@Justwise,
Thank you so much for the feedback.
How can one pay back Medicaid? As I have tried severally to no avail. Attempt to get information via email has proved abortive.

Well, that's good. You have nothing to lose. But make sure you apply to more schools just in case. If MTU pulls through with admission and funding then you are going to have a good time. I hope you applied to the PhD because you have got a better chance with that.

thanks bro 4 ur prompt response......its for my masters (postgraduate) i studied mass communication with cgpa 3.63 graduated 2014 n nysc 2015/2016.i learnt that there are courses that are very lucrative after postgraduate studies in d us i dnt no if my field falls into dat category was looking at social media or marketing communication though, please if it wont lead to better opportunities after studies advice me on which route 2 follow once again thank u.
What do you mean by lucrative after post graduate studies? Do you mean courses that easily get jobs or courses that companies are willing to sponsor the visas of their graduates? If it's the latter, in my own small experience, you stand the best chance with the medical and health field and probably engineering (computer, Electrical, industrial and maybe Chemical mostly). But of course, everyone's situation is different but that social media something, I'm not sure about it. This is my opinion and what I have observed. But it may help to sample that of others.

Also, don't patronize agents. You should write GRE. IELTS was cheaper when I wrote mine last year and I think it's easier than TOEFL. Again, this is my opinion. I wish you all the best.

It's not cheap but full attention and good preparations, you can ace your classes easily. DHS that stated no job for internationals while studying knows the reasons for saying so.

Very true, bro.

Only if you know that the chance of getting student visa as a grad student is higher than as an undergrad, you won't take the nursing suggestion. Not even after you already got BS.

if you are going for medical courses abroad...then you have no cause to fear...undergraduate or post -graduate degree (health) have a greater chance of securing a visa. that's why she said you should apply for nursing and even a better opportunity for job

If I were you I wouldn't bother writing at this point. What the VO needs to know is that you're a genuine student. Some people wrote those tests and didn't get their visas approved for one reason or the other.
Just be confident and state why it was waived for you by the school.

Two of my friends did MS(IT) in a private college that didn't require any of these tests. They got their visas without any hitch 4 or 5years ago and both have been sponsored for H1b after their OPT.

I hope this helps you...

Use Google to search for any school that offers what you want to study, as an engineer, you gonna need to write GRE or Gmats , also toefl, get your transcripts, your letter of recommendation, statement of purpose, statement of account, international passport, and also save up for visa fee, sevis fee, application fee, courier service fee, internet subscription ..just book upto like 200 to 300k for the whole expenses .. You might not even spend up to that.... I think this little info should be able to help you start

You will need only one I20 for yourself. By the way it better you apply alone and they later apply for F2 visa (depenndant) after you have gone, or else it will be hard for you to show ties. Read some pages back on this thread, to gain more insight

Yes every dependent need an F-2 Dependent I-20 while yours is F1 I20 .. Same way every dependent needs their DS160 filled as well and paid application fee but only you (F1) pay SEVIS . Each person is treated as an individual although you can go together or separately

A good link to read to have an overview of dependent F2

This isn't a wise step. Have you done at least one semester in TSU? You guys need to know studying in U.S is rigorous and it consumes time. For a serious student, you can hardly do better in class combining course load with family/job in your first semester, even year. The decision is yours.

Except for finances, i don't think there will be any problems since the wife will be there to care for the kid. The only challenge i think could crop up is the increased cost of living. If that is covered, he is good to go. I for one wouldn't want to leave my family behind for such trip.
