Actually he was working with PHCN before the privatilization by GEJ.

So you are indirectly saying GEJ rendered him jobless?

and what makes you different from him? If hearing only one side of a story is enough for you to tag someone a fool, then you are a bigger fool yourself.

You are not him, you don't know what choices he has, you can't see what he is seeing. Even if you think he is taking the wrong decision, is it enough to call him a fool?

A brother of mine got a very good chance yesterday, but rejected the job offer, due to his higher qualitification.

This guy should be close to his late 40's. He was offered a FRSC job yesterday, but the job qualification was meant for an SSCE

or ND holder. And his a graduate of a university, so he rejected the offer. Saying, uniform jobs are not always easy to

man-over after accepting with a lower qualification, then later try to put in his degree, and his considering his age too.

My good people, pls wat's ur own advice on dis Knowing how difficult it is to get a good job in our coutry.

we already know why he's jobless at 40 -

Thank you jare. A lot of them just settle for anything that comes their way in the name of fate and destiny. God is not a wicked God. Who says he can't get something better.
I remembered back in 2011, I was desperately searching for job and then, I got an offer in FCMB. The salary could barely keep my body and soul together. I ditched the job and continued my search. It didn't take too long before God intervened.

He can still accept that. After 1-2 year's.
Then he can apply for conversion using his degree certificate.

My own case is I earn 120 with a community pharmacy in apapa. I stl do other runs, I do Kedi and rainsoul marketing,no bad sha cos I stl make like 30k @least. And the tips I get from work. For instance I got 2k yesterday. But last month I went for an interview in a pharmaceutical company marketing pharmaceuticals. They picked me immediately but to my surprise after some days I got an offer letter of 80k gross monthly salary which means all taxes with be borne by me. I was depressed cos I already resigned where I work despite the fact that my boss increased my salary to 150k and also will use my license to open another pharmacy which could be btw 500-700k Per annum.. The 80k company is calling me to come and resume while my boss doesn't want me to go. And I have till ending to decide. I just feel I need a marketing career to move around

A fool at 40 is a fool forever. Your brother just confirmed this saying.

How dare you call someone who is probably old enough to birth you a fool? Is it by force to accept a job that he's not comfortable doing? Even if his decision is not the best regarding the circumstances, you're in no position to insult him because of that. Do you think it's everybody that that can work under the sun flagging down vehicles and getting insulted by vehicle owners?

There is a yoruba adage which says.

Put your yam on fire while searching for a knife (Eyan ma'n fi isu si ina wa òbę)

Which means you should have something doing while searching for a better offer instead of staying idle.
As vast as I think I am in Yoruba sayings, you just added to my knowledge. grin Eeyan ma n fi isu sina wa obe ni grin nice one, it's similar to "Ori igi to wo la n wa ta n ri eyi to sin (you get to locate a straight stem from a crooked one)"

Some people are just hasty in blaming others without hearing the other side of the story. The guy was doing well with phcn before it was sold off and he was well paid off. Me, I cannot because of hunger today and accept what is not for me.

Do you think everybody that comes online are babies like you? I'm an adult with huge responsibilities and I don't joke with any job for as long as it pays my bills no matter how small. If the dude in question has a wife and kids with huge responsibilities and bills to pay he won't be selecting jobs unnecessarily.

I'm very sure he stays with his mum and gets fed. Take away his shelter and food, his yanga go reduce and if e see any job, na correct job e go call am so long as kudi go show.
