Igbo Will Produce President After Buhari’s Second Term —kalu by nurex01(m): 1:45am On Nov 06, 2017
Ogbonnaya Ikokwu, Umuahia

A former governor of Abia State and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Chief Orji Kalu, has said the Igbo can be sure of producing a president in 2023 if they support the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kalu, who urged the Igbo to wake up and learn from their past political experience, stated that the “future of the Igbo in Nigerian politics is brighter now than it has ever been in the past with the APC.”

Kalu, who spoke in Umuahia, the state capital on Sunday, maintained that producing an Igbo president “is a task every true Igbo indigene must key into and the APC is the best platform to achieve the dream.”

He said, “The future of Ndigbo is the brightest today in the APC. Once Buhari finishes his second tenure, I’m assuring you that either I or any other Igbo man stands a better chance of becoming the president of Nigeria. The right thing to do is to work for the Presidency.

“We don’t need any other thing than the office of the President. If you see what I have done in our villages as governor, you will know what will happen if somebody like me becomes the President; you know that the entire Nigeria will be developed. The future is very bright and Ndigbo will enjoy being in the APC. That is why we are working very hard to win the Anambra State election and will win the state.

“It is possible to have Orji Kalu in Aso Rock, if I’m alive and in good health. I’m very capable to be President because I understand the macro and micro-economics of Nigeria, I don’t even see any Nigerian more capable than I’m to run for the office and work for the people.”

He disclosed that the APC-led government was already reconstructing the Uzuakoli/ Bende Ohafia Road in the state through his intervention.

“When I was governor, I was busy maintaining that road; it is a state government road. But when I left office, it was overlooked and the road became deplorable. So I appealed to the Federal Government for an intervention on that road and they are doing rehabilitation work now.

“The rehabilitation is not being done by any member of the National Assembly; it was by my request. I told the federal authorities that I can’t go to my village anymore and I’m a member of the ruling party, because I had once spent over five hours on the road because of its deplorable state. I showed Mr. President the pictures and he ordered for immediate rehabilitation of the road.

“We are doing the road to help the people, so that our people can be happy and stop working on their vehicles all the time. That’s what good governance is all about,” Kalu said.

Why not if not.
Does EFCC even remember that Sylva exists? Did they not return his houses to him?
Even the MaguN Chairman of EFCC is a bloody corrupt rogue.
Presidiot bubu is truly the baba isale of barawos.
The All Poverty Congress aka Association of ProgreTHIEF Criminals, APC will go down as the worst government in the history of our country.

sunnyb0b0:
Timipre Sylva, former governor of Bayelsa state, has retrieved 48 of his property which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seized during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan.

According to PUNCH, some of the property are located in Wuse II and Maitama, highbrow areas of Abuja.

Back then, the commission had slammed 50 charges against the ex-governor and arraigned him before three federal high courts in Abuja.

Sylva, who contested the 2015 governorship election in Bayelsa, had accused the anti-graft agency of witch-hunt and political persecution.

The case was subsequently struck out.

A PUNCH correspondent, who visited some of the houses, observed that the inscription ‘EFCC, Keep Off’, on the gates or fences of the property, had been wiped off the buildings while some had been rented out.

The correspondent, who posed as a prospective tenant, was informed that the rent for the property ranged between N2.5m and N6m per annum.

Sixteen units of service apartments at Plot 1181 Thaba Tseka Crescent, off IBB Way in the Wuse II area of the federal capital territory (FCT), cost N6m per annum including a N1.5m service charge.

The building provides seven hours of power supply from a generator. One wing had been painted while the other was under reconstruction.

“When the EFCC sealed off this property, it was rotting away. However, it was re-opened a few months ago so we started to refurbish the property. We have repainted the property and we have started renting the apartments out,” a guard at the property was quoted to have said.

At a block of flats, which comprises nine units (six one-bedroom and three two-bedroom flats) located at 8, Sefadu Street, Wuse, Zone 2, PUNCH was told that the rent ranged from N1.5m to N3m.

“Immediately the EFCC inscriptions were erased, all the flats were taken. There is no vacant apartment now,” the security guard said.

At a property located at 8 Mistrata Street, Wuse II, Abuja, it was observed that the property was a hotel, which charged between N25,000 and N45,000 per room.

TheCable’s efforts to reach Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC’s spokesman, for the reaction of the commission did not yield the desired result as of the time this report was filed.

His telephone line was out of reach, but a text message was sent.

Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has rented a mansion in the elitist Maitama District of the Federal capital territory (FTC) Abuja, News Express can report this morning.

The storey building located at No. 8B, Rudolf Close, off Katsina Ala Crescent, in the highbrow Maitama District, was the abode of a former federal minister who died some time in May 2014.

An impeccable source said: “The property was rented to the Acting EFCC Chairman for N40,000,000 at N20,000,000 per annum.

“Furthermore, the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) curiously awarded a contract to Africa Energy, a company owned by Rtd Air Comm. Umar Muhammad, to furnish the residence at the cost N43,000,000, in a Government where the President is known to have frowned at and rebuked his ministers for requesting N20,000,000 each to secure accommodation and furnish them.

“It is shocking that the man spearheading the anti-corruption crusade of the government will be involved in such a venture. More surprising is the involvement of FCDA in renting a house for EFCC and under what arrangement.”

News Express made efforts to get the reaction of Magu and EFCC but the commission’s spokesmen Osita Nwajah and Wilson Uwujaren did not respond to text messages sent to them seeking their reaction to the story.

Former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, has formally joined the All Progressives congress.

Kalu was received by the Chief John Odigie-Oyegun-led National Working Commitee of the party at the National Secretariat on Wednesday.

He said he has succumbed to pressures from his friends and well wishers to contribute his quota to building the party in Nigeria especially in the South East.

Atiku ko, Akilu ni!

What does Atiku know about governance? We have a dossier on his service years in Customs. We are waiting. Atiku want to be president but his company is flagrantly disobeying laws of the land and act with a false sense of entitlement to shove legitimate business aside in preference for money launderers and smugglers. We go explode Atiku to a point he will never ever again have any grain of credibility left in Adamawa politics.

My friend go and review records on the pre and post Atiku tenure in Customs.

Ask yourself, why does Orji uzor Kalu all of a sudden have a voice now?

whose giving him the microphone and why does what he say matter right now if not the fact that he's positioning himself for presidency.

But do you know what this people will do in office before Leaving it to you.

Rubbish, who needs the presidency of the zoo. GEJ was in Aso rock by divine providence yet they humiliated and you think your case as an Igbo man will be different? Continue decieving yourself by seeking for Igbo president when the structure is already skewed against him and will only make him a pawn. The Zoo is being manipulated by the fulani, a re.tar.ded group with 14th century mindset. Kalu was saying all sort of rubbish against Nnamdi Kanu just to curry favour of the fulani people against the interest of his own people and that is how he will still work to impress them when they give him the presidency. Even GEJ tried to impress them by doing more for them. Fvrked up jungle!!!
