I'll have to see the replay to fully answer this. However, it seems the backline went to sleep at that instant. Smalling was supposed to be marking Morata but he didn't because he was busy marking the man Jones is supposed to be marking.

That Bakayoko own shocked me as well. If he'd scored that early, it'd have been game over from the onset coz we dont know how to fight from a goal down anymore. Honestly, the better team won. We deserve to lose by bigger margin. No excuses from me.

Football is not all about tactics alone. You can spur the team and instill a kinda mentality that will see them play as champions. Create a belief that brings out the winning mentality in your lads.

Under SAF, we're renowned for coming back from Jaws of defeats to draw or win matches that nobody thought we'd win. Nowadays, such mentality is almost gone. When was the last we won or draw a top match from losing position?

Classic match during SAF time with us, Chelshit went 3 goals ahead, but the lads fought back to draw. SAF was more than a coach, he knew how to inspire the players to fight for every point. Nowadays, our comeback fire has been extinguished.
