Hello my beautiful nairalanders. Please I came to inquire from anyone with vital information. I thank you all for the previous answers I got here and the OP for opening this thread. I may not put it in the right way but I believe from experience you would understand what I intend asking. I want to know how much Gtbank converts naira to dollar for students. My sis already got the ticket to USA and she will be traveling anytime soon because her school will resume by 15th of next month. How do we go about the conversion? Is there any way we can get a conversion rate of #310-315? Please any way u know how to help with this question, please do. Thanks.

There's no problem traveling a year after graduating from college. His problem is he doesn't know why he chose the school.

It doesn't matter. As long as you're able to explain why you chose the school and how you heard about it.

The first bolded, your starting line get as e be. Don't you select the schools wt the program first and check their requirements. Read previous transcripts

The second one, think about it again. Why that prog stands apart in that school.

The third, that sector you want to work in, what will you do exactly with the knowledge you have acquired. Be specific.

Fourth: you really have to defend the school. I hope it's not the same VO that interviewed you. Sorry

Sure you can. But unless you're able to identify the reason for your denial, the outcome will most likely be the same.
So please post your transcript let others critique it.

Depending on what context you mean....if u are talking about Visa at the embassy then my comment has absolutely nothing to do with visa or chances of getting a visa

I am looking at the bigger picture and how when you graduate and are looking for a job. Having experience helps a lot . Same way if you can get an internship while school. That helps too

If you say TOEFL is hard, then you can't do/write GRE English. Because TOEFL is actually simple.

The VO did his job well for not giving you guys, albeit this is a sad news for you. You guys seem to be living a good life here in Nigeria. You and your husband are Engineers, with good job while where you are going is going to make your husband depend on you by US immigration law. So how does a Mechanical Engineer stay 2 to 3 years depending on his wife without access to personal earnings. Of course, he is going to become rusty!

To make matter worse, u going to school where you have all your families. Why didn't just name one distance family alone. There are just sometimes you have to withold some infos. You lack home ties. Everything points to your vanishing into America without looking back. You see why you won't give the visa to yourself if you were the VO.

It's good you applying alone now. It seems to wanna change a good career. Why don't you say MSc would give you a career edge in your job place. That it's easier to get into the management circle with a Master in your workplace and u think you ready to take on managerial responsibility. That shows a kind of home ties to your job.

Your husband can join you give two to three months you are there. It's easy for him to tell the VO he misses his wife, you guys are young couple and want to visit before coming back to his job in Nigeria.

The reason for F2 is to make sure he can visit you anytime for as long as you are student. The VOs hardly deny spouses going to see their student partners.

Goodluck on your next interview

Thanks very much. I appreciate

See your Bumpa questions grin.
Well lemme try to answer them.

Any reputable TOEFL center in Enugu

I don't think Enugu has a test centre. I know able Lagos, abuja and Asaba. You can google it up to confirm. And by the way, all ETS accredited test centers are reputable

How soon can one write the exam and expect result

Well you can sit fot the exam once you've registered. Results are usually out in about 10 days.
Anyone studying in Minot state university

Just type the name of the school in the search box above and you'll get hits if it has been used in any context.

Almost all universities offer financial aid in the exam form of Teaching, Research or Graduate Assistantship.

If or not you'll get it depends on a lot of factors.

1) Availability of funding in your choice school
2) Strength of your academic and extra curricular profile.
3) Some would also argue- GRACE
