Hi Good day everyone.
I'm a first time applicant to the UK even though I've been to other countries.
I applied for a visa on the 17th of July for a program I was to attend on the 8th of September(almost 2 months). The Eco called my sponsor on the 5th but I'm yet to get a decision as at date.
My question is sd I retrieve my passport for other things or I sd still chill as I heard that I cd still get the visa even though the event date has passed.

Somebody... anybody... justwise ekpotek

Dear great people on this forum,
I want to apply for tier 2 visa shortage occupation with my wife as my dependent. We have a 2 year old son, but we do not want to take him along for now. We made the decision because we want to be well settled before we take him there. He will stay with my mum here in Nigeria for now.
My questions are:
1. Won't it be a problem that we decided we don't want to take our child with us for now? Won't it raise any eyebrows?
2. Do I need to fill a separate form for my wife, or I'll just mention her in my own form?
I'll await your clarifications on these questions. I'm grateful

Since you have waited this long why not see it through? Only if you need your passport for something important then you can withdraw it

. He is not applying for settlement visa, so that's the wrong place to post I made the same mistake and I was refused because I applied under wrong type of visa. He should look for details in regards to TIER 2 visa and Tier 2 dependant visa . You can't apply for a settlement visa cos you are not settled in the uk. Settled pple are those that have British passport, refugees and have indefinite leave to remain. Don't make the same mistake I made .

What are you talking about though What has tier 2 got to do with the person's situation? The applicant says he is to be married to a British citizen after which he would like to relocate to join her. Settlement visa is for those who are outside UK and have the rights to join their spouses (legally resident in the UK).

You are the one who didn't read the post or the post was ghost mode in your eyes. grin

The original question was posted by Shilex, talking about a British woman coming over to Nigeria to marry him. Best thing is go to page 327...

I greet guru's in the house plenty plenty o! I have finally gone for UK biometrics but am surprised they didn't request for my passport photograph. Does it mean they don't collect passport photos again?

They do not require a passport photo which you took outside their facility. The only one required should you be granted the visa is the one you took as part of your biometrics.
