some people always think they are the only one that has a life.. Yoruba adage says 'ti eniyan o ba de oko baba elo mi, a ro pe oko baba ohun lo tobi ju' (if someone doesn't goes/visit another persons farm, he would think his fathers farm is the biggest)...
bro forget bout them, its ur life live it the way u likeo, if u wish to relocate to south sudan that's ur choice nobody helped you when u are in Naija now they are here trying to rain on your parade, forget bout them bro they are frustrated!

my dear brother i cannot but care less about them. I don't even accept help frm humans, never, i'd rather die than letting some people help me, i have family that can look out for me and i thank the lord for that and i can even take care of myself, that i have learned to do... I send them not and i don't even care if they are in existence or not. I'm just surprised at how some people think they are the only one that has and know everything in life.. Look at him asking me if have ever been to the U.S.. So even if i haven't been there once i can't have families, friends there? Isn't it funny? I hope he can google search the states in Nigeria that benefits the most in America DV lottery, it is my state (ondo state) and edo state. And it is my home town in ondo state (ile oluji) that has the highest number, we don't have any other jobs in my town than playing DV lottery.. Most of the youths in my town have moved to the U.S with DV lottery, they even have association and well known in Indianapolis.. So it just amazed me how he said it like i can never have people that can give me vital and correct information about the country. It's really funny. Have been thinking about it and have been laughing since. Only God knows how many friends i have in the U.S. These people that inherit wealth and positions are always funny. Londoner, i don't know who or what you are but please whatever it is you think you have is nothing but a day change to someone.

Inferiority complex is what you're asking him of and that exactly is what you're oozing in your own post.

Now, op is drinking garri and he's living well with peace of mind ... it's none of ya biz.

If he likes, let him sleep on the floor as long as there is peace of mind, it's his biz.

Mind you, if he works in Ghana, he won't be paid in naira.

Purchasing power of both currencies differs.

Stop sounding like you're been fed in Nigeria, cos if you genuinely work for money here and see how fast you spend em, you won't type some stuffs on here.

Live and let's live.

Look not down on no one.

Correct those who you think are getting things wrong.

Don't curse.

Seriously, I have no issue with anyone if he/she chooses to relocate to Ghana. It's not my problem. But what I won't tolerate is someone calling Nigeria a "mumu country" on a forum just because he finds himself in Ghana. What insolence! If he doesn't have any respect for his country "Nigeria", some of us have respect for Nigeria.

your entire generations are fools.. Starting from your father to your mother to your brothers and sisters and if you have a wife and children including them and also your great grand parents.. They are all fools.. Yes, they are all fools. If you think you can just come here to start telling me trash because the internet has made it possible for you then i am sorry. As much as i hate troubles, i love it sometimes. You want some? Now bring it on. Did you not pass through primary school at all? I can see you lack knowledge and i wasn't supposed to reply you but seems you'd love to dance with the devil. Now let the game begin.
I have no qualms with you. But you should never insult Nigeria a "mumu country". Period. If you are so blind to access opportunities in Nigeria to better your life, some of us still do. It is same Nigeria you called mumu country, that I finished my first degree in Economics from OAU at affordable tuition fee. The same Nigerian government offered me postgraduate scholarship to study for my masters degree in Europe. After graduation, I came back to this country. And it is same Nigerian government that grant me 5 million loan to start my company through Bank of industry at 9 percent interest rate with tenor duration of 5 years. I didn't know anyone, I just submitted my business plan. I have 6 permanent staff employed in my fruit juice factory. Stay there in Ghana and continue your garri drinking. Everyone knows there is no job for Nigerians in Ghana. Ghana is only good for doing business. And you didn't go with enough money that can start a business in Ghana.I just hope you won't deceive other gullible Nigerians to join you in your penury in Ghana. Rubbish.

you benefited from the government from about 140 million plus people is your luck sir. It's not like you are in anyway better than others that became victim of the government. Well it's obvious you didn't read properly from the first page where i said i need to stay in ghana for a while.. If i didn't get a job before i'd proceed to my next destination that won't kill me.. I never for once searched for any job in my own country, so how much more of someone else country? So thanks for your contribution.

You're making no sense, trust me.

Now, go to front page and read the story of the guy who was "unlawfully" detained by Sars.

If the system is not good, the citizens can never ever soft pedal.

If you live in Nigeria, you won't come on here to attack the op ... maybe to encourage him to see the good side of the country.

Keep your fake patriotism.

Dude is right in his own stead. Go open your own thread and praise Nigeria.

SHALOM

I did not even present any patriotism, I just told the truth about Nigeria's problems being much more than the politicians. It's proven by what some Nigerians display elsewhere. I am talking about many Nigerians outside of Nigeria, under different governments, with systems that 'work' .....they often have difficulty in being better citizens EVEN outside Nigeria.
For Goodness sake there is a growing list of countries that want Nigerians SPECIFICALLY to LEAVE.
That should tell you something, and that is why I asked him to look at the difference between the CITIZENS of Ghana and the CITIZENS of Nigeria. Therein lies a clue to an improved Nigeria.

He ignored that question for a reason and you are also attempting to change the discussion for a reason.

Ordinary Nigerians are a MAJOR part of the problem with Nigeria...FACT.

You haven't even understood my original post have you?

A claim was made by a poster that 100 dollars a day on cabs in America for people in the US doesn't 'touch their pocket' as if it's nothing to them simply because they paying in dollars. What type of logic or reasoning is that?
That's an untruth. A person in the US on an average wage will CERTAINLY feel 100 dollars a day spent on cab fare.

That was the point of my comment which seems to have gone over your head. You even wasted a Yoruba adage in reply lol

Claims were made out of ignorance even in this internet age.

check tonaton.com olx.com.gh you'd see some advertised shops there, if you are interested in kumasi then target shops around roman hair(i don't know if that spelling is correct though), that is a very good area for business though have not been there once but i heard that's like the major market for commercial activities. I don't know anything about accra.

Hi, you are in Nigeria your home country.. Are you living large there? And mind you, before i start planning to relocate to this place, i have about 400k in my account and living in a free single room self contained. I was okay with myself in Nigeria, i do not have it all but i was comfortable now i came here, i'm now living in a single room, sleeping on the floor, taking garri.. Why do you think i made the choice? Nigeria is fast becoming something else, it is not secure.. Things are not going well with my country.. I came here knowing fully well the consequencies, hun.. I could have continue living in my little luxury in Nigeria, but please.. If it's like i wanted more, i could have choosed dubai instead, i can get people to assist me with few more tokens with what i had and go for dubai, but all i wanted was to leave that shithole country.. Nigeria was fast becoming hell on earth. As time goes by, i will be okay here and i'd get on tracks, hun? Even those that travelled to dubai didn't just get there to start a luxurious life, you can ask justi4jesu what it feels like... And me not getting a job till now is all my fault, i am not always good at searching for jobs since i have not once search for one.. I deal with the computers.. Getting the right connection will set my feet on the rock here soon.. Very soon i say, i'd be back at my feet my sister. And i know few Nigerians here that always give thanks to God for the choice they made to leave that country.. And even though all the policemen are not the same, but with this little time have spent here, my sister, here is quit peaceful than many states and places in Nigeria.. And the electricity you are paying for in Nigeria, i know you can count the hours you do use them in a day.. Wether it's expensive here or not, it's worth it.. It's 24/7.. And 5 cedis ain't N500 and like i said earlier, whenever you are out of Nigeria, stop trying to do the exchange to Nigeria currency, you'd cry.. The exchange is not in favour of Nigeria naira at all.. Common cedi is now N87.. Is Nigeria and it's leaders not ashamed of themselves? Hun. Common cedi ooo. I pity that country.. I'm just glad i'm free from it first and i pray God will protect people i left there.. I have no plan to return t that country ever again. But if i return still someday, i pray God will continue to keep me as He has always been doing in that country.

I'm happy that you are happy where you are, but even though I don't agree with Pidgin2 most times, it's not good to insult one's country with reckless abandon the way you did

Please resist that.

The same country that you are insulting is home to millions of foreigners that don't have any plans of going home

Apart from that, I'm enjoying your thread.

You are right he and others ignored the comment because they don't want to take any responsibility for the Nigeria they disdain but continue to perpetuate. They do say ignorance is bliss, he will also ignore the deplorable reputation of Nigerians like himself that have relocated to Ghana, or SA, or UK, India and the list is endless.

i decided to ignore you because i don't know who is running this account.. Who knows if it's that girl. And her reasoning is something else. But as regards your question about an average ghanaian citizien compare to average Nigerian.. My answer is.... Give birth to a child, leave him/her in the street to take care of himself/herself and give birth to another one and pamper and raise him/her yourself under your roof. After that, come back here to tell us the differences. Thanks

The difference will be that one becomes street wise and the other naive. The street wise one is most times smarter and grabs opportunities faster. You were born and raised on the streets going by your own parable yet you seek solace with the child raised and pampered at home, didn't you learn anything from the streets? grin

Were you raised in the streets? So why the analogy?

Ghana has its poor trust me. It's not about forever expecting other grown adults to take the blame for decisions you make in your own life.

Ghanaians are not pampered by their government but they are generally more principled by DECISION. There is a social expense to being a known criminal in Ghana whereas many Nigerians will celebrate a known thief
Who is it that will accept money to disrupt their system? Who is it that is accepting bags of rice to vote in terrible leaders for themselves and their children? Ordinary Nigerians that's who. There is no amount of money a Ghanaian will accept to disrupt Ghana.

Besides, Nigeria is surrounded by other poor countries whose governments ALSO don't do much for them but they don't seem to collectively stoop as low as some Nigerians morally. There is still a level of self respect and dignity eminating from the citizen.
When they seek other climes they take that with them too.

Ghanaians do not generally worship money as much as some Nigerians although they like nice things too. They along with other neighbouring Africans have mastered the art of contentment in their period of lack. A Nigerian will quickly become angry and desperate if he does not 'blow' in the fastest possible time even without any intention of working for it.

That desperation for FAST money leads to lots of the insecurity in some places Nigeria through unthinkable means. Trickery is a way of live for far too many in some places in Nigeria although not all. The government has their blame but the contribution of many of the 170 million other Nigerians in keeping Nigeria down, backwards and never reaching potential can not be overlooked.

I also intend to relocate. Not that i live poorly, but the stress level is on overdrive, one could lose one's mind just walking around metropolitan areas like Lagos..The mental condition of many Nigerians are dilapidated due to the problems that surrounds... too much challenges, why won't they relocate? Many times, relocating takes place when they have saved enough funds, and not to seek greener pastures. The climes there are saner.

you will be given a 60 days stamp at the entrance.. If you come with ABC, Cross Country and the likes, it is thier duty to help you with the stamp.. They will collect your passport (i mean all passengers) and tender it at every immigration office. You will then change it later at any immigration office for a token. But nobody is asking for any work permit before they'd recruit you but it's a must to always change your visiting so as to extend your stay and you can do few other official stuffs.

Hope you have started processing your permit too?

All your praise for gh will vanish once Ghana immigration hold you lol.

aww Don't be Biased.

@OP Yeah you need to process your residence permit..but another method for you to maintain your Legal status unlike other Illegal Nigerian out there is this,Before your 3 month runs out always take a Bus across the border to Lome ,spend a day out there and check into Ghana then you have your another 3 months.

It will be better for you to locate your nearest Immigration center and apply for a Residence permit cos this is gonna help you have a straight life out there and for future purposes.

Observation:People travel or relocate in life for difference reasons. We have already had enough threads about those in Nigeria launching campaigns about people who are travelling or relocating. That shouldn't be anybody's business,At least none of you guys is responsible for OPs ticket or welfare. You guys shouldn't be pained, one Man food is another Man poison,It Depend on the way you see it.A guy from Benue State once asked me few years ago at CMS,pointing at the lagoon and considering it to be swimming pool?Is that not lack of exposure?Do you guys know so many Nigerians that has never at least experience stable electricity. So many of you guys always mix things up with money, money ,money but money is not Everything. For someone who has been to every part of Ghana, west Africa itself,Europe,Usa..Nigeria is still no where to be found. We thought Ghanians how to do prostitution,Sakawa (YAhoo Yahoo ) and many more rubbish...Ghanians are not rich but they are happy and they have all those Basic Amenities that single Nigerian desire to have.

@OP you too don't get excited too much,Im sure if you should spend a weekend in Abidjan,You will definitely run crazy lol

Biased like how?

it's always good to see what the rest of the world looks like but to condemn where you coming from should be on a low-key otherwise you just keep worsening the mindsets of Nigerians in Nigeria and diaspora and non-nigerians as well.

truth is we Nigerians are a different specie of humans, its so rare to see an American relocating permanently to else where in the world. they love their country, they support it. this is what we should do as Nigerians.

All in all...i dont have a problem with migration out of the country because our leaders ain't helping. one man's meat, is another man's poison they say. God bless our hustle, our country and whatever decisions we take

PS; but would I leave Nigeria to Ghana to seek a job, answer is an almighty No! I'd rather go there to hussle or do buisness
