@LAGOSISMYHOME THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TRYING TO COMMUNICATE! AGENTS JUST WANT MONEY WITHOUT REGARD TO SOMEONE WASTING THEIR TIME AND EFFORT.

Which would you advice a graduate certificate program or a graduate pathway program?
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 12 by djfrancis: 1:31am On Oct 30, 2017
LagosismyHome:

Graduate Pathway programs are ideal for international students who need additional English language

you are not only from an English speaking country Nigeria you also states you have a master from UK (another english speaking country ) .

Which kind yeye agent advice you to this, that agent no know e work. this move is like going to the embassy just to dash them your application fee. This is highly not advisable in my opinion . if you are late for spring then simple, work towards another semester. if your sponsor cannot wait the option to apply to any program is stiĺ not the best because that might just be another rejection added to your record which you really don't need after 4 times

Which will you advice. A graduate certificate prprogram
or a graduate pathway program?

IF YOU WANT TO EARN A NURSING DEGREE YOU MUST QUALIFY TO OBTAIN A LICENSE FROM A PARTICULAR STATE. MOST STATES REQUIRE A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TO TAKE THE LICENSING EXAM. SO CHECK WITH THE STATE FIRST THEN YOU CAN RESEARCH THE SCHOOL WITHIN THAT STATE, THAT HAVE A NURSING PROGRAM. THEN YOU CAN RESEARCH THE TUITION.

Hello
As a 19 years old boy, can I present my bank statement at the embassy even though I will be telling the VO my parents are sponsoring me?

My parent have valuable properties with low inflow (Low account balance now, they spent on my elderlys of recent) at the moment, but my account is very much better. Can I present my account even though my parents are sponsoring me?

Vo: who's sponsoring you?
Me: My parents
Vo: What do they do?
Me: Dad is the director of.......
...,...Mum owns a........
Vo: Can I see your Bank Statement?

Then she sees it's my account statement am presenting.,..

Am thinking am too young to say am sponsoring myself

Cc: Lagosismyhome, Deetus, bigfrancis21

Realistically in the Nigeria we live in how much can a 19year old have .....legimately and legally where does a 19 year old get enough money to the point of been able to sponsor especially when it doesn't appear to be inheritance money .

yes it too young and very questionable for Nigeria

Lala. No, he can't. It's counter productive and will lead to more questioning.

This is Africa, not Europe or America.

please y is no one talking about ielts is that toefl is better than ielts in the us? i planned writting ielts next month b4 starting my application

Nobody will talk about IELTS because TOEFL is of the US and IELTS is more of the UK. However, most schools in US accept the iELTS; check the schools requirements first.

You're wrong, it's possible, very much possible, when you have your parents financial support. In my own case, I didn't mention I own huge, I only have a bank statement I can easily build on.

My second option is a relative, the man doesn't bear the same surname with me.

Hello gurus in the house
I want to pay for my visa fee tomorrow and book visa appointment as y'all said time is running out. However, I'm yet to receive my I20, although the school has sent my Sevis ID and school code. I don't want to make any mistake while filling my DS 160 form because I don't have certain information which is contained in the I20 form. Can I book an appointment by using the application ID of the DS 160 without submitting it and submit it when my I20 arrives? Thanks in anticipation

Go ahead. Just don't submit the DS 160 form. I mean final submission until you get your I-20. But book appointment straight up. Don't make mistake when registering on cgifederal site. Remember your last name is your Surname and first name are your other names. Cross check very well before submitting the form.

All the best.

Thanks, this is exactly what I needed. You just touched a life with your reply. Thank you very much.

You see, the thing is, you already know what you want, you're just wanting someone to tell you. Believe me man, most times, it isn't about what we need or want. It's actually about what it is. I've been on this thread long enough to know that whatever anyone tells you, is certainly for your own good subsequently.

Cheers

Me too I need the site. I have paid for my application but I don't know the website and I don't want to do a random Google search.

All you need to do is make sevis payment in the next link after receiving your i20 (https://www.fmjfee.com), note that the SEVIS cant be paid in Nigeria, someone abroad has to make the payment for you after you have filled the sevis coupon in that link, then fill the Ds 160 form ( https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/) and lastly schedule for visa interview here https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=Nigeria
