non that I know of and using organic approach is relatively safer than conventional drugs.

My chix are 2 weeks today. Not impressed with their weight so I switched to my main feed which I also formulated myself. They have been on ginger, garlic and aloe vera extract. I sometimes give them Bitterleaf, scentleaf and ginger as antibiotics. No vaccine no disease no mortality. All natural herbs. They are fine and very active. Will give them fermented Tagiri in a few days to help boost immunity against NCD and also for some valuable nutrients.

I bought these 5 layers from a dying farm a few days ago. They were sick and the owner lost interest in the business so I bought just 5 to challenge myself. I used the organic approach and today they are fine. they are on my formulated feed and hopefully they will start laying again.

I'd advice every poultry farmer that wants to adopt this organic approach to also buy lactobasillus. Its an amazing serum that can be used for both poultry and fish farming. It prevents a couple of diseases and improves the gut health of the birds and also boosts growth. Cheers.

The cost of feeding my 147 cockerel is to high. .i wanted to mix der feed with PKC but I was told not to do dat now, bcoz dey are not yet matured enough, dey are 5weeks and 2days old..
Pls teach me on aw to fomulate der feed my sef..

With d picture attached , I tink DAT condition is calledy botulism wic could be as a result of mycotoxins (mouldy feeds)/chemical spray in the surroundings... Tell him to check inwards and report back so DAT we could profer solution together

I accidentally crushed one of my birds under the drinker. learned a very valuable lesson today. I'm sad it died but I'm glad it wasn't because of some disease. Others are doing great and are very active. I'll start giving them fermented feed from Monday to boost their growth.

Runny brown poop. Could be E.Coli OR Infectious bronchitis. A mixture of ginger, garlic and basil extract would do the job. It's a lot easier if you use the organic approach from day 1. I'm not sure how effective this concoction would be since you have always used vaccines for your birds.

Noisy breathing and coughing, nasal discharge, watery eyes which spreads slowly within the flock.

PLS HOW DO I FERMENT THE FOOD

10ml of LAB to 3 litres of water. put the solution in a glass container or a thick plastic container and add the feed. make sure the solution is completely covering the feed. put a net over it and keep in an open place but away from the sun for 3 days. you may add water when the feed swells to the surface of the solution. on the 3rd day you may give the feed to your birds.

In d first place broilers shud nt reach 10weeks, @ 7 weeks dey shud b ready fr slaughter....secondly re u a professional colleague or u re jst into d biz...thirdly tell us the weight in kg nt jst telling jst telling us d weight is nt encouraging, wat s ur mortality rate so far?
