6 months bank statement, usually current account. Obviously if there are savings, investment accounts in addition, these should be included.

Hello everyone,
This is going to be a long post but I hope someone would learn from it like I have from other posters.
Flew AirFrance, LOS-CDG flight was ok though plane was like 100yrs old undecided
AirFrance 10hrs layover in Paris gave me time to you money and bank statements, documents to prove I have a birth plan with a doctor which you barely looked at. I definitely showed I have more than enough money to pay my bills and I have no records of breaking the law in any of my past trips

Someone once told me... The moment you get of the bus in new York, expect to get robbed...that person obviously hasn't been to Lagos.
Sharp Lagos babe. Congrats on this kain tough POE experience.

How long after childbirth did you travel with your babies cos i noticed you shifted your travel date forward.

i left USA at exactly 4 weeks after delivery. I asked their peadiatrician and he said minimum of 2 weeks for local flight and 4 weeks for international flights

DW & I: fine and you

VO: What brings you to the consulate/ why do you want to do in the US

ME: for child birth & vacation

VO: What is your budget for the travel

ME: bleep dollars

VO: That is an expensive child birth

DW & I : Smiles, yes it is

Vo: How do you intend to pay for this

ME: i have been working for bleep years with bleep company as bleep. i have been able to save up over the years

VO: So based on the job i do, he asked what is the recent incident you have had to resolve

DH&I: i sha gave one answer like that of the what came to mind

DW: i work with so so and so

VO: what is the recent project you have had to handle

DW & I: Together to the UAE, and listed others i have been to

VO: We are good, when your child becomes a citizen, collect the birth certificate and visit a site (don't remember cos i was looking at the white paper in his hand) to renew passport. Take care of your wife and baby.

VO: pick up ur visa in 3 business days at the address on the paper

DW & I: Thank youu (smiling and laughing inside)

Good Morning everyone, In the Spirit of giving back, Got to the MMA @7pm for a 10.45pm Delta Airline flight. I weighed my luggage and i was told to remove stuffs out cos i had excess over the 23kg.... had to wait for DH to come pick them up. I was amazed when DH said each luggage should be 32kg for business class.... anyway i was apologised to and allowed to carry everything.... heading to the plane for the flight, one of the attendants came to me and said you have been selected along with a few people for extensive search.... i said no problem and they started searching my shoes, testing my bag and even surface of my laptop, asked me to put on my laptop.....when they were done they apologised again...I stepped into the plane and we had a long 12hrs straight....

Getting to Atlanta... chose not to use the wheelchair, i walked a bit then to filled my info on the computer then to the CBP officer

Me: Good Morning
CBP: Silent(no words back)
CBP: Passport Pls
Me: gave him my passport
CBP: Why are you here?
Me: To have my babies
CBP: Do you have family here
Me: Yes i do, but im not going to them
CBP: where are you going?
Me: To my family friend in Houston
CBP: when was the last time you were here
Me: 2015
CBP: How long are you here for
Me: 3Months
CBP: How much do you have?
Me: 9500
CBP: are you sure that's all you have
Me: Yes
CBP: are you sure not more
Me: Yes, Exactly 9500
CBP: Stamped in for 6montnhs and gave me my passport back and was just shaking his head like something was wrong.......
Me: I took my passport and waka sharp sharp..

Heading straight for my luggage and connecting my flight.... while i was confused.... a police officer came to me and said, mam, you have a minute?

Po: Is this your first time in the US?
Me: No, its not
Po: why are you here?
Me: Came to have my babies
Po: Babies
Me: Yes, Babies
Po: are you having twins
Me: Yes i am
Po: oh, Congratulations

2nd Police officer was walking by and he probably heard and he said Congratulations Mam.

Po: Do you have a correspondence with a dr and hospital?
Me: Yes i do
Po: Can i see it please
Me: Yes Sure, so I first showed him doctor's receipt from my phone first, then brought out my printed correspondence
Po: How far long are you
Me: I'm 30 weeks today
Po: It shows you are 11weeks here
Me: Please look at the date, its probably in May
Po: oh-oh, Sorry date says may
Po: I can see you made doctor's payment with zero balance... everything looks good
Me: Thank you sir

got my stuffs back and picked up my luggage and went straight to go connect my flight....

I'm all settled in and already went for my first dr appointment with Dr Fagbohun.....

please you will need to show them that you've got money in those accounts as they can't prove it by seeing just your card. you neèd recent statements of accounts of you ain't coming with cash. I remember someone either on this forum or elsewhere who was turned back because she had a card and no statements to show how much was in the account.

@Nita3, have you gotten a response from the Nigerian immigration?

My dear, didn't hear from them before my travel date but i had to put my "faith" to work. Regardless of not getting the approval letter, i went ahead with my trip back to Naija.
On getting to Abuja, i checked my mail, and behold the approval letter.

But how did they allow you pass, I mean Yankee immigration. Meanwhile I kept calling their customer care number, and they were updating me. They sent to everyone on Thursday, we received ours too. Saved about 220 bucks on visa. VOA is more convenient and simplified abeg.

Did you tell the Visa Officer that you were pregnant and plan on having your babies in the U.S.?

You do know that every statement you tell the VO during the interview will appear on your passport and once the CBP officers scans your passport at the POE every statement you have told the VO officers appears on the CBP officers screen at the POE.
