well...But Africans have almost monopolized it and as such all manner of commonsense fell by the wayside!

If you are comparing with Americans (for example)
You will not find 10% of Americans who think their jobs came from god or juju
You will not find 10% of Americans who think their illness was caused by their enemies (in-laws, ex wife, business partner...rubbish like that)
You will not find 10% of Americans who think people can fly at night
You will not find 10% of Americans who think electricity, children, cars and recovery from problems came from god or juju)
You will not find 10% of Americans who have uncountable children because they think god will feed them

Simple phenomenons like a new work, phone, paying the rent and fixing a car are attributed to god or juju rather than the person being educated and qualified for the job, able to drive to landlords house or the phone shop!
They then post online asking everyone to thank god or phoning the babalawo to congratulate him!

The list goes on, but you will find over 90% of Africans who are stupid enough to believe very basic level of idiocy!

Americans believe in all sorts but commonsense approach to life still outsmarts the level that many Africans are at today.

The African approach is more closer to apes mentality on the subjects than the current human ones practiced by other sections of global society!

To all the post-modern and nothing-like-spiritual-powers sayers, come and see the truth. Belief in the the existence of spiritual powers is not held by "poor Africans" only!

So what if other people hold onto other nonsensical beliefs. That doesn't make them right.

There are billions of people who claim Islam and Christianity - that doesn't make either true.

The books are Prepare for War, He Came to Set the Captives Free and Unbroken Curses all by Dr Rebecca Brown.

Lalasticlala, what do you think?
Written by christians? Well, sheeple are sheeple all over the world, but don't be surprised that the authors were only trying to make money by publishing their books and controlling gullible minds with them so they could keep buying more and more books.

REAL LIFE GHOST EXPERIENCES
2. Mirror, mirror
"A friend of mine moved into a new home. One day while cleaning, he accidentally knocked down a hanging mirror, shattering it into hundreds of pieces. He laid the mirror frame on the kitchen table and went down to the basement to get a broom to sweep up the glass. When he got upstairs, all of the pieces had been lain, exactly to the last piece, back into the frame. My friend had only left the mirror for a minute and there was no one else in the house.

I'm sure you've seen grim, supernatural and the likes.... Europeans wouldn't burn millions at the stake during the enlightenment period if they never believed in witchcraft.
So the whites carry all these things for head for and now... Go on YouTube and search about ghost bustings abeg

Nice thread Daviddson

Lots of people have already mentioned what I wanted to say so Im gona include a few things

1.You can be an atheist and still believe in witchcraft , ghosts , spirits , the paranormal

2. Asians are so obsessed with ghosts that most of their religions have to do with venerating and worshiping ancestral spirits . These religions include Confucianism , Han folk religion , Shintoism etc . They believe that these ancestral spirits still have connections with the living and that they control their fortunes especially the ones of their descendants

3. Wicca that has to do with Pagan Witchcraft was first developed in England in the 20th century . You can find the number of adherents of pagan witchcraft here : http://www.religioustolerance.org/wic_nbr3.htm

There are dumb people the world over. The average citizen of any society is not going to be intelligent.

And you will find people who think that their job or 'blessings' come from a deity in north America, a lot more than 10% if the number of xtians is anything to go by.

The same is true in China where people engage in ancestral worship and offer sacrifices to dead people.

The problem in Africa is that a critical mass of people who are able to think rationally have not grasped the reins of power in any one country to steer that society in the right direction. If they did all of the useless traditional and religious authorities would have been sidelined long ago. In short the problem with Africa is cowardice.

You wanna know why Africans are backwards?? They are "wannabes". It's not bad to be a wannabe, but you become silly when you "wannabe" without innovations i.e deep thought process to do something differently. They want to be like and think like a westerner without thinking or researching how the westerners got to where they are. Did America just become America? Did America get the "motto" God's own country for getting sake. When the so called "wannabe" Africans as it concerns religion and atheism go back to history, they will understand a whole lot of things differently. I talked about the issue on this thread. https://www.nairaland.com/4143183/strange-animal-found-high-tension/5#61853636

Jarus:
It is the interpretation of the phenomenon that differs.

In Islam, we believe in an invisible creation called Jinn who share the earth with us.

The evil ones among them can be used by evil humans just as some of them can be independently mischievous.

Jinn possession is real. Jinn can be interpreted as demon in English but not exactly assome of the attribute of demon as used in English are different fromt he attributes of Jinn.

So anyone with good understanding of Islam, irrespective of whether African or European or Asian, will know this phenomenon.

I believe it is the lack of understanding of this phenomenon is what Africans attribute to witches
Jinn in english is Genie Deamon, Deamons are another living creatures entirely.

Google is free. Use it. CNN, Fox, RT carry news of ghost appearances too. You guys always want to make it look like these are African beliefs and superstitions, but you now know they are not!

I think you are confusing illiteracy and lack of commonsense with the definition of spirituality!
The same mistake many Africans make that led them to the current state of global laughing stock!

And the ghosts were reported to them by who? Check, you'll discover that it's the Christians or Muslims or other religious people that are reporting the ghostly occurences. Actually, people who are dead live on, but they cannot appear physically in our own 3D world here. Anybody who reported ghosts must have seen or come in contact with them in dreams or lucid dreams and not in our physical world, or else the person was hallucinating. I have seen ghosts too, but in dreams and lucid dreams. They can't come into our physical world, else they are no more qualified to be called ghosts but human beings.
