4 Reasons Why I'm Scared Of Visiting Lagos by Nobody: 8:24am On Aug 23, 2017*

people say there's a lot of money to be made in Lagos. i heard one of my graduate-friend makes up to 15,000 naira daily driving keke in lekki. Below are some of my fears:

1) comfort: it's a known fact that getting proper accommodation in Lagos is expensive. That means i've have to squat with someone till I can afford a good place. what if the person I stay with treats me like a dog (the way gotze1 treat desperate girls). My guy even sleeps in his keke at times. Not me oo. When we have a comfortable bed here in Warri.

2. Stress: so i heard people wake up by 4 or 5am to get ready for work. Then you get stuck in traffic till late in the night on your way home. That's too much to swallow. Only 'yoruba demons' can handle that. Over here, though pay is small, you get to freely reach your destination, even when you move by 7:30. Closing time also understandable.

While your assertion is true to a large extent, it's mostly fear of the unknown that stops most ppl from leaving Lagos for good.

Most of us Lagosians have a love-hate relationship with Lagos.

I've lived here for a better part of my life and I'll be so glad to be transferred out to the south.

Opportunities abound everywhere, it's up to us to be keenly aware to grab them with both hands.

4. Uncertainty: just as i hear of opportunities in Lagos, I also hear of discouraging things. the people from the east are known for piracy, kidnapping and blood money, I hear of ikorodu boys, flooding, 'skull mining', building collapse, area boys etc in the west. but back here, i am relaxed coz i was born and bred here. what if as i enter mile 2, some body do me 'touch and follow.'

Lagos city. I like lag sha. The fun here is like 200%. although Owerri is now dragging with lag but they don't have all the beaches and islands like we do in Lagos.
