English has borrowed many words from other languages, such as "kowtow" from Chinese, "corn" from Spanish, and this "pariah" from Hindi.

but the point is : since you Nigerian have so many advantages , such as English education from primary school to college, and the English speaking environment at home and in society, and tons of English information in form of internet resources and books, you still speak English as terrible as that of the lower class of Chinese .

if you Nigerian want to improve your English , you need to do things as below :

1) to make your elementary education universal.

2) to learn your mother tongue well before you start learning English.

3) since Nigeria is not an English speaking country, you have to shape your mind and get ready for English study by learning a basic language instead, which happens to be your mother tongue, no matter how humble it is.

4) to read more masterpieces, not just chat on facebook with a white chick.
