You are not sound in the scriptures as you think....

1.
Lev. 27:30 was speaking about the old covenant and laws, alongside other laws as enshrined in the old covenant. If you must obey the laws regarding tithing, the Bible says you are obligated to obey all the laws. James 2:10, he that observes one law, must observe all in other to be guiltless. Lev 19:27 & 21:5 also commands that that, you do not shave your beards, hope you are keeping this, what about if you deflower a girl, you must marry her, if you commit adultery, you must be stoned to death...there are many more.

2. In Matt 23:23, Jesus was speaking to the scribes and Pharisees, who are Jews were still practicing and worshiping in accordance with the old covenant. The passage reference him talking about the 'wealthier matters of the law', which in another passage that he said, he came to fulfill....thereby freeing us all from the obligations of the law.


3. Deut 14:23; Talk about eating your own tithe in the presence of the Lord and not paying it to a church or pastor. It went further to state that, if the place of your gathering is too far, selling your offerings, covert it to cash..take the cash and travel to the place of your gathering and use the money to buy whatsoever thy soul desireth. Verse 29 talk about giving the tithes to the fatherless, strangers, widows and levites...Yes! you are commanded to split your tithe and share with the less privilege and not give everything to the levites every 3rd year.

4 Deut 8:18, does not talk about tithing...one can still remember and acknowledge God as the source of his or her wealth even without tithing and not everyone that tithes actually acknowledges God as the source of their wealth.

5. Deut 16:17 is talking about contributions towards the seven days feast of shelters or tabernacles to remember how God delivered the Israelite from bondage in Egypt and gave them a shelter in the promised land. This is part of the law that Jesus has fulfilled and moreso, if am not mistaking, you are not an Israelite.

6. In Mal 3:8-19, The Prophet was talking directly to the Priests who have collected tithes and refused to bring it to the store-house....No where in the old testament was the Israelite commanded to bring tithes to the store-house, it was the responsibility of the Levites and Priest to take the tithes from the people and bring it into the store-house. In Nehemiah 10:37-38, only 1% of the tithes are taken to the store-house by the levites. In Malachi, the Priest were not taking the tithes to the store house any longer, they were coveting them for personal use; thereby robing God and depriving the feeding of the strangers, poor, and widows; hence the Prophet is rebuking them.

7. This is a continuation of the Malachi passage, the audience here are the Levites and Priest, whose responsibility is to bring the tithes into the store house.

8. This is the general, selfless and willful given that is talk in the new testament. It has nothing to do with tithing. Tithing is strictly 10%, 'growing' in the passage, does not earmark any specific percentage of your income and as such, it could be zero, or 1% or 20% or 100%.

9. Don't mix tithing with freewill offering, Totaling two different things...Christians should give for the expansion of the work of God, maintenance of Ministers, but it is not obligatory, it is not mandatory and should not be coerced.

10. Mat 6:19-20, is not talking about tithing or even giving, neither is it talking about offering. It is talking of been heavenly minded, righteousness, Godly practices, etc.

Why didn't he and his disciples pay tithe?. Show me that one in the bible. We clearly lack understanding of the gospel. Malachi 3: 8. Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

This scripture is commonly applied to tithing alone but as you can see it also involves offerings. Basically God is saying:

Malachi 3: 10. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

You have to look at preceeding the preceeding bible verse(Mal 3:8 ) before concluding on Mal 3:10. The aim is for the house of God to have "meat".

There wasn't much emphasis on tithing in the new testament because the believers usually gave ALL. I believe they did this out of love and because they were expecting the rapture at any moment. Love is key in your giving. A lot of people pay tithe out of fear of devourers. You cannot claim your love is perfect when you react out of fear.

1 John 4:18. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

I do love the modern day tithing system because it's a way of making sure that the church doesn't lack funds. I encourage it to be done out of love. It is not compulsory.

Unto hustling things, it's now a must in churches. My pastor even said if you don't pay tithe you will go to hell as gatekeeper of hell he is. I quietly left the church. They won't even dedicate your baby if you dont pay tithe, God's blessings are now for sale. These men are hustlers simple.

Please how does a full time Pastor feed and cloth his Family

Please what's your definition of a full time pastor? Lemme help explain your definition(I might be right or wrong)

A full time pastor in your context is a pastor that dedicate all his time to church activities, probably from Monday to Sunday he is in the church

Now the pertinent questions is the pastor that spends 12 hours of his time in church probably 6 AM to 6 PM, does all his members come to his church everyday?

Is the church now a counseling center, or a local government liaison office that the officer must be on seat from Monday to Sunday?

Do the so called full time pastor have time for leisure, travels, recreation and rest? If yes why can't he create time for work?

During Bible times, none of the prophets, disciples , servants of God who were active ministers of God who were jobless, they had menials jobs they did which God blessed,so that they can tend for their families.

Or these so called full time rougue pastors of today were more active than our Lord Jesus Christ who for three and half years was active in the ministry, did you read from any part of the scriptures that he lorded or that the crowd he preached to contributed money to support his ministry(which included feeding, transportation and other logistics)? Or are the full time rogue pastors now more "full time" than Jesus Christ? Are they now more full time than Apostle Paul who transversed continents, did they buy him a luxury boat like they buy phantoms, Bugattis, Ferraris, private jets for this modern day rogues in church robes? Nooo Paul learnt a tent making skill(which was a menial trade then) to support himself and the ministry.

So bros the excuse of full time pastor is null and void and can never hold water when sound and just reasoning is involved

The new testament xtians are bound by the law of sowing and reaping. He that sows sparingly will reap sparingly and he that sows bountifully will reap bountifully. Everyone should give accordingly not by compulsion. Emphazy should be placed on living in peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see God. I agree. But it must be emphasized here that every church is not the temple of God. If this were so, the Holy Spirit would continually manifest itself according to the promises of Jesus Christ in every church. He sent the Holy Spirit for the purpose of filling each TRUE church with power for healing, demonic deliverance and awesome blessing.

The Holy Spirit will not show up if the spiritual leader/pastor is not recognized in the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus said clearly that, "First seek the Kingdom of heaven, and all else will be given."

God will bless those that only give to a living, Holy Spirit filled church.

Most people that argues about tithes don't even pay, they are just angry @ those who pays.
They don't vent their anger @ sinful things going on in church, some of them slept with their girls last night, Some where even in club last night, but once money and tithe is mentioned, they begin to masturbte on it.
