I also bear Tokunbo.

what it means in Yoruba is , came over the seas.
so be it human or object,as long as it came thru the waters, either sailing or flight, its addressed as a special commodity. coz it came from a foreign land.
I'm proud to be named Tokunbo

Hey bigass female
Originally new cars were not imported whole into the country. There were assembly plants all over the country for major cars then (peugeot, volks, Benz etc) when people buy cars from these plants thr is a feeling that it was made in nigeria.
Later people started importing fairly used cars into the country and they were nicknamed tokunbo (literally meaning brought from oversea) and the name stuck to the fairly used cars despite all other cars coming whole from oversea. And the new was nicknamed tear ruber (because) it still has the upholstery wrapped in nylon
