Dear Nairalanders,

I am in my early 30s, graduate and with a nice federal job. I have live in virtually all the cities of Nigeria, and have put 5yrs and 4months in the public service now.
From my early education to university, God have been gracious and merciful with me. Most things God blesses me with, I prayed for it and specific in my prayers too. But this marriage issue, me no understand at all.
I have been praying for a wife since late 2011 to 2012 when I finished NYSC. I have fasted and pray severally for a life partner, but no avail. I had wanted to marry from my tribe not because I hate other tribes but because of proximity and yulitede convenience. In between these searches I have tried other tribes too.
Last year I even consecrated myself and admired a lady who didn't have any feeling for me. Prayed and fasted too that God give me her love but no way. Shortly after Eldorado and fantasy of my dream woman failed a lady who live closed to my office enticed me with her younger sister. After much description and Ecstasy of her sister. Her sister later turned it down on the ground that she doesn't know me too well.

Dear op,maybe you need to go out more,attend social events and visit new places but also note that your choice of location might determine the type of people you meet..hope you are not too selective sha,if you are,maybe that is where the problem lies.

you need to be more spiritual, bible says watch and pray. if u practise that principle, it will help u out in this case.

Hmmmmm! Ironically herself capitalized on my single live and consecration and seduced me. Which resulted to pregnancy and later a baby boy. But with hell loose in and around me. She like trouble and glutton like food. Day and night na one trouble or the other.
Finally, please especially the married ones in the forum. How do I get this marriage issue right. Can anybody tell me what I ought to do apart from prayers and fasting. I have read good books on marriages. Attended marriage seminars, friendly with ladies. Most ladies now look at my profile for love. I am not rich but comfortable with a good career and dream to be rich when it is my turn to be blessed by God. And to me love is not about what I am but who I am.
