Just ask the employer about your visa, or when they want to start the process. A good firm would get u ur visa in less than 10 days.

In addition to what Oga Nattybanta has said, the person should make sure to sign contract and offer letter and be sure to have a copy of those. Don't feel intimidated or shy to do so. If you have that at hand and they failed to process your visa at the end of your stay, you can go to labour if you ever manage to extend your visa or go for visa change. I have seen someone who won such case.

The way my colleagues request for this currency of a thing eh, some already have above 30 different currencies. One still asked me of it this evening this time around I brought enough naija currency to work.

These period, some dubious companies make u sign incomplete contracts, That would implicate the employee at the end if things goes south.

Greetings everyone, it will be unfair for me not to comment, I got to UAE some months ago, it was difficult at first, I lost hope on job, but like magic I got a good job... employment visa and all has been done. My conclusion about UAE is that only God decides who gets successfully in terms of job search, and dont come to UAE with a particular kind of job in mind,because it will demoralize you. prepare for the worst and the best, and once ur tourist visa is about to expire leave UAE back home or do visa change! never u become a TECO! .... Thanks to all the guy here in UAE taking time to respond to peoples questions on nairaland, u guys are great! I cant even take such time to respond after work because I get very tired... Bye Guys...
