Lolz. As desperate as I am and in dire need of a 190, from the look of things, @ Chuglothen we won't have a choice than to settle for NT or SA's 489. Please calm down and don't stress your self on trying to get a job in Tasmania because of the following factors:
1. The state is the second after SA with the highest rate of unemployment amongst Australian states

2. Since I registered on Australian job websites, I haven't received any alert with the Title Customer Service Manager- Tasmania

3. These employers would rather employ a citizen, a permanent resident holder or someone that is already on ground than wait and go through the stress of employing someone from overseas except that person has got some really.... special skills & abilities.

In conclusion, NT still seems to be the best option despite the POF and asset valuation thingy as it is the state with the lowest unemployment rate in Aussie.

Cheers.
Thanks everyone. So there is no closely related occupation to CSM? Ok ooo...diaris God sha.
@segun, please this POF for NT....is it like average balance or closing balance that they want?
My major concern about 489 apart from the zero benefit is that I heard that you must work in your nominated occupation for 2 years before being eligible for PR. So what if I dont get job in that particular occupation nko? I dont know if i am wrong though. Can more light be thrown on this 489 visa please?

Anyway, arrived Sydney on Sunday 7:45am Sydney time... Passed through immigration in about 30 seconds... They didn't ask for any document.... They didn't even stamp my passport sef... Merely swiped it on one kind machine...
Collected luggage, they put it through an xray machine and declared that I was good to go... Got out of the airport. Was picked up by my surest people (Jamson and McTowel01)..

I've been doing the necessary Medicare, bank account, etc stuff...

Thanks to everyone who helped make this a reality.. Really appreciate.

1.Can more light be thrown on this 489 visa please? whether or not you get job in your chosen field; you have a moral obligation to remain in the sponsor territory for 2yrs before you relocate. However someone here once argued that you can reside in this territory and work outside provided you pay your taxes and bills in your sponsored state but I stand to be corrected.

2.please this POF for NT....is it like average balance or closing balance that they want? About AUD$35,000 ( single applicant) as evidence of your financial capacity to settle in the NT including net assets but try and confirm from NT website.

Hi everyone, I have a couple of questions please.I have been assessed by EA as a professional Engineer(Mechanical Engineering).First, I have a skilled experience of 20 months(1 year and 8 months) in Nigeria and most of the regions that I want require you to have 2 years. However, I do not know if it is just for skilled experience. This is because I have a lot of unskilled experience in the UK.Again, I want to know at what point can one cease to modify application(after EOI or ITA).I intend to get married before the second half of next year.I am scheduled for PTE next month before returning home,so I do not know if I should halt the PR process till two become one.Thank you in advance.

Congratulations on your +ve assessment; however pertaining to your question; Australia PR is a skilled migration program.
1.You can submit more than 1 EOI and withdraw same before ITA is issued and you have 60 days to apply for your visa after ITA, else you go back to the pool list and wait till you are selected again.
1i. You can submit more than 1 visa application for different Subclasses (eg.190 and 189) but immediately you receive a grant for a particular application, ensure you cancel the other which is of lesser value to you. Else event would override your grant.
For instance you got 189 grant ( the ultimate) and still have a 190 application still active on your immiaccount. My advise withdraw the 190 visa app before a decision is made on the 190.
2. You should aim at 20points in English test and depending on your age, you may just have at least 60points which is good enough for EOI without state or regional nomination.
*** Submit you application once you have ITA and funding and you can proceed to marry you spouse before or after application has been lodged. if you didn't specify you were married during your app; just file a change of circumstance form 1022 and include your spouse in your application before a decision is made on your case. Don't forget to upload all necessary documents for your claims(Medicals, PCC et'al).

It is a very dangerous situation, . Usually I recommend sending out CDR to colleagues for proof reading prior to submission. If you did and you still got this, I think you have to refire the entire thing. To the beat of my knowledge, I think the three episodes. You may consider resubmitting 2 new ones alongside one of em rejected ones (refined). This time, prepare your episodes in accordance with the units and elements of competency for a professional engineer (page 33,EA MSA booklet). This is a challenge, one that will surely be overcome, as engineers are problem solvers.

in addition, be sure to be able to back up whatever you are writing.

About when your application will be reassessed, I think it is as soon as possible. If you satisfy the requirements, you can get you outcome the next day of submission.

Let me start this way, since it's not totally interactive. First, did your assessor specify the CE you needed to re-write? If no. Then you might have to repackage them or do two fresh ones.

In my case, I was not given option to be assessed as a technologist. I was requested to re-submit two new CEs, that the other two I submitted earlier did not reflect much on my nominated occupation. However some persons have had cases like yours, they requested to write another CE entirely and were later assessed as professional engineers.

In conclusion, you should contact your assessor first to let him/her know what you want. Which she stated in the opening speech, that you "confirm". If you want to accept the engineering technologist, you can just tell him/her to go ahead. If you don't want to, then explain precisely what you would do to get a professional assessment outcome. My one cent.

It's one's total worth (assets). So it's combination of any valuable property plus a reasonable closing balance.
My major concern about 489 apart from the zero benefit is that I heard that you must work in your nominated occupation for 2 years before being eligible for PR.So what if I dont get job in that particular occupation nko?
