Make sense

The only fact I find distorted is the distance from Dragonstone to the wall being (2500km)....

there's no where in the show where actual distance of places have been stated.... most people confuse westerous of the book (here actual details was given) to that of the show.

Westerous in the book could be as big as Western Europe,

In the show it could be as big as rhode island nobody knows....

Distance from Dragonstone to the Wall 2500km ?
If even this is accurate why does Jon think he'll last so long till Dany arrives ? What, they were expecting to find a small island in the middle of a lake ? All too convenient.

This reminds me of when D& D kill off Shireen, and had to use GrrM to defend themselves. It's just lazy.
Maybe the show writers will say "just as planned" after they see your post.
You are getting it all wrong about shireen. She's yet to die in the books but it will definitely happen. It one of the three shocking things grrm told D &grin about the series
1 Shireen baratheon being burnt alive
2 Why Hodor can only say one word
3 Yet to be revealed

Go and figure out. The episode of the red wedding. When Robbstark pleaded with the frey aughters to forgive him for breaking his vows. Shireen frey is the last girl that was introduced.

I still don't think so. There has only been one Shireen on the show.

Edit - After checking the Frey family tree. The closest to Shireen is Shirei. So there's only one Shireen afterall.

And I'm only trying to point out how unfeasible some of these ideas are...
How many birds do you see flying at night? Yet for this theory to work, the raven would have had to fly nonstop day and night for 32 hours straight without pausing to sleep, eat etc...
If it sounds unbelievable, that's because it probably is...
Ravens are non-migratory birds, only homing pigeons were used to deliver messages and even those worked in one direction only.
So, there was nothing logical about ravens carrying messages to begin with so much that we're now bothered about how long they can fly nonstop.
This is a fantasy show and we should treat it as such.

Only speculation. My point is - D& D handled the whole thing so poorly, when fans asked why, they defended themselves by saying GrrM planned for it to happen. They shifted the blame. They didn't need to do that.

He planned for it to happen - you've said it yourself. They can't wait for the books again they are already past the books so things that are planned to happen in the book might happen in the show in no exact manner

So a raven flew at 80km/h nonstop for almost 2 straight days cheesy.

Or Gendry ran non-stop in heavy snow and inclement weather for 8 straight hours

Danaerys flew in the sky for 28 hours straight without stopping to eat or shït.

It would have been freezing up there but i can give them a pass to say the Dragon fit get heater.

Not a single sentence in that theory makes even a modicum of sense.
It's almost like the show runners expect the audience to not be autists about fucking travel times.

GRRM is on record admitting the size of westeros doesn't make any sense as written. The travel times regularly are off in the novels too.

So after years of procrastination, i finally decided to see what all the rave about this "almighty" GOT was all about. The show was basically all over my face: every fffucking page on the net had something related to GOT.

It seemed like an obsession for everyone on the planet except myself. It made me feel out-of-place, yet very special, like an innocent child yet to partake in the evils of this world. I was definitely going to watch the "almighty" GOT but I wanted the moment to be prefect. I wanted it to be with the right phone, the perfect sitting position, the perfect weather etc. I wanted the Universe to show me a sign, the stars to align and signal that it was the perfect moment that will ever exist in time to start watching. I am the last of my kind afterall, if I am going to lose my virginity, the moment has to be perfect & never forgotten throughout history.

I knew the time had come when every Google search concerning anything kept returning the phrase "is Jon snow dead? ".

"Who the ffuck is Jon Snow? What's my business with Jon Snow? " , I'll ask Google search in frustration every single fffucking time before retyping my initial request for 100th time - "show me pictures of Samsung galaxy note 8".

I started watching GOT about two weeks ago and finished s7episode6 this evening( yea I don't like rushing), and all i have to say is nothing. Nothing is the only word that can do justice to GOT. Game of Thrones is so beautiful that trying to describe her beauty might put a dent on the goddess. I don't even want to talk about what makes her beautiful: if it's her nose, lips, full hips or pointed tips. Her beauty is a mystery and will remain so in my heart.

Side note: Game of Thrones is a fantasy movie, understand this & slowly let it sink in. The moment you start "looking" for flaws, the whole purpose of everything gets defeated. The purpose of cinema itself gets defeated. The purpose of storytelling gets defeated.

Nothing is real, nothing is fake. Reality is a matter of perspective. Your dream becomes your reality when you're in that dream and life becomes an illusion that doesn't exist, UNTIL you wake up.

I enjoy books and movies because when I am reading or watching, I don't even remember I exist. The fact that we get attached and emotional to what happens to characters in stories is a clue that to the mind, nothing is real and nothing is fake. It's just a matter of perspective.

No one wants to hear a realistic story. Absolutely fffucking no one. But everybody loves a great story

My one nitpick about NL is how people are fond of calling series "movies"...they are not movies guys.

It's tough following some threads bc of the weird shorthand pidgin and slang so I'm mostly on Reddit and other spoiler blogs... But nice to check in here once in a while.

Unfortunately (or not) I've read all the spoiler info for episode 7 and even some episodes of season 8...so watching GOT is just anticlimactic now... Since practically every scene has been exposed thanks to the leaked scripts..

But hey spoilers never really bother me so I'm cool knowing everything that happens before they do... Feels like I'm cosplaying Bran that way cool

The characters are still children in the show. People will get mad if they are made to go nude. Also, since their roles cannot be recast, the actresses have the power to reject any demand for nudity.

How do you tell a friend that decided to watch GOT because of its hype but slept off in season 1 that the series is not boring rather its interesting?

Try and explain that to her... Different information are been thrown at her,she might not understand a lot of it but with time, she will

Another way to help her is to give her a brief storyline about the movie or tell her to read it on Wikipedia..

Bottom line is for her to be patient with the storyline
