The Tough Side Of Being A Yoruba Demon (4 Troubles Yoruba Demons Go Through ) by Nobody: 7:57am On Nov 27, 2017
Yoruba demon:   "A Nigerian guy (yoruba) who goes after a young lady's heart with no intention of loving her. They are typically met at parties, and would mostly wear white agbada (clothing).

They sometimes are seen in groups".

-urban dictionary

They are a spectacle at wedding parties, handsome rocking that traditional attire with matching accessories. Looking smooth and all with their well groomed hair and beards about to win the hearts of many ladies that day only to shred them in a few months time. Then the cycle repeats itself.

They attend a lot of parties and ladies are unable to resist their charm despite danger signals frantically glowing and alarms wildly beeping like the neon lights of a defective nuclear power plant.

Social media adores this fad and doesn't hesitate to give every good looking Femi, Segun or Ayo at the party a name. Yoruba Demon.

Although the status of a yoruba demon is looked upon with envy from their peers and younger counterparts who can but only aspire to be part of this notorious fad, it is not always sunny being one as sauceandsound reveals after taking a deep insight into this lifestyle ignoring the pros and focusing our attention entirely on the cons.

1. It is f**king expensive

"You can't be cheap" one of the fine men I interviewed was quick to tell me, ''a bottle of creed costs close to 150 grand". I was speechless because the fragrance I use is a one twentieth of the amount he just mentioned.

Meanwhile that was the least of their concerns, as they exhaust their savings trying to fuel a lifestyle, ignoring the financial obligations of the coming month, favouring flashy cars, classy apartments while accumulating huge debts.

Their lifestyle is founded on frivolities with money as a foundation and some of them who find it difficult to keep up, go through illegal and immoral means to maintain it. This left me wondering, "is it really worth it?"

2. Dumping women is not as easy as you think.

I received this statement with an outburst of laughter as the interviewee narrated how one of his ex girlfriends smashed all the windows of his newly acquired Honda CRV.

Some women don't take it easy and this puts you at risk as you could be dealing with someone who would go through any length to carve up her own pound of flesh.

There has been stories of ladies luring such men so as to have their babies in a bid to trap them in the relationship, but can a promiscuous man really be controlled. These women develop a sense of attachment as soon as they are courted by the so called unserious romantics failing to accept the truth that they are just an item of prey. When they have been thoroughly fed upon, a woman with the right amount of fury can do unimaginable harm.

3. It's an addiction

They just can't stop, this behavior is fuelled by the excitement, and like almost all addictions do, they put you in an precarious condition at this same time creating an illusion of contentment while slowly wrecking you until you are unable to recover from the debts and the numerous women who won't hesitate to crush you at the slightest opportunity. "It's all about the hype, they are addicted to it"

4. People think you're a horrible

Of course apart from the girls you ruined and maybe their friends there are still a lot of people who judge you. Yes, what you do is terrible but it's something that fascinates you, and you find it difficult to stop. But rarely would anyone understand you or even try to help and apart from those that respect you, the rest will continue to see you as a menance to society.

It wasn't up to 6 months I heard that phrase "Yoruba demon" for the first time. I didn't even pay too much attention to it. Maybe that's why I didn't take note or be alert when one came my way recently....

What the op don't know is that most ladies still prefers them to cool headed non-bragadocio guys who wants them for a true relationship. They love their heart being shattered by playboys who put on a facade of affluence

Those lifestyle isn't particular to Yoruba guys alone tho. Its everywhere

This is when you know when a kid is typing here. The words they use, the meanings they get from simple sentences, the way they reason, is just juvenile and pathetic.

By the way, you are always welcome.
