Hello guys, I've something I really want know.

I'm a Hausa guy, but I'm grew up here in Lagos and a large percentage of the people I know and hang out with are not northerners, I even speak Yoruba like kilode. grin

Due to the nature of my job I've come to meet different people from all over the world, most people I've met, especially Nigerians, after a short conversation their question would be "are you a Nigerian? " angry
3 in every 5 strangers I speak with would ask me that question. Even today I got ask if I'm a Nigerian.

I noticed that it's only after people hear me speak English that they get curious.
So my question is: how do we, Hausa people, sounds when we speak English?
Or is this particularly to me alone.
And I'm curious if I sound wired or cool cool

Using the President as an example is extreme to me.
Most educated Hausas I have heard speak, sound very cool. I like the way their diction is...maybe it's just me.

Hausas sound fantastic. My first chick was a Christian Hausa ! Damn, she sounded different. The way the tongue curled around her words, oh my ! No solid internet connectivity/phones then, damn it. That's how i lost her...Lolz, but you hausas sound different like the doctor in Blind Spot, see the movie, that's how you guys sound !

You sound different, uncommon, so you're definitely gonna turn a few heads when you speak. Cheer up ! I love Christian educated hausas any day any time
