Actually under Yaradua Jonathan was chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Power (electricity)
Yaradua stayed in power for only 2.5 years, why did Jonathan not go back to the Obasanjo plan after Yaradua died if he truly believed in it?
Some people said Jonathan had a plan but Yaradua did not implement it
Jonathan became Ag President in Feb and full president in May. It was in August that he unveiled his presidential roadmap on power

I never said OBJ is the best President Nigeria ever had. On the contrary, I believe he was one of the worst - he a thief as I earlier said and was so consumed with the 3rd term agenda that he did not kilprepare a successor. There was no evil GEJ did which OBJ had not surpassed before GEJ came on board. Abacha was a saint when compared with OBJ. The genocides committed by OBJ in both Odi and Zakibiam were not replicated in GEJ's time. Any government that deliberately orders the killing of innocent citizens it is meant to protect as it's primarily role has failed altogether.
Obasanjo remains the worst president so far on the strength of the fact that only him twice had the opportunity to change Nigeria for good but in both cases left a legacy of genocide, corruption, election fraud, and all other vices that unmake a nation.

GEJ's only problems were that he was weak, lacked the political will to cause any concrete paradigm shift, pandered to the whims of the very Northern Oligarchy and their Southern collaborators from whose stranglehold he was voted to free the common man, was lukewarm and indifferent to the question of return to true federalism, and was a One-Nigerianist per excellence.

Let us even assume without conceding that GEJ was that bad as you assume, then you only need to remember that it was this same OBJ that imposed him and Yaradua on the country despite knowing that GEJ was that bad. Thus, without OBJ we would not have ever experienced a GEJ presidency which to you was so terrible. And in all his anti-GEJ tirades OBJ has till today never once apologized to Nigerians for bringing upon them such a disaster. Yet you keep believing him.


However, the mistake you are making here is that you are juxtaposing a massacre that merely resulted from GEJ'S incompetence with massacres that were deliberately ordered and sponsored by OBJ. When an inexperienced and naive man fails in a duty, you don't compare it with an experienced man who purposely decided to fail when he could do better.
The Odi and Zakibiam massacres were such that OBJ gave specific instructions to the soldiers to return there on revenge mission and shoot on sight indiscriminately. GEJ never so ordered but just that he was incompetent hence those havocs happened. They were not deliberate on his part.
Mind you that GEJ later apologized for his mistakes and naivety induced carelessness whereas OBJ till today justifies his own massacres and boasts he will repeat them if given the opportunity again.
These are the differences. OBJ is evil.
