Sharon was disgusted by the way he spoke, she could sense arrogance. With a grim she replied
" Why should i be scared of you ? Please get over that already. Am just not in the right mood now." Sharon managed to be a little friendly.
" not in the right mood ? Isn't today suppose to be a day full with smiles and joy ? I don't understand you Sharon " Khalifa said pretending to get worked up.?
"Am sorry i just developed fever hours before your arrival"she lied.

"so you suddenly developed fever the day i was visiting ? Sharon you have to tell me what the matter is. I need to know before taking any step" he said.

"if you really want to know, i didn't wanted this meeting to hold because i know where it will lead to and am not ready to be used as a business commodity. This is all of my fathers doing and believe me i was forced to do this" she opened up with fear as to what his reaction might be.

"What ? Then there is no point for this, i don't intend to force you in this too. Am an adult and i understand you" Khalifa said trying to be civil to maintained his position as Kroos' son.

"what are you doin" Sharon asked khalifa who was already up.

" am going, there is no point for this" Khalifa said to give Sharon some fear and hopping she stops him.

"No please don't go. Lets compromise." she said.

"what ? There is no how this can work if you are not interested" he maintained his acting skills.

"We can pretend to be okay please. I don't want my dad to be annoyed with me please. Save me khalifa" she begged him.

Khalifa thought a little and agreed to pretend afterall he don't even mean it. He was there for a mission and once he accomplish it, he will disappear for good.
"its ok, but i won't do this for long" he said alas.

"thank you" Sharon thanked looking down.

Sharon told him everything about her from beginning to end. She told him about her school life and friends but didn't mention Edwards name.

Khalifa was really shocked when he realised they are from thesame school.
"what's that your name again." he asked her.

"sharon" she replied.
Khalifa thought for a moment and remembered Sharon to be Edwards girlfriend's name. He always heard of that Sharon back in school but had never seen her. He even took part in trying to destroy her relationship by collecting money from Bella to pay some importer guy but didn't had the chance to see her himself.
He was very smart not to ask her about Edward in other not to arouse questions and suspicions.

"so tell me about you" Sharon brought him back from his thoughts.

He lied to her about everything and he knew better than telling her about his real self. He lied of schooling abroad and being in charge of his fathers business here in Nigeria.

Khalifa was not himself after hearing that Sharon was studying in same school as him. He got uncomfortable and didn't stayed long before announcing his departure.
They walked to the sitting room holding hands and Alex couldn't be more happier than then.
"i told you, they will get along" he whispered to his wife who was shocked herself. She knew they were up to something because Sharon won't be that easy to lure.

"So how is your encounter with my daughter ?" he said with in bright face.

"sir, i can't explain my feelings now. Your daughter is a most wonderful person to be with to be premised. I just had the best moment of my life" khalifa said in enthusiasm.
" that's my baby, for and give daddy a hug" he open his arms for a hug.

Mrs Alex couldn't say anything but due to the drama she was watching.

"Because of the happiness i feel now, i can't help but add your name among the list of people to be awarded the contract from my families company. I am really happy" he said with joy.

Everybody was shocked at that pronouncement, Sharon was more shocked because to her it was just a game of pretence but she didn't understood why khalifa was doing that.
" you don't mean it do you ?" Alex asked in anxiety.

"sir your daughter deserves more than that. You don't know how happy she has made me. In fact this is just the beginning" khalifa said.

"so what are the requirements for this contract" Alex asked.

"oh! Its nothing much for someone of your status. You will have to spend almost a billion to process some proposals and papers. But because of your daughter, i will get half a billion and you will be giving a contract worth a hundred billion" he explained.
"oh! My son thank you very much. When the time comes please inform me and i will get the money ready" he said.

They discussed about the project before khalifa left with Sharon walking him to his car.
"why did you gave that to my father ? Isn't this suppose to be a game of pretence ?" she asked

He stood alone in th room before Sharon returned from outside.

"Am glad that you are finally getting back to your senses. That is how a true Alexander should behave" Alex said to his daughter.

"Dad, i only did that to make you happy. My heart belongs to Edward and not even Kroos himself can change that" she fired at him.
"If you truly love that poor Edward of yours, then you will do as i say because you won't want to know what i ll do to him if you continue with him" he warned.

" dad you won't hurt him if you do not want to spend the rest of your life in jail. I know all the evils you have committed and how you have defraud chief Nicholas. I guess i don't need to say much"she said and left.

"come back here, you won't do that to your father" he screamed at his daughter who had left.

Alex was left alone thinking about what his daughter just said. He knows that if his secrets were to be exposed, he will s pend all the rest of his life in jail.
