I watched with utter disgust a recent video where Nnamdi Kanu was seen gallivanting while inspecting a parade and guard of honour mounted by the 'Biafra Security Service (BSS)' in Abia State. What a shame! While reactions have continued to trail the ambiguous show of charlatanry and utter exploitation of Ndigbo by the masquerade called Nnamdi Okwu Kanu, the facts remain that Kanu is a pseudo criminal perpetuating his ideals for personal gains.
The whole show of shame completely shatters possible silver lining in the rejuvenated Biafran dream amongst Ndigbo sons and daughters around the world. Kanu’s desperation for relevance has taken him overboard in a display of sheer ignorance, lack of coordination and application in his chauvinistic agenda.

The video was supposed to be a propaganda aimed at projecting the readiness of Kanu and his IPOB agitators to enforce the Biafra dream, by applying force where necessary. The BSS is supposed to be the vital component of the Biafran Armed Forces, with the mandate to muster military options in enforcing the realization of Biafran.

However, what we saw was indeed an eyesore, an insult on the intelligence and versatility of Ndigbo. It dashed the hope of anyone who thinks Kanu may have genuine intentions and organized plans afterall.
First, members of the BSS looked hungry, unaware, and are largely illiterate who were apparently detached from the show of shame even though they were the objects of manipulation. The BSS Parade Commander hardly made a coherent statement. He tried to rehearse a script while making disjointed parade commands. Even when the Nnamdi Kanu inspected the parade, it was another shenanigan for the camera.

My thoughts are clear and simple. Kanu will continue to pursue his acts of deception against the sensibilities of Ndigbo, as long as those WHO MUST speak continue to maintain a cold silence or total indifference. I know without equivocation that we the Ndigbo remain the target of Kanu's exploitation. He knows our passion for self actualization, so he will continue to exploit his caricature campaigns at the detriment of our collective will.

No wonder members of the BSS lack any form of originality. They played parade songs of the Nigerian military, while the acclaimed leader of the Biafra movement inspected the parade. They even sang an Hausa song (....wayo wayo wayo,......wayoyo....) commonly used by the Nigeria military and para-military outfits during training and road walks. Even the “general salute” which Kanu acknowledged and the accompanying trumpet sounds is copycat of the Nigerian Army.

It is therefore obvious to all who can see that Kanu has nothing different to offer. He wants to lead the Ndigbo by faith or by force. With his BSS, he is only primed to take his thuggery to Anambra State where he has vowed to disrupt the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the State. We must rise and resist this sham and refused to be cowed by Kanu and his group of Social Media Warriors.

I hate to say this but I agree with the writer Frank Eze. Ndigbo, for just a minute, I beg you, take off the "Pro-Biafra" spectacles / glasses and see clearly, for JUST 1 minute. Now, ask yourselves- how on earth does Kanu intend to liberate the Igbos from this contraption called Nigeria? By using his illiterate boy scouts? Ever heard the saying "don't bring a knife to a gun fight"? Kanu wants to liberate the East by leading his BS sorry BSS to battle against the Nigerian army? I am all for Biafra but I have to say Kanu's strategy and that of his team (IF he has any and that's a big IF) has been clueless right from day one. No Diplomatic game plan whatsoever, no proper international presence / recognition, and going by what I have seen with this BS security team or whatever they are, I would say he also has no contingency plan in the eventuality of violent against the people he so "loves".

Kanu has so far handled the Biafran struggle as a personal pet project of his and it is A LOT MORE BIGGER THAN THAT. We need intellectuals to champion the Biafran cause, Kanu has been a bold outspoken individual so far and I commend him for his sacrifices, however the new Biafra WOULD NEVER be a "one man" show, We wouldn't have a repeat of what happened in the 60's when Ojukwu, as motivated and eloquent as he was, stubbornly refused to listen to the wise counsel of more experienced Biafran high ranking officers who served as combat soldiers in Vietnam, Burma and in the Congo crisis, if only he was willing to be humble and receive some advise from his colleagues and fellow Biafran soldiers with a lot more experience, we would not have been in this sorry excuse of a country called Nigeria and I probably wouldn't be written this article, but here we are!

Kanu should learn to sit back and think things through before taking actions, his impulsive actions and decisions has so far made the Biafran struggle seem like a joke, he needs to build an intellectual team and send them out to create more international awareness for the cause, garner more support and learn from history on how smaller, weaker nations have defied the odds against them by humiliating their larger and more advanced adversary(ies). The time of being outspoken has come and gone, the call for Biafra has NEVER been louder than it is now (with the exception of the mid 60's incident), he has our attention, NOW IS THE TIME TO SIT BACK AND WORK ON GAME PLAN.

Regardless of where you stand on the call for Biafra, understand this - voluntarily or involuntarily the lives of MILLIONS of people are now in Kanu /IPOB hands, some of these people are in support of him, some are not in support and some undecided, ANY BLUNDER, I repeat ANY BLUNDER as a result of one mans braggadocio or arrogance could led to the death of MILLIONS and I for one wouldn't rest until that man is paid back in Kind.

I dont see anything wrong with what Kanu has done. He has said that he is not going for any armed confrontation and that all wants is a referendum which is a democratic instrument.

WHY WE ESTABLISHED BSS -- IPOB

This essay is specifically designed to achieve two aims. For record purposes, on the 15th of August 2017, almost every media platform within the world in general and in Nigeria in particular was agog when the video of Biafra Security Service surfaced online. Millions of Biafrans and Nigerians alike reacted to it in different ways. Some people said Nnamdi Kanu is assembling men to wage war against Nigeria government while some people in their own school of thought said he shouldn't have allowed such sensitive security display in the public glare. Well, I believe people have the right to think in any direction concerning the mind blowing scenario three days ago but one thing is still crystal clear, mischief makers should not blow such a lofty movement out of proportion. More importantly, Biafra Security Service was born out of necessity. I can prove it. The inability of the Nigerian government to provide optimum security has warranted the baptism of BSS. Perhaps, Biafrans in their own land have been maimed, raped and killed by the rampaging herdsmen without any substantial effort on the part of the so called government to arrest the situation. When we raise alarm over their lame duck approach, they will hurriedly rush to their compromised media to tell the world a bogus and empty lies that the perpetrators came from a neighbouring country ( Libya, Chad and Niger ) and not Nigeria. This terror group armed with AK 47 Kalashnikov operate with so much audacity that keeps every right discerning individual thinking if they are State sponsored terror movement. Nobody has the temerity to question how they got their guns. They are above the law. Daily, Biafrans all over Biafra land are being confronted with this problem of insane marauding men who move around with sophisticated guns and their cattles, butchering young and old who tries to stop and question why they take their cattle's to graze on their farm land, their only means of survival.
In some cases, when our people react in self- defense, one illiterate in Abuja will issue order for dozens of army and police to be drafted in the affected community in other to intimidate and cow our people into submission. What happened in Enugu is a clear case in point. There are other occasions when this terror group will send threat letters to their target communities, intimating them on their possible invasion and which they will end up doing while the police and the army will stand by the side and watch. Biafrans can hardly distinguish between the people ( Police and army ) who claim to protect them and the terror groups that comes by the night ( like Herdsmen ) to snuff life out of them. The only thing they care about is how to set up check points for continual extortion of money from hapless motorists and pedestrians alike. What about Ozubulu terror attack that led to the soaking of innocent blood in the church of God? What about the Assemblies of God church attack that took the life of a police officer and another innocent Biafran which the police criminally narrowed down to arm robbery attack? Agatu massacre? All these things are happening because our oppressors are the same people policing our environment while we sleep. He that dines with the devil must do that with a long spoon.
Biafrans listen, we must welcome BSS with warm and open arms. Why did I say so? I am saying this because, a rejected person cannot also reject himself. It is impossible. We have been abandoned to our own fate when it comes to security. Nigerian government is not perturbed by the porous state of security situation in Biafra land. Now that our own BSS has come on board, we must work together to use this civil and unarmed organization to re-strategize more especially in the aspect of intelligence gathering. They will be proactive in gathering intelligence with the major objective of forestalling any possible attack in any part of Biafra land. They won’t be parading around with vans, they will move around on plain cloths snooping every nook and cranny of Biafra land. BSS is simply a conglomerate of young volunteers who have chosen to risk their lives with the sole aim of getting classified and decrypted information that will help to grease the faster restoration of Biafra. Nobody should give us the bad impression that BSS is designed for war, it is far from that. We are not waging any war.
If I may ask, can unarmed civil organisation wage a war? The answer is practical no. We are not war mongers There are several unconstitutional security organisations in Nigeria such as CJTF- Civilian Joint Task Force ( of which am not against ) which was a child of necessity, there is sharia police and numerous others. All of them came on board because of the inability of the government to provide maximum security and therefore Biafra BSS won't be an exception. The reason why some people in their little enclave are raising unnecessary dust is because of the name 'Biafra' that appeared boldly on it. The name Biafra can be very intoxicating to some mischief makers. I wonder why people will be having sleepless night over an organisation that is civil and unarmed. To show you BSS has nothing to hide, they showcased their activity to the world. Can Nigeria terror DSS do that? I guess we can possibly answer that question. Even some 'wannabes' were very fast to issue press statement in the name of dissociating their dead personalities from BSS. I don't blame such lame ducks because most times it takes a lion heart to develop a strong rational mental spirit. IPOB has not in any way nursed and sponsored any arm group or has abandoned the democratic template set by UN that will guide any Indigenous People seeking for their freedom. All our demands and actions have always been in line with the extant laws. It will be sheer flippancy for any wannabe to be spewing lies from his comfort zone against IPOB that has broken and set new records in the art of freedom fighting. The most non violent freedom fighting movement ever known in the history of mankind.

BENEFITS OF BSS
Biafrans, just like what I said before, we must embrace BSS with warm and open arms because of the following benefits:
1 ) BSS will close up the big security lacuna that has led to constant attacks against our people occasioned by poor intelligence gathering by Nigerian security agencies. By providing firsthand information to our volunteer journalists who will now ensure that our people are properly educated and fortified on how to be security conscious
2 ) BSS will also help in controlling our rallies or any form of IPOB evangelism. If we are very observant, in most of the places our leader has visited, you see them building human chains around the venue. This will help to keep criminals and trouble makers away from our activities. We are peace loving people
3 ) It will also remind our oppressors that we have lost faith in their security agencies. We want to help ourselves against the invaders that kill with AK 47 and impunity without anybody arresting and prosecuting them
4 ) BSS will also help to counter cheap lies with superior information and evidence against Nigerian government whenever they want to tell their usual lies to their gullible audience. We have not forgotten the staggering lies they tried to sale to the world concerning what transpired at Ozubulu in Anambra State. In such situation, BSS will neutralise them with audacious and verified facts and figures.
5 ) Ultimately, it will give Biafrans that very sense of belonging that there is an eagle eye hovering around them, making sure that their lives and properties is properly protected. There is nothing like 'our own'. We must eschew any atom of fear and remain focused. We are only helping ourselves. Insecurity is the worst thing that could happen to anyone. Biafra BSS is not an arm group but only a volunteer civil intelligence gathering organisation with the sole aim of risking their lives in getting classified and decrypted information that will help in Biafra restoration. Kanu is personalising the Biafran struggle no doubt. His love for media attention is one factor that may end up pushing Biafra into several decades to come. Its either our leaders, I mean intellectuals among us, pick up the baton from here, and push it to its conclusive ends, or we sit our asses back and re-strategies on playing a wining Nigerian politics. [b]This thread is in response to the issue on board. Northerners wants Igbos out, and Yorubas are not hiding their disdain for the Igbos, either. Nnamdi Kanu was vocal on Biafra, but his method and antics, attracted lots of hate and resentment from Nigerians. Perhaps, that was exactly his overall objective, attract hate and make them push Igbos out of the federation.
Respect to Nnamdi Kanu, even though I'm not in tune with his methods and ideology. Some of his ideologies on country formation is completely alien and ridiculous, especially on the "two wrapper" principle (Igbos can relate better). These, among others makes me cringe on his idea of Biafra.


Going by recent events, and threats coming from Arewa Youths, I think its high time Igbo intellectuals converge and chart the way forward. Yes, I support the idea of crafting a new entity for the Igbo people. My entire existence, I have learnt to tell myself the truth, void of pretense. Base on historical data and events over the years, I can categorically say, the Igbos are the most hated group in Nigeria. So no need to keep lying to ourselves that all is well. All is not well. Its only in Nigeria that a call to self-determination breeds hate and threat to existence. If not, why should the issue of referendum call for expulsion from Northern territory? Will Nigerians be stopped from owning properties and business in Biafra if its actualized? The answer is no. Nigerians will always be Nigerians.

Where are people like Charles Soludo, Pat Utomi, Ben Nwabueze.... etc? time to take the bull by the horn. The need to converge and create a new destiny for our future generation is now. Kanu has played his part. Visionaries and pragmatic minds need to take over and chart a new course for the Igbo nation. young and old who tries to stop and question
why they take their cattle's to graze on their farm
land, their only means of survival.

In some cases, when our people react in self-
defense, one illiterate in Abuja will issue order for
dozens of army and police to be drafted in the
affected community in other to intimidate and
cow our people into submission. What happened
in Enugu is a clear case in point. There are other
occasions when this terror group will send threat
letters to their target communities, intimating
them on their possible invasion and which they
will end up doing while the police and the army
will stand by the side and watch. Biafrans can
hardly distinguish between the people ( Police
and army ) who claim to protect them and the
terror groups that comes by the night ( like
Herdsmen ) to snuff life out of them. The only
thing they care about is how to set up check
points for continual extortion of money from
hapless motorists and pedestrians alike.
What about Ozubulu terror attack that led to the
soaking of innocent blood in the church of God?
What about the Assemblies of God church attack
that took the life of a police officer and another
innocent Biafran which the police criminally
narrowed down to arm robbery attack? Agatu
massacre? All these things are happening
because our oppressors are the same people
policing our environment while we sleep. He that
dines with the devil must do that with a long
spoon.

Biafrans listen, we must welcome BSS with warm
and open arms. Why did I say so? I am saying
this because, a rejected person cannot also reject
himself. It is impossible. We have been
abandoned to our own fate when it comes to
security. Nigerian government is not perturbed by
the porous state of security situation in Biafra
land. Now that our own BSS has come on board,
we must work together to use this civil and
unarmed organization to re-strategize more
especially in the aspect of intelligence gathering.
They will be proactive in gathering intelligence
with the major objective of forestalling any
possible attack in any part of Biafra land. They
won’t be parading around with vans, they will
move around on plain cloths snooping every nook
and cranny of Biafra land. BSS is simply a
conglomerate of young volunteers who have
chosen to risk their lives with the sole aim of
getting classified and decrypted information that
will help to grease the faster restoration of Biafra.
Nobody should give us the bad impression that
BSS is designed for war, it is far from that. We
are not waging any war.

If I may ask, can
unarmed civil organisation wage a war? The
answer is practical no. We are not war mongers
There are several unconstitutional security
organisations in Nigeria such as CJTF-
Civilian Joint Task Force ( of which am not
against ) which was a child of necessity,
there is sharia police and numerous others.
All of them came on board because of the
inability of the government to provide
maximum security and therefore Biafra BSS
won't be an exception. The reason why some
people in their little enclave are raising
unnecessary dust is because of the name
'Biafra' that appeared boldly on it. The name
Biafra can be very intoxicating to some mischief
makers. I wonder why people will be having
sleepless night over an organisation that is civil
and unarmed. To show you BSS has nothing to
hide, they showcased their activity to the world.
Can Nigeria terror DSS do that? I guess we can
possibly answer that question.
Even some 'wannabes' were very fast to issue
press statement in the name of dissociating their
dead personalities from BSS. I don't blame such
lame ducks because most times it takes a lion
heart to develop a strong rational mental spirit.
IPOB has not in any way nursed and sponsored
any arm group or has abandoned the democratic
template set by UN that will guide any Indigenous
People seeking for their freedom. All our demands
and actions have always been in line with the
extant laws. It will be sheer flippancy for any
wannabe to be spewing lies from his comfort
zone against IPOB that has broken and set new
records in the art of freedom fighting. The most
non violent freedom fighting movement ever
known in the history of mankind.


BENEFITS OF BSS

Biafrans, just like what I said before, we must
embrace BSS with warm and open arms because
of the following benefits:

1 ) BSS will close up the big security lacuna that
has led to constant attacks against our people
occasioned by poor intelligence gathering by
Nigerian security agencies. By providing firsthand
information to our volunteer journalists who will
now ensure that our people are properly educated
and fortified on how to be security conscious

2 ) BSS will also help in controlling our rallies or
any form of IPOB evangelism. If we are very
observant, in most of the places our leader has
visited, you see them building human chains
around the venue. This will help to keep criminals
and trouble makers away from our activities. We
are peace loving people

3 ) It will also remind our oppressors that we
have lost faith in their security agencies. We want
to help ourselves against the invaders that kill
with AK 47 and impunity without anybody
arresting and prosecuting them

4 ) BSS will also help to counter cheap lies with
superior information and evidence against
Nigerian government whenever they want to tell
their usual lies to their gullible audience. We have
not forgotten the staggering lies they tried to sale
to the world concerning what transpired at
Ozubulu in Anambra State. In such situation, BSS
will neutralise them with audacious and verified
facts and figures.

5 ) Ultimately, it will give Biafrans that very sense
of belonging that there is an eagle eye hovering
around them, making sure that their lives and
properties is properly protected. There is nothing
like 'our own'.
We must eschew any atom of fear and remain
focused. We are only helping ourselves. Insecurity

is the worst thing that could happen to anyone.
Biafra BSS is not an arm group but only a
volunteer civil intelligence gathering organisation
with the sole aim of risking their lives in getting
classified and decrypted information that will help
in Biafra restoration. I rest my case.
