expel him if not that the school is already biased against him? Will they expel another student for such an offence?

For me, I will put the blame of this whole scenero on the door step of the boy's parent. they ought to have seen all these traits and attributes from when he was at home and ought to have sought help for him. My assumption is majorly based on the report of the firm where he had his externship.

The first rule to observe before venturing into the daring hobby of activism is understanding the difference between self-will and conceit. When you embrace the former it will help make you in all forms while the latter will mar you in all forms. Olusegun Kayode Bello wasn't a smart activist - he's a very conceited person.

Am I the only person who cannot see a concrete case against this Bello fellow ?
Seems to me like the law school authorities are just making things up as they go along and looking for all sorts of reasons to punish the guy: he took someone's seat, he printed t-shirts in protest, he refused to answer queries, he had problems in his undergrad years, his principal sacked him bla bla bla.
The sum of their arguments seems to be against his non-conformism.
What is his main and concrete offence ?
In other words, NLS expelled him for expelling sake? How many students have the school expelled in recent years? Na wa oooo!

Did you read the post at all? If you did, did you come across a line where the law school decided to admit him despite the negative report against him and even made sign an undertaking to be of good behaviour which he serially violated? Has it occured to you that the said Bello might be a nut case? Is this the type of person that you think is proper to be admitted to the Nigerian Bar? Do you even know the standard set for any aspirant to the legal profession? In view of the statement released by the management of NLS, do you think that this Bello is a fit and proper person for the Bar? Pls, always digest and comprehend a post before rushing to comment. The Bello boy was rightly expelled from the Nigerian Law School in the circumstane of the case built against him.

Can just stop with this your wack judgement already! So, you're already condemning him based on what the NLS said about him? Have you heard his own side of the story? From the story, it is already clear that the NLS is negatively biased against him and they manifested it in their action. Ask yourself if they would have expelled another student based on the flimsy excuse of having a petty altercation with another student. Not judging anybody but I think the guy was not treated fairly and that is my major concern.

I am ashamed if this is coming from a school that trains our lawyers. It is a case of victimization. Why will u give a warning letter when he hasnt committed any crime? All his crimes were done in the university environment. If the university deemed it fit to have allowed him to graduate and did all his clearance, why would the law school bring up the issue again? Why declare him already guilty in the law school when he hasnt been accused of any crime within the law school? His actions were predicated by the actions of the law school.
Dont defend what you know nothing about... Ask for first hand information from students currently at the Abuja campus of Nigerian Law school. His behavior is very unruly and the management even pampered him to have lasted this long. Do your independent findings sir. If not for his arrogance which he is mistaking for outspokenness, how did a row over seat degenerate to this? You had issue with a colleague, with the Src Chairman, Chief security officer, DG, and he even wrote a petition against the secretary of the council for legal education for her to be arrested on this issue! Learning is beyond the class room, character and civility is inclusive.

He was not expelled based on his row with his colleague but his subsequent actions. UI was biased against him when he was expelled, SRC chairman was biased against him after he walked out on them(they went to meet him in his room), The law firm that disapproved of his unruly behavior too is also biased right? I get the fact that you're trying to sympathize with him based on how Nigerian authorities trample on citizens rights but sir Kayode's case is different . Ask for first information (which I can help you with contacts) ,None of his colleagues could even advise him without him insulting them. The guy has shown himself not to be fit to called to the bar and with his anger issue he will beat up a judge one day if he makes it to the bar.

they condoned his excesses from a very young age. it's apparent that this is a spoilt and disturbed young man who in the first instance shouldn't have been allowed to mingle with others. he showed irrational thought and I think it's now at the behest of his university to withdraw his certificate. he isn't found worthy in character and learning to bear that certificate.

who goes to another person's seat while on probation a d refuses to give it up despite numerous pleas to do so. he is a disturbed young man a d he will never rise to anything because even politics never tolerates a cantakerous fellow for a very long time
