Fela was sturborn and resilient.

No amount of flogging could break him.

He knew the truth and he stood by it.

He was a true hero. One we should emulate.

There is nothing heroic about fela

I remember when our principal with school bus had to go fela shrine back then now computer village to pick up all the girls that refuses to come to school becos they had to go to fela shrine on a school day.

Do you know what it means when someone refer to you as fela boy or omo fela? It is derogatory. Meaning Indian hemp smoker, prostitute, bad person, wayward etc

Even after his died before his house at gbemisola was turn into a museum. You still don't understand why that place was turned into a museum it was a strategy to keep the area igbo free

My friends still go there to smoke Indian hemp in fela's compound even after his death. Some parents had to relocate their children abroad becos he corrupted them in terms of xter.

Police don't raid his house when he was alive he gives them igbo.

[quote author=dhope001 post=59092610]Blessed Memory how I wish he knew Christ before his death [/quote.

Fela knew Christ. All that he did, including his manner of death, were authorised and approved by his Maker. He was a good example of Christlikeliness.
Who amongst us nowadays will wish for a Child like John The Baptist who was neither eating nor sleeping with his parents? The Military will carry the burden of Fela's death for a while.

Sadly, Fela was no saint. But you can't say he was not a musical legend. No one is perfect. Michael Jackson is still called a legend today even with all his drug and pedophilia cases.

Creative people are some of the craziest people on earth. Even the quiet ones are crazy. But that doesn't in any way diminish the greatness of their works.

its true that fela's music was legendry & full of originality. he was also brunt to the authorities, telling them the harsh truths. but his actions was confusing as to the type of society he was agitating for. his physical packaging was totally of the hook. this area boys menace was started by fela system. fela has good features, as well as the bad sides. but he was never a good role models to the youths because he was highly corrupting.

Imagine using someone's place for over 10 years and refusing to pay. What is legendary about that

Corrupting children and killing innocent individuals

Fell would forever remain a scar on the conscience of this nation. He wasn't a prophet, but his message was with metaphor and prophecy. The immediacy that his message sent out was never acted upon. But now,the manifestations are all too glaring for all to deny
