I disagree on the area of landmass. land mass shouldn't be a criteria. that's cheating
so u believe in the figures of population census carried out. if yorubas believe it, why did tinubu conduct his own census in lagos and arrived at 17 million after 9million was allocated it. going by reasoning and no cheating. lagos should be higher in population because. lagos doesn't have religious crisis as like kano. many people have moved out of kano because of this crisis, yet they still have higher population than lagos that is peaceful, its laughable. jigawa state was carved out of kano and as usual a population of 5million was allocated to jigawa. yet kano state still has higher population than lagos, its laughable. my guy reason this out. its impossible. lagos has most industries and population as can be seen by its IGR. lagos has more attraction than kano. world over on a general note, coastal areas have more human attraction than landlocked, desert regions. I wonder what industries are supporting the large population in kano that made it more attractive than lagos

ok, going by their population estimate, lagos is 9million with 20 LGAs. Kano is 9.4million and has 44 LGAs, how justifiable is that. also from ur analysis landmass is considered a stronger factor than population, if not why should jigawa have 27 LGAs with 5million population and lagos with 9million population has only 20LGAs. so if Algeria that has the highest land mass want to share local government area they should have up to 5000 LGAs without the corresponding population. they can as well allocate a very large landmass with maybe only ten families as 2 LGAs and in another place with large population and small land mass with less LGAs. this is what was done to lagos
