Well, am aware of the fact that many pastors are exploiting there members but that is not enough reason to classify the genuine ones to in that category...As you said Poverty is not a sign of a person forsaken by God (You are very correct )at the same time being Rich is not a sign that you have forsaken God...
Remember it was this same God who made Abraham, Isaac,,Jacob, Jabez and Solomon very rich,.
The Bible also made it clear that (Jesus became poor so that we can be rich) it didn't say spiritual riches it said RICH

you spoke my mind Bro. come to think of it, all men of God in Nigeria has got a share in one railing accusation or more, from infidelity, to love of money and political flaws.
But in in all their churches grow like wide fire. go there on Sunday, you wont even know if any thing was said, e.g Christ embassy, Winners.......etc

LESSON: Understand that at the finality there is neither male nor female, every one will give account to God all by himself. so when you hear stuff, your attitude as a believer is to pray in love for God to turn things around for his glory, instead of been negative because its not you local assembly or to score chip point. Secondly, you are to pick the word of God , follow precept by precept , understand it for your self, walk in love and faith knowing that we will all give account of our works on earth to God while pastors will do same. so no time to find fault or talk negatively. remember Jesus attitude to those that brought the woman caught in adultery, it was that of you all have one sin or the other that you struggle with, if you are without sin, cast the first stone. so knowing that Christianity is a personal race is the beginning of wisdom.

It depends on what you mean by good religion. Giving charity and praying 5 times daily is good. Hating someone with dissenting views is bad, inciting violence against that person is worse and committing violence and killing of that individual is the worst.

What you fail to understand is that criticizing people like oyedepo is not a competition so there is nothing like winners or loosers there.
What is bad is bad ,and what is good is good.
If people have discovered that tithing and distortion of church members is bad and they criticize, then there is no amount of ignorant following of the pastor who is doing the distortion by the same church members who are distorted, will make the distortion a good thing .
If God is keeping quiet does not mean that he is a fool. He want us to identity the problem and solve it ourselves.
The good news is that more people are becoming aware of the activities of these pastors.
People will not change the way they see these pastors suddenly, it will take a gradual process.
Perhaps 100 years or 200 years from now.
The generation of our unborn children will not be interested in religion any longer such that, they will never adore these pastors and their churches the way our current religious minded church going generation is doing now.

Let's move this away from the church to the world, Dangote, mark of facebook, and Bill Gates. are known for being humble despite the heavy wealth they have, meanwhile we have the likes of huspuppi and the rest which everyone here knows them for showing off, which in order words can be related to pride. Me personally when I was in Nigeria, I once saw dangote (Africa richest man) walking alone wearing just shorts, with no bodyguards or whatsoever. Can u do called man of God do this? instead he anoints u with oil as God's protection and he heavily guards himself with bodyguards. I have also seen pastor kumuyi driven in just one car with no bodyguards to a crusade. Meanwhile just going to the airport pst oyedepo would have nothing less than 5convoys or more escorting him to the airport. Now use ur head to differentiate them from each other.
