Great speech that addressed the current situation in the country.

If they criticize, ask them to tell you what they expect from him, why they expected such and why they feel what they expect from him is better than what he just said. Just watch them as they start stammering.

Please wake us up from sleep when it comes down to N200

Propaganda speech is betrayed by reality on ground. What's the difference between this speech and Abacha speeches of those military days?

He failed to show an understanding of why there are agitations resulting from the many injustice, bias and mismanagement in the system yet he is saying he will not allow nigeria to be dismembered. Is nigeria his personal property? The man is stuck in his military mentality.

No mention of working with all ethnic, religious and political interest to ensure peace. All he's threatening us military force.

If an agitation of 1967 is still alive today after those who started it are dead, doesn't that tell you that the conditions that led to the agitation is very much thesame if not worse? Rather than address those challenges you are trying to suppress people's voices.

There can never be peaceful coexistence without justice, equity and transparency.

Reading through people comments here it is obvious nigerians are fed up with buhari and his apc government. It would have been far more better for buhari if he hadnt contested at all for the 2015 elections. buhari should actually cover his face in total shame and humbly retire to daura after this term if he is wise which definitely he isnt

No same person approved of kanus methods.

But that aside, understand that you cannot hide under hate speech to silence the people's voice.

One question for you...

Supposing the Niger delta come out today to ask for peaceful referendum without hate speech or name calling whatsoever, do you think Nigerian will listen judging from Buhari's speech today?

Even without any hate speech do you think Nigeria is disposed to allow any referendum as it is today? Please be honest in your answer

What are we assessing?

Everything about this government is F9.

Did Fashola even give us power to watch his speech?

1.The generation and distribution of power has been privatized since 2014

2.And the reason why they were privatized? GEJ got a report which stated that the amount needed to get things working again was about $300billion.

3.The power bills we pay are so low , that they cannot even provide funding for power. In the UK, power bills for a ONE BEDROOM FLAT on prepaid meters is N15000 monthly. In NIgeria...it is less than N3000 Monthly,(metered) N6500 (estimated). And most NIgerians don't pay anyway. And that was the same issue we faced during the NEPA days, when govt ran the whole show. How can you give power when you don't have the money to fix anything.?

4.Yes, this govt has not done well economy wise....but then again Nigeria's economy from time immemorial has been badly managed. A strong economy is not an economy that relies on income from selling one or many resources. A strong economy is an economy with the potential to make the country self reliant via manufacturing. But the thing is, most of us government critics dont want that kind of economy. We want an economy where govt shares money so that we can buy our imported stuff, and live large. If oil goes up above $100 tomorrow...you critics will be praising Buhari

The way forward for Nigeria is an end to our reliance on oil, palm oil, cocoa, groundnut, nickel, tin, cotton, etc.....and taking the hard road to self reliance. Stop waiting for oil to rise again. That era is over..

And the sooner the govt and people of this country realize that, the better.

Infact...President Buhari has shown in all round that he hates the Igbos....is visible....

Inasmuch as I agree that the SE should get a better deal from the center....how about the number of times self appointed leaders like Nnamdi Kalu and company referred to Nigeria as a 'zoo', called other tribes unprintable names, and engaged in such crass bigotry.

And what were IPOB supporters doing a few weeks ago....busy looking for people from a certain tribe to attack...and some were justifying it on the grounds that it was 'payback' for 1966.?

And how about the deliberate attempts by IPOB to provoke Northerners to violence (yes....it happened).

I am not opposed to agitations for secession.....and I think that more needs to be done about the Fulani herdsmen crisis, and we also need to find ways of hammering Boko harder. But behaving like the worst bokoists is not the way to achieve your goals.

The Deputy Senate President gave you a wise route to achieve your goals....and I suggest you study it.

And if you think my comment implies that I hate your tribe, think again. I am not perfect, but I try, as a Nigerian, and an African to have no hatred or bitterness towards anyone on the basis of tribe or religion. The world is too big for that.
