So, finally it is my turn to testify, the Lord has done it. Like someone mentioned some days back, it will get to a time that one would just get tired of checking mails every morning expecting that grant and just concentrate on other things, I have been like that for some weeks now, only for me to check my mail on a Saturday morning and the grant catwalked in.

It all started last year November when I assessed my qualifications with ACS and they broke my heart with negative outcome based on the fact that my degree isn't equivalent to Aussie Bsc and I needed 4years experience to qualify. I gave up at that moment until when someone here opened my eyes to the possibility of going with TRA so I did and got a positive outcome, even though they were silent on the level of education I went ahead to claim the maximum point for a Bsc, this was my fear with DIBP, alas it came out well.

It's a 489 visa, and my advice for some especially the single ones, if 190 is taking time to get coz of your English test or something, just go with the 489 instead of continuous waiting, before you know it another policy will come up. My occupation was for 190 initially, the day i was to apply for state nomination was when they moved it to 489, so i decided to just go on with it.

Thanks to everyone that has helped me one way or the other and I pray for those still in process, it will land sooner than you think.

Pls anyone that has info on if IOM help with travel tickets for 489 applicants and the process should pls advice.

Congratulations! I'm glad you didn't give up. I remember our emails. Happy everything worked out well eventually. May God favor you. Amen

Congratulations bro. It is worth celebrating. 489 or not. Like Alphadoor said, it is not an at all at all visa. God will go ahead of you and prosper your ways.

Chemical Engineer is the first and last option for you.

Can't see why you accepted Engineering Technologist even with your 5yrs experience in the Chemical Industry.

Good thing is that you're willing to refine!
It would only cost you more but it's worth every penny.

Submit another application to EA as a Chemical Engineer and ensure that the outcome is a professional engineer.

Cheers!

Akachukwu123:
I assessed as an engineering technologist with EA
Guys, I need to know if its there's another occupation I can assess with an I have 5 years work experience in a chemical industry with a B.Eng in Chemical engineering from Futo(2012)

Thanks brothers

No vex for the accusation bro. You know "we" ( I and the triplets inside my pregnancy ) don dey defend you nah.
@STAugustineOf13, gently oh. It is well.
That being said, I want to appreciate people who rose to my situation these past 6 weeks or more.
AHPRA actually wanted some docs from me, about four. I was able to get three, but my professional body ( Nursing and Midwifery council Nigeria) couldn't get a sheet of paper signed from 11th September till 19th October. Several efforts were made, chief Bellong was with me through it all, Kingbukaz tried all within his ability, Nanlop was at the council for me, and three other people on different occasions, oscar offered to help out too, Monica was there, Jamson, Bnimz, mctowel01, Teejay80, Sol and many others were with me in the situation. Unfortunately, my application was withdrawn on the 25th of this month ( the withdrawal note ought to have been given me on 22nd). The stress of the ups & downs, financial commitment which the bleeped up people at the helms of affairs caused me were much on me and the sadness of unfruitful efforts were heavy on me.. To make matters worst, I got the letter few hours after my application was withdrawn.
...but through it all, I've learnt to depend upon the lord.
I want to appreciate my family members ( blood & efam). May God crown our efforts with success, Rinzylee, ugsams, you're much respected. How can I forget phlunter01, my sister and counselor in all these, or nkechima who left her own travail to pray with me in the scorching sun of unyielding manager?? God bless you all. May God "say yes" to our migration dreams.

My Sis am just seeing this but U did not mention that the application was withdrawn the last time we spoke on phone...... OMG........ Do not give up, keep dreaming and hoping. Set your goal above what just happened.

Congratulations and welcome to Australia.
Contact IOM Via iomnigeria@iom.int; with oabikoye@iom.int; and OAjaegbu@iom.int in copy.
The fare ain't steady and same. It all depends on the part of Australia you're heading to. It also depends on when you want to travel as the festive season is setting in with travel costs on the rise.
I got a ticket to Tassie last week and the total cost was 455k one-way per person.
Once again, I say a big congratulations and God's grace ahead.

Hey Chief, I was asking because you said you claimed B.Sc.

It was a four year course and ACS earlier claimed it is equivalent to an advanced diploma, but TRA was silent on the education level, so I decided to claim Bsc with it since TRA didn't specify.

Hope you understand now.

Please what's the benefit of your advise above? Can you clarify a bit further. I'm a bit confused because you mentioned fill but don't submit. If we don't have to submit does it count for something?

All it does is save you time. Lots of personal time. Don't underestimate how tiresome it can be to keep filling the same information over and over again at every stage of the visa application especially if you're on subclass 190 and aiming for a direct grant.
