Hi everyone,

I applied for a visitor's visa back in June (online), after which I secured a USA visitor's visa. My question now is, is it necessary to inform the Canadian embassy via email of the latest development?

I will appreciate your candid advice. Thank you.

All I attached was same as overlord77 application mentioned on this thread, whom I read his profile and followed same as well as other infor on the thread.I also read the student thread as well to understand the application requirements.

Congratulations again. But do you have Canadian TRV valid till November 2017 before you applied for this? Perhaps thats why it was fast tracked.

Canada visa is just by Grace. I got mine last yrs without any travel history.

...and this caught my attention, just came to glance through testimonies coz I have never bothered myself trying USA or Canadian visas... Kept hearing how people with good travel history have been disappointed let alone people in my category... I have never travelled abroad though I was applied for a Turkish visa 5 years ago and was denied since then I respected myself & managed myself

Presently I have a registered company with an inactive company's account but have a personal savings accounts with a good/busy cash in flow and a balance of about 4million plus
Am I good to go, for any type of Canadian visa because
Am willing to visit and return back... just to break the jinx lol
Any idea or guideline on how to go about this will be highly appreciated (elijah.okenwa@gmail.com)... please I do not want to be insulted, was encouraged when i read the quote

Goodluck to all of us

Need help on my parent visit visa application. I submitted the app Aug 23 and they send a request letter yesterday that I need to send medical insurance to them within 30days for them to proceed with the application.
I was surprise as I think medical insurance is only for super visa and not visit visa.
Please is there anyone in the house that can help me out on how to get medical insurance they ask for?

If they are spending three months or more then medical insurance is needed, not negotiable. Try Aiico insurance (70% sure) but a lot more insurance companies around na. They just dont want them to be a liability to there government if any health related issue arises. In this case, the insurer will be responsible for the cost.

Hi, good travel history there. But you have to understand what the Canadian VO is looking for in a category-V visa. Ties for which you will return to which would seem strong as you have visited the US and U.K. and returned. However, these visas are still valid so why are you not going back there for your holiday; the VO May wander. A concrete reason why you have chosen to visit the country is essential. Make the VO understand that this is a temporary visit.
For funding, your salary is more than enough and people with way less salaries get their visas. The task here is that whatever irregular money in any account has to be explained and with evidence.
My personal suggestion however will be to not ply this route and wait for the admission and apply for a study permit instead. Its easier once your funding is intact. Also, Canada will cancel the category V visa when the study permit is approved and issue a category-S Visa so what’s the point. Its not like the US where people have both F1 and B1B2 affixed to the same travel document. Focus on the school, it’s an easier route. And please, keep your funding to your nuclear family. Best of luck

Good morning everyone here. I sincerely need ur advice on my case pls. I applied for tourist visa and was denied after 3months. Application was online and I applied with my husband and baby who we birth in US sometimes ago. We have a valid US visa and dts d only travel history we've got. Denial reason reads ' I'm not convinced you wil return home based on the 'Purpose of visit' and this conclusion was reached because 'you dnt have sociology economic ties'

I am considering applying alone ds time via paper route after whc my husband will do. However, i dont know what else to add to the documents I'll be submitting after ds ones we also submitted that time.

Account statements
Employment letters
Payslip
Cars documents
Visa pages
Landed properties
Hotel reservation (2weeks)
We wrote letters of introductions and stated where we are traveling to and even mentioned some tourist sites to see.
Pls what do you think is the problem? and how do i convince the VO now?

Marriage cert, birth certificates of your family, career progression at work, office ID card, statement of purpose why Canada and not usa or any other country for vacation, like jawa said prepare you application to proof that it is for a visitor's purpose. In my opinion, assess the cost of 2weeks stay and see if your available funds can accommodate it with reasonable funds remaining after you return. Evaluate the application yourself and explain any thing unclear in well constructed and clear statement not over justifying.
These are my submissions.

Hi, the refusal letter already says a lot. The VO wants to know why you are visiting Canada. Apparently, s/he wasn’t convinced. Once again, if a whole family is embarking on a holiday, it concerns a VO why this trip must be to canada and not somewhere else so the onus is then greater on the applicats to convince a VO.
First, your child is a US citizen and doesn’t need a visa to go to canada. The VO knows this and the burden on you then becomes greater. If you travel with your husband and child, what is there to come back to really. If the visa is issued, things can be sold. Understand that a lot of people apply for PR via express entry from Nigeria and the VOs see the trends. They see people with so many belongings here migrating so it would be wise that in your next application, after reviewing and addressing GCMS concerns, to mention the immigration schemes and point out that you are not interested in them and use your landed properties and maybe second family to attach yourself more. Honestly, your documents look ok but I’m not a VO and these Canadian VOs are trained to see through an application without sighting an applicant.
Secondly, I’m not sure the applying alone route is advisable but I guess you can try. You already filled a family IMM form and your husband and child are contained there. The VOs have documentation already of your family so if you apply alone, even if it’s issued by the time your husband applies, it may then be refused because the VO will clearly see what you’re trying to do. Anyway, follow your heart but first obtain and review your gcms notes. Best of luck
