tbaba1234:Did we approach him to ascertain his stance? Tiago Ilori already played there and is currently playing in the Championship which is equally or better than some leagues. |

eterisan:I don't think anyone here is disrespecting elderson we are just pointing out his performances have been especially poor of late. You will agree that a national team that hopes to do well we can't continue to rely on one LB especially one who is not in form. Yes there aren't many natural left backs of Nigerian descent in top leagues but Aina can play makeshift and you can't tell me in the whole nigeria league you can't find a decent backup. Yes his injury at the world cup was a loss but not a disaster like you are claiming we did ok without him with Juwon oshaniwa performing well elderson is ok but not indispensable |

tbaba1234 thank you for the nice post on Gernot Rohr. From the interview, I can see we have a very sound technical Adviser and team manager. Looks the right man to lead the team. His founding principles are solid and I think we the supporters need to buy into his philosophies. (I am also guilty of this) He wants everyone to trust the decision of the team manager. I think that includes the fans and supporters. A good point is that his scouting department are doing their best to monitor most of our players, especially during the weekends. He also wants the team flexible playing different styles and formations. Including the parked bus system I detest so much. He believes in a balance of youth and experience. So we should not expect him throwing any bright new shining object into the team. He will blend in players with time. Not rash and he will maintain a solid balance to the best of his ability. He wants the team United along with the NFF. He believes in the team but wants us respecting every opponent. In football, anything can happen. He still considers Enyeama a key member of the team but he might not rush Enyeama into the team. Also, Enyeama might not wear the captain band. Nice interview that got us a chance to know the coach better. |

Humility017:Already stated that Aina and Tyrone are our options there... The question is are they good enough to displace him yet... Those kids are rookies on the international stage... When push comes to shove experience will carry ụwa through... All I am asking for is we give him the respect he deserves.... Cc Sir icon4s |

Well based on current laws, the UK government do not grant citizenship to foreigners born in the UK. So his entire logic is flawed. forgiveness: |

chrisooblog:I beg to disagree.. His injury was a disaster... Where is Oshaniwa... Now.... At the moment ụwa is indispensable... The sooner we realise this the better for all of us... His got experience at this level and on the big stage in top leagues at his side....... I repeat... He is our best bet at left back for now... Cept superman turns up in green n white for the spot.... The two games against Cameroon barring any injury or dreadful loss of form shows our team for the world cup... Quote me anywhere... |

In reference to "make shift options", Rohr said in his interview that players cannot give conditions like they must be played in a specific position. Shehu is not a natural RB Does that not tell you something? eterisan: |

libero808:. With the fore knowledge that shehu has been playing RB for us for like forever... I will comfortably tag him a right back... Well the interview only reiterates the fact that Aina and Tyrone are the options for LB n RB in the team.... My point is this bashing of ụwa should stop just because we have got a shiny new toy.... The SA game is still fresh in memory... Awaziem .. Anybody...... Hello... Let's hypothetically say ụwa picks an injury that keeps him out for a year.... What will be your gut instinct... Guess it will be Ọ.. GOD.... not again... We lack real options at left back... We are banking on make shifts (kids) and we slate the only real option we have.... *sighs*... Naija... For warri we say at all at all na winch.. Mek we manage am abeg... |

FFS! Chelsea need to get Ola Aina out of that shitty Hull City team ASAP.Thank God Ahmed Musa and Isaac Success did not move there. Aina dished out pinpoint perfect crosses but their shitty forwards still could not convert any of it.Worst of all,Aina darted into the penalty area making a meal of 2 derby players and won a penalty in the process when his team were still 1 goal behind but the player who took the penalty blasted it over the bar.Chelsea have a recall clause in his loan agreement so they should recall him ASAP before negative vibes start affecting him. |

forgiveness:This is an unbelievably poor piece of writing - too superficial and even it's appeal to emotional factors aims more at manipulation and shameless scare tactics rather than advancing sound reasons for Tammy to play for England rather than Nigeria. I am a fan of the SE and the Three Lions but I love my Eagles and desire we field the peak of the best we have when we qualify for the World Cup. But I wish the young man the best whoever he eventually chooses. |

safarigirl:I don't know where you get the notion of HATE. Disagreements yes but they are welcome as they are not hidden in rhetoric. But show you are passionate, plain spoken, straightforward and yes very impulsive. Which is a reflection of your youthful exuberance and possible limited interactions but not in a bad way. It's actually amusing reminds me how I use to be. |

adegwurulez:Playing time is essential in a player's development but not when the club you are getting the play time is shitty and are always conceeding 5 goals in every matches. You know,it doesn't help his confidence.Agree with you though, he wont get the playing time at chelsea but he can still be loaned to a better team in January.Honestly,i just feel for the lad. |

forgiveness:Lol... I don't do stats, they are most times misleading, but you came under the false assumptions that Tiago Ilori is a better choice for CB than Awaziem and Agbo, citing his "experience'. A deep look at this claim proves it to be false. One simply does not garner experience sitting on the bench which is what Ilori has been doing. 9games for Granada, 12 for Bordeaux, 0 for Aston Villa can hardly be termed playing from Portugal to Spain to France. |

eterisan:As you probably know the left back position has progressed to the more commonly referred to term LWB (left wing back). As a consequence left wingers have fused into the LWB position. As it is essentially a more defensive minded winger. With this in mind I would say Seyi Ojo Liverpool fc currently at Fulham fc with Sone Aluko. |
