I paid my tithe and there was no difference in my finances this month

I have respect for oyedepo. God has used him to do a lot great things for his Kingdom. He founded two universities in Nigeria with facilities comparable to what is obtainable outside the shore of this country and he has plans to build another one in Ghana.
His achievement alone is enough for anyone to swallow whatever he says as the ultimate truth coming from God.
In as much as I believe in giving to the church but the idea that a Christian must tithe is one that even Bishop oyedepo will not convince to accept. It is obvious that such practice was done away with all the other loads of practices recorded in the old testament.
The only giving acceptable and recorded in the new testament is free will donation. Any other giving is nothing but manmade.
However those who feel they must tithe are free to do so but saying that those who don't tithe are cursed and going to hell is nothing but madness.

Respect is carnal, honour is spiritual

I had rather give to the poor, help a needy, help friends and foes and establish the poor and destitute than to tithe. Tithing is a way of continuously enriching the so called men of God. You can always give to the church to help them in running their ministry and operations the same way you give to native doctors to help them stay alive and continue their trade. But not a compulsory obligation in the name of tithing!!

Na wa o. May God open our mind's eye and give us understanding as regards tithing...

I am a living testimony of someone who started making it after stopping to pay tithes to pastors, but paying it to my fellow human beings who need help.

Nigerians pay more tithes than any country on earth yet we have more poor people than any country on earth and poverty keeps growing at almost double digits yearly. Thers is nothing wrong in paying a tithe when you feel led but make sure you pay it to a true temple of God and not some conman

If you tithe and you don't have increase it falls to two things. God is a fraud or your Pastor is a fraud.

Since God cannot be a fraud, then automatically your pastor is a fraud.

These men looking for ways to continually milk unsuspecting and gullible members of society of their hard earned money.

What do most of these new generation churches give back to society? Members are languishing in penury and all you want is to collect the little they have?

And playing on the gullibility of the populace, and because Daddy Freeze has been opening the eyes of many to the scam that is tithing you label non payers of tithe beggars.

Some people believe in tithing, and are at peace with that. They believe steadfastly it works for them. Good for them.
Some don't believe in tithing, and they feel it's never worked for them. Also good for them.
Its all about choices.
Nobody is going to hell for not tithing, and I've never heard any preacher say that (i know some probably have, but ive never heard it).
But the most important of all is for us to do charity. Help the needy. Find a cause and put your all into it. Is your passion or sympathy with orphans? Is it with indigene students who can't pay school fees?, Is it with the sick? Many need your help in hospitals, is it in rehabilitation of drug users and prostitutes? They abound all around you. Choose one and make an impact.
What is however distasteful are christians shouting tithes are being paid to rogues, yet dont pay any, and yet won't still help those around them.
Let your life reflect the Christianity, not Judaism btw.
For christians, no 1 and all other commandments and teachings of Christ is love. If you dont love your neighbor whom you see, feel, touch don't even bother to claim to love God who you cant see... na Jesus talk am o.

They don't really believe in second coming of jesus christ. Just deceiving people for there own gain. It actually reflects in the actions
