Change where you normally hang your towel after use, or change your towel and observe it first. |

I've gone through this, it's not your water or soap it's simply your skin that gets irritated once sponge goes on it. Just use soap and water no sponge. I stopped using sponge 6 years ago and I'm peace with myself. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Mbkite:Your condition is called aquagenic pruritus. Just google for a cure, you might get a solution. I use to suffer from this in the past. I tried the cure I got from google. I don't know whether they worked though but I suddenly stopped suffering from it. When it stopped, I didn't know 6 Likes |

Stop bringing such cases on social media to get counsel. That's how someone will have typhiod and instead of visiting hospital they'll go for self medication, before you realize it it's too late. Op, go see a dermatologist or go to a general hospital; one will be assigned to look into your case. 3 Likes |

Mbkite: I have been through this many years ago. if you want a solution to ur problem pls stop using sponge to bath. use only soap. Any type of soap without sponge is ok. The last time I used sponge was in 1998 and there was no itching of any sort. In 2005, I tot over the years it would have stopped and I tried to use a new sponge I bought to my amazement the itching was much. I quickly ran to the bathroom for another round of bath. till today I don't use sponge. Dirty towel or soap or water is not the problem but stop using sponge of any kind. just rub soap on ur body and use hand to wash it down. You can bath as many times as u like and there will be no negative reaction. just try it now after reading this piece and thank me later. 4 Likes |

Mbkite:1) use a mild soap 2) moisturizer your body after bathing. I tried out a lot but Palmer's cocoa butter formula with vitamin e did it for me. 3) till you find the right moisturizer use loraditine 4) visit a dermatologist |

Mbkite: I know someone experiencing something similar, but happens only when having a shower with water dat isn't really hot. Cold, warm and slightly hot water causes that itchy feeling for this particular person, the water has to be significantly hot. Another remedy is doing proper workout so to sweat, for some reason that helps stop the itchy feeling from arising. 2 Likes |

Heat, noise & dirt (towel)aggravates the reaction. Some drugs initiates semblance of relief ( I dont know why)e.g omega h 3 suppement tonic 1 Like |
