I dont understand these guys. Dangote is a businessman and he can decide to locate his business wherever he decides to put it. Which businessman will put his interest in a place where he will not have rest of mind? Moreover, Lagos and Ondo state closeby have oil in commercial quantities to provide crude oil for the refinery located in Lagos. Only a foolish business man will source for raw materials in distance places when they are available closeby. Atiku said he advised OBJ not to build power stations that depend on gas. Today the nation is plunged into darkness whenever gas pipes are blown by militants. The Niger delta like Borno state is not a place a serious business man will put his money because of militancy, cultism, kidnapping, armed robbery, terrorism and other negative vices.

Yoruba can't fight Igbo or anybody....

One they are legendary cowards and won't dare it

Two ..if they dare it...Igbo will fight back in Lagos and that will mean burning down Lagos

Choose your words carefully

Face the Niger Delta youths ....don't bite more than you can chew

Only strangers to Nigerian politics will take these jobless ND touts serious.

Oct 1 will come and go. Nothing will happen to igbos in the north, nothing will happen to yorubas in the ND. Much Ado about nothing.

Igbos who are used to picking street fight with every tribe, what have their fight earned them since 1967??

ND have been blowing their own pipelines what have they achieved? If my father offends me and I refuse to smash his car windshield is that cowardice?

Yes yorubas don't engage in physical fights. You got that right. But you can't beat them in the intellectual battle field. They are master strategists

You are too blinded by hate to realize this But it's the truth.

Thank you. They promised to fire a misile to Aso rock last year but we didnt see anything. Cultist, threathening the sovereignty of the nation.
Ihatepork:
Story. Mumu groups everywhere. Yorubas will be in that region after October 1st and nothing will happen lol. They issued the same ultimatum last year and nothing happened grin grin cheesy

.

How is it our fault that Yorubas are the ones managing the companies. These companies aren't owned by Yorubas. It's based on merit. I would have understood if Mobil, Chevron and Total were owned by Yorubas. They aren't treating you like slaves. Stop busting pipelines

This sounds like the typical "They are the cause of all our woes" nonsense. How can Yorubas stop oil firms from relocating their headquarters? Are Yorubas the owners of the companies? You were issuing threats that they must relocate. That's not how to convince companies to listen to you. They have their headquarters in Lagos because their safety couldn't be guaranteed in the ND. Have we forgotten the whole thing about kidnapping foreign oil workers so quick?

Another lie based on ignorance. Almost all the ports in the ND are functioning properly. The proof is here on this thread. All the lies were busted on this thread. https://www.nairaland.com/3977374/eastern-ports-dysfunctional

If the nonsense lie about Yorubas not allowing things work in other parts of the country was true, then why did Dangote leave Ondo state to site his refinery in Lagos. Is Ondo state not a Yoruba state? He didn't site it there because the communities weren't willing to co-operate with him.

I thought you are an igbo man.

Can you give me one reason why igbo leaders of youths did not give Hausas same ultimatum to leave the east?

Since you are so brave and ready to fight you should have given the Hausas a shorter ultimatum. Instead your governors and elders travelled to the north to beg and you are here ranting.

No tribe looks up to igbos for anything. You have succeeded in destroying the little goodwill your fathers acquired.

Textbook definition of cowardice wink. Niger Delta issued a quit notice to them and they start blaming Igbos because they are too cowardly admit that "unity" of this nation is one big farce. If you're going to blame anyone blame Arewa youths for setting the wheel in motion.
Oh well, regardless of whom you lay the blame 1st of October looks to be a defining date and I can't wait for it.

Rubbish. How do you expect Dangote to site his refinery in a place where his facilities will be prone to destruction. This is business. You site your business in a safe place not where random "our oyel" people will be threatening you when things don't go their way. He won't even be getting the oil for free. He will probably still have to pay some money
You sound selfish here, he can not cite his refinery in a troubled zone but he can tap crude oil from troubled zone? Who caused the troubles in d zine ? We must be sincere here the Niger delta has been taken for a ride. Why do we need to cite a refinery in far away Kaduna and run pipeline to Kaduna just to show how domineering the niertherners had been. Why give most of the oil block to the northerners at the expense of the Niger Delta. Until we are sincere with nugeria we will not have peace

lol potopoto man. How come Hausas are still doing as they like in SE after telling you people straight to your bonobo faces that they don't want Shuku Alabuku development, and that you should go?
Had you done that, by now, Biafra would have probably become an actually real prospect.

Who is needing who here?
First,am a lady. What are Hausa actually doing in the east? At least what happened in Ife or mile 12 hasn't happened in the east. Igbos in the north are not leaving if they feel they shouldn't. They are Nigerians and they will exercise their right to live wherever they wish. The northerners can do their worse. As for Biafra, it will come when it will. Funny enough am watching a movie(a trip to Jamaica/atm ) on African magic urban right now and akpos just said now 'everybody know say na only teeth yorubads sabi knack' i shock. Wat a coincidence.

Yes but only Enugu Fulani massacre and Hausa-Igbo clashes in Anambra and Imo have happened so far.

Let we Igbos sweep them under the carpet and pretend they didn't happen joor! grin

We don't want the Yorubas to laugh at us.

Your point sounds logical but could only be applauded if there are no insecutity in that region. Come to think of it if you should establish a refinery of about 20billion dollars in an environment where you are not sure there wont be uproar and destruction of properties and companies in the next 24hours after the inception of your establishment all in in te name of One Nigeria. Is that not foolishness on ones part.

Let us always be realistic and sincere in our veiws and not be putting sentiments.

I believe very much in One Nigeria. But advicing Dangote to build Refinery of over 20 billion dollars in NIGER DELTA is shear wickedness. Its protection is not guaranteed.

Happy Sunday

How many industries in the Niger Delta have been destroyed? Have any of the govt refineries been attacked? If the Niger Delta were half as destructive as you paint it, Nigeria would have looked away from crude long ago. Atiku owns Intel conglomerate in the same Niger Delta. The NLNG is in the Niger Delta. In fact all what you have in Lagos are cooperate offices the whole oil industry is based in 4 or 5 states of the ND so the talk of insecurity is bladadash!

Infact laying pipes from the oil fields in the Niger Delta to Lagos is a bigger risk cos if you follow the history of oil violence in the Niger Delta, pipelines are always vandalized at the slightest opportunity. I think dangote choose that location cos of proximity to his intended market: Lagos consumes half of Nigeria's fuel demands and he may be looking at exporting refined products to closer West African countries along the Western border via pipelines
