Fairly deadly for something so small.

Considering the lack of significant AA in S.A.A and the likely opponents of the AHRLAC

-AND-

Due to its lower speeds and wing set-up it should be a very stable platform, added to its diminutive size and "smaller" engine it should have a smaller battlefield signature - since most opponents would only have the Mk 1 Eye-ball and Ear-drum detection and fire-control system.

If the optics and guidance Boeing install on it are both good and affordable - you could up with quite a neat tank-sniper. Loitering afar and using stand-off munitions like the Makopa it could prove to be extremely lethal and effective. Or you could load up those new guided 75mm rockets that fit in a SNEB launcher and you get a nice LAV/Technical sniper.

I reckon some competent generals in smaller nations with smaller budgets may cast a keen eye on the AHRLAC or, as the weaponized version is called; Mwari.

Extract from Armscor 2016/2017 Annual Report...

Provide a light-weight exercise torpedo demonstrator -

A development plan for a lightweight exercise torpedo for the SAN has been compiled. Based on this plan, development of this torpedo has started as part of an effort to revitalise anti-submarine warfare within the Frigate Squadron, in support of the Director Fleet Quality Assurance.

IMT successfully launched the lightweight drill torpedoes. This trial was performed using the reconditioned twin tube launcher manufactured by IMT. The launcher will be installed on a frigate to perform launches of the lightweight exercise torpedo.

These little things have a role in 3rd and 4th world environments against technicals, poachers and low tech rebel formations. Low FAC,cheap CPFH and manouevrable where dedicated gunships like Rooivalks,Hinds and MI 28s with 30 mm chainguns ,laser guided ATGMs etc etc are overkill.

Boeing America signed agreement to build AHRLAC for South Africa in 2014, that secret did not leak out until years later when that same agreement was expanded further in 2016 meaning Boeing will do much more of the hi-tech work than we can ever imagine. Read the Boeing report again its 2014 America started building AHRLAC aircraft for South Africa, now you put your name logo on it and claim it. When it's time for export, South Africa will lie down flat on it's belly like agama lizard to beg America for export permit to sell what you claim you built.

Boeing and Paramount Group South Africa-based global defense and aerospace business, have expanded their 2014 agreement to cooperate on advanced mission system for Advanced, High Performance, Reconnaissance, Light Aircraft (AHRLAC). Boeing will develop an integrated mission system for the aircraft enabling ISR and light strike missions for AHRLAC safety & security, and military variants.
—Boeing Media News March 8, 2016.

American Boeing company built 95% of AHRLAC aircraft for South Africa. End of story.

Motorcades of high ranking officials are known to drive recklessly all the time.
There’s soo much tension between the past and present governor of Rivers state, it was probably an accident and the press is doing what they do best (blow things out of proportion).

I’m not a fan of Rotimi Amaechi but the story is ridiculous at best.

The aircraft is a clean sheet Paramount design.

Do tell us how you came to that 95 % ?

I read every page from yesterday, nobody told the Southies to stop. If you guys have no courage to face them, then dont try to face me. No sensible person ends an argument by telling one side to shut up while the other side feels free to pour insults on him. Nobody owns this internet space. Now find some courage and directly tell the South Africans calling me fvcking mong to stop. If any unbiased peacemaker talks to me, I will listen, but if you are cowards looking for who to silence easily, you picked the wrong guy. Thank you sir.

The AHRLAC is 95% Boeing as much as you're an American military researcher.

It's Saturday, go out and meet some girls maybe after you lie about the size of your canon you could possibly get laid.

AHRLAC-

Engine made by Pratt & Whitney company America
Transmission systems also made by America
All Avionics, Electronics, Computers, Weapon Systems, Surveillance Systems made by Boeing company America

Artists design on paper, aluminium body, color paint, 3 rubber tyres made by Paramount company South Africa

Remove American hardware parts and engineering skills, the skeleton bones left of your aircraft will end up in a museum. Yes bros, AHRLAC is 95% made by America, this is the truth you people hate me for saying.

Nothing wrong if USA builds aircraft for RSA, just be honest and admit it, dont come here and peddle lies to us asking us to show you made in Nigeria product when you flash made in America product in our faces as if Nigerians are fools. Honesty is the best policy, be truthful and save yourselves from embarrassment. Thanks.

Got this picture from a page from Facebook. Can any saffer explain?
I'm not too sure. It's possible that they were testing that artillery (I'm assuming it's the Israeli made G4) on the SAMIL chassis. Reasons could have been they wanted to have a highly mobile artillery platform in southern Angola to sneak it into position, drop shells and get away so quick. This was very important because before the G5/G6, the Angolans/Cubans had better supplied artillery pieces from the Soviets which totally smoked whatever South Africa was using at that time.

That was possibly a prototype that was shelved for the much more powerful G6.

Exactly. Paramount gets to benefit from Boeing's marketing footprint in exchange for Boeing installing its mission system for clients it manages to lure. Meanwhile they sell the aircraft with Paramount's mission system to countries where US tech can't be sold.
But what do I know, a fake American military research with multiple monikers (which have been known to converse with each other - how absurd is that?) here knows better. grin grin grin
