Dwebb55:reschedule or reapply? once visa is issued, you can't reschedule. and to reapply...hmmm....automatically cancels the existing visa and earliest interview date is thereabouts Jan 10. ..that'll be too late as edd is end of Jan. no airline will carry such a pregy lady |

Hello beautiful people, please I need your answers on this question (LO's passport).. DH doesn't work/live in Nigeria and will not be coming to the US. Do I have to send the consent form to his own country of residence or does he necessary have to go to Nigeria to send the notarized letter please? |

Hello people just in case you are traveling local flights to connect with your international flights...e.g from Abuja to Lagos. The local air lines don't allow you fly over 30 weeks, within the country.... While international air lines go as far as 36 weeks. Our local flights average 1 hour... not up to a regular Nigerian movie some may sit to watch. Do you think they are trying to reduce the number of persons that deliver outside the country...because if a pregnant woman is at risk to fly for 45 mins - 1hour at30 weeks, are they safer to go on a whole day's journey on rough, bumpy, dangerous roads to same destination? |

I have been a silent reader here and I have learnt a lot on this thread. I went for my interview on the 26th of October with DH and my 3 year old daughter. We were refused. Transcript: Vo: why do you want to go to America? Me:childbirth and vacation Vo:what do you do? Me:I work as xxxxxx Vo: to my husband what do you do? DH: I work as xzxxz Vo: Do you have your Dr's correspondence Me: yes hand it over Vo: can i see your statement of account Me: hand it over He goes through I said why don't you want to leave your daughter behind Me: I don't trust anyone to look after her the way I will cos I will be gone for 3 months and I haven't left her for that Long before. Then the Vo goes through my passport and asks you have been to the UK a couple Times Me: yes I have Vo:what was your duration of stay? Me:3 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks Vo: you must have a relative there Me:my aunt Vo: Do you know anyone in the U.S. Me:No Vo:so why not go to the UK since u have been the and the healthcare system is as good as the Us? The UK is closer and it's cheaper and you have a relative there Me: it's not cheaper besides I can afford the bills in the US Types endlessly and hands over the blue refusal paper I applied for an emergency appointment and it was approved same day. Interview 6:30am this morning I applied alone Vo:good morning with smiles Me: good morning VO: why are you going to America Me: childbirth Vo: what hospital? Me: HNWMC Vo: Dr's name Me: Dr Nicholas xydas Vo:what do you do Me: I.work.as xcccc VO: how much do you earn Me:bleep Vo: what does your husband do Me:works at xxxxcc Vo: how much does he earn? Me : bleep Vo:how long have you been on your job Me;5 years Vo:Do you know anyone in the U.S. Me;No Vo: will your husband be joining you? Me: yes if I get the visa and if his work permits as at that time Vo: where will you be staying? Me: I already booked an apartment on airbnb Vo:I see you were interviewed recently so what has changed about your application? Me: I applied with my family now I am applying alone to Show ties. Vo: I see you are a frequent traveller to the U.K. so why are you not going there for child birth Me: I enquired about a hospital there but I am choosing to go to the U.S. because I have 2 friends who have used the hospital and they came recommended it highly I will rather go where I have had people recommend as to the hospital in the UK where I have not heard anyone's experience. Types and hand over the blue paper. Pls what went wrong in both interviews? Though I have decided to stay back and have the baby here but is it a crime to have visited the UK? Cos that's where I can see the arrows pointing. |

Ayotundesh: Nope.... is just airline policy. Even if you are travelling from lagos to owerri. They just can't afford to handle any emergency above that 30wks. |

Bellsmum:So sorry about the denial. In my opinion, i think you should have just come clean about giving your child a dual citizenship, something the UK doesn't offer. It shows truthfulness because that's exactly the response the two VOs were expecting from you. If you still have time, you can reapply for interview dates in January and look the VO in the face to proclaim it. You can afford it and it's not a crime. 10 Likes |

Was she asked if she was pregnant? Did she bluntly lie that she was not pregnant, therefore concealing the truth? AroOkigbo: |

jesufifunmi: Yep, you're right. The US visa officers already know that's the primary reason why most if not all decides to give birth in the US. |

[quote author=Christine77 post=62136674]Please if u did drop box y did u av to schedule an appointment n den was given ur visas without an interview? Though your question isn't clear enough, I'll try n answer based on wat I understood. Dropbox does not automatically exempt you from scheduling appointment, it is thru the appointment that you can either be called for further interview or be granted visas without being called. To qualify for Dropbox, u must meet certain criteria. Kindly click d link below for more clarification. http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-visarenew.asp |

Just my thoughts When they say do not take discounts or any form of aid, some still go ahead to register for WIC. Collecting something that is not your right and expecting nothing to happen is just wrong. You gave your info when registering for the AID so when they run a search, it would easily come up. Please dont collect what does not belong to you!!! debby516: |
