@Gbola007, You can either nominate Electrical Engineering draftsman or technician assessed by Engineering Australia and TRA respectively. Read the first few pages for the process. @Jbelieve, You can enter the country on or before the IED. You can't enter after the date. @Doyen06, I sent you a PM. 1 Like |

My good people, let me first appreciate you all for the contributions which have guided many in achieving their dreams. Also to appreciate those that have contributed personally towards this my dream of achieving this australia migration. So here's the situation I'm in: I'm a 30yr old graduate of computer science from Lead City University ibadan since 2011. Normally computer science in my school is a 4 year programme but i joined in 200 level as a direct entry student. According to what I have read and heard, it's not equivalent to Australia's Bachelors. In other words, I've settled for 10 points here. I do have have 5 years of working experience in business intelligence which falls under ICT business analyst 261111. But i really don't want to take the chance to assess under this as I'm afraid reasonable number of years might be a deducted and that's a complete waste of money. I do have 10 points from english exam (I plan to re-write for better score to improve my point). Having explained the situation above, I'm considering of being assessed as a web designer under vetassess then apply to states nominating this occupation. The question now is, will vetassess also deduct from my point? I really do hope to make 10 points from this or at least 5 then hopefully make 5 from state nomination. My calculated point in brief: Age : 30 points* Bachelors degree (with the situation explained above ) : 10* English: 10* Work experience: hopefully 10 or worst scenario 5 State nomination for class 190: 5 Please guys what can I do? Thanks in advance. |

zuriel234: You are to pay the fees excluding GST(Good and Services Tax) since you will be paying from Naija. The assessment to go for depends on you. Do you want EA to assess your experience or not, or are you assessing PhD? If you are assessing your first degree without assessing your experience, you will pay for standard competency demonstration report. Others should be self explanatory now. Even if EA assesses your experience, DIBP will still verify, so you could save yourself some bucks without assessing your experience with EA. It is also advisable you pay for the fast-track service. Hi Bellong. Hi Guys, At what point am I considered Australian Resident for Tax Purpose? When I get my PR or when I have landed and validated it? I have got my PR offshore, opened a Westpac bank account online and about to start making transfer into the account from my local account. My question is, will the fund be taxed? Will I have to declare income made overseas while filing my annual tax returns when I eventually land and start to work in Australia ? 1 Like |
