Love is key in your giving. A lot of people pay tithe out of fear of devourers. You cannot claim your love is perfect when you react out of fear.

1 John 4:18. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

I do love the modern day tithing system because it's a way of making sure that the church doesn't lack funds. I encourage it to be done out of love. It is not compulsory.

I'm totally against church using tithes to build schools and members can't afford.
