That's why I said you people are robot only program to act the way the governing body wants.

My points on this thread so far was never ABOUT why JWs are using the name JEHOVAH, do we need to use this name or the TRANSLATION of the Hebrew name.

My points was raised from the OP itself. Now I'll quote the portion of the OP and insert my comment in red, maybe this time you people can receive sense.

I believe this explanation is enough for a Primary 4 pupils to understand unless their teacher is from Kaduna.

Jesus clearly said he makes the name KNOWN , He won't have used substituted words to claim that !

Provide your evidence that the pronounciation has been LONG LOST BEFORE THE TIME OF JESUS ?

This is why I asked for the article, cos your lack of understanding keep showing in every post .

Note the colored, are the manuscript of today the ORIGINALS ?

People like you claim the divine name doesn't appear in the Greek Septuagint, until you were proved False by latest discovering proving copyists altered the name.

Which latest? What you even believe to be latest are all theories not proven facts.
Therefore an assumption. Based on hear say.

In what year were your sources written?
One thing we know for sure is that Your sources are not the original ancient Greek manuscripts they were written using the origina l Greek manuscripts which still did not have Jehovah or YHWH.

The bottom line is your sources claim that the name Jehovah or YHWH was deleted from the original Greek manuscripts. Therefore the original Greek manuscripts never had the name Jehovah written in it.

That means your Jehovah is not all powerful, all knowing and all knowledgeable for him to have his name missing in his word for over 2000 years.

You want to say that it was only until it got to 1960 that your Jehovah remembered his name was once lost in his own word and it had to be written by watchtower organization in that same year?
I thought the Bible according to you guys has no omissions yet the most important name was missing in it for over 2000 years. This your Jehovah is confused or is it your governing body? Maybe they are the confused human beings

Just imaging, Jesus said He made the name KNOWN. So, that's how your organization has programmed you to interpret this verse.

At least you people always hide under misquote works of some NT scholars but can you give us at least TWO NT scholars who interpreted this verse as Jesus was moving around shouting JEHOVAH up and down?

Besides, if your interpretation of this verse means Jesus was actually telling people about the name Jehovah, why didn't you call Jesus Himself Jehovah? Since Jesus said He came in His Father's name! John 5:43

Provide your evidence that the pronounciation has been LONG LOST BEFORE THE TIME OF JESUS?

Now you are asking me to provide evidence. (That means you didn't even read the OP in the first place you only jumped in as a robot to support your brother about the name Jehovah) because according to your brother who opened this thread, he said the original pronunciation was lost SHORTLY after the OLD TESTAMENT was completed.

Was OT completed after the death of Jesus or before Jesus was born?

This is what he said from the OP because you need to be taught like a primary 4
Ancient Hebrew was written without vowels, using only consonants. The Hebrew-speaking reader could easily provide the appropriate vowels. However, after the Hebrew Scriptures (“Old Testament”) were completed, some Jews adopted the superstitious belief that it was wrong to utter God’s personal name. When they read aloud a scripture that contained God’s name, they substituted expressions such as “Lord” or “God.” As centuries passed, this superstition spread and the ancient pronunciation was eventually lost.

You will never be satisfied with answers because you are biased. You are a hater of the JW and that changes nothing. You have been answered and yet you stay recycling your questions just to get a feel that is non-existing. You are asking someone to tell you how Jesus pronounced God's name? Are you being realistic? Do we speak that language? The scriptures were recorded as written text and not motion picture. Even in English there are many pronunciations to a single word. None of the words that you pronounce today were pronounced the same way that Jesus pronounced it because they were all written in another language that has its own rules. The name Jesus is English and in the Hebrew and Greek languages it doesn't come off as the English pronunciation.
Get some education on Linguistics. Each language has rules and they guide pronunciations of word. The way centre is pronounced in English is different from the way it is pronounced in French. It would be inept to ask a French who has no knowledge of English to sound centre in English.
Let me ask you a similar question that you are asking and see how well you perform. Here is a word in old persian, xšaθra. Please pronounce it the way Cyrus the great pronounced it.
Here is another one, ⲡ ⲧ ϫ ⲕ. Pronounce it the way the Egyptian Pharoahs pronounced it. If you cannot, then you have no case. In every language, all you do is translate words that are in foreign languages and forge ahead.
Asking the same question and recycling it is a waste of human organs and a way to feel victorious when a case is lost. Is that question your only defense? If you got a good case you should bring on evidences and not wasting people's time in a whirlpool.

Do the oldest manuscript of Greek Septuagint contains the name Jehovahnor not ? Do the Apostles and Greek scriptures writers quote from the Septuagint ?

If Matthew wrote his works in Hebrew, and quotes verses directly from Hebrew manuscript's which contains the divine name , what does that tell ignorant fellow like you ?

You simple problem is that you lack simple comprehension, if not you'd have realized that I didn't ask HOW did Jesus pronounce the NAME?

From your OPEN THREAD, common sense will draw you to conclusion which is just a answer to my question but since you people have been programmed like robot to reason in one way, so applying common sense will be difficult.

I know quiet well that you people know the implication of giving straight answer to my question that's why you people keep perambulating over it.

Finally, if you claim Jesus made the name KNOWN then why didn't you call Jesus Jehovah since the same Jesus came in His Father's name?

Jesus is not the Father , he is clear enough that the name from whom he came Belongs to his Father and he was sent by that one .

Eeyah, Sorry o ... Pele. I think its becoming clear who is the robot

Now I know your problem is comprehension grin grin

So when Jews invent superstition = Lost the pronunciation . ? Your case is critical

They still knew the pronunciation,

It wasn't lost until centuries later

Lets look at the quote again:

" However, After the Hebrew Scriptures (“Old Testament”) were completed, some Jews adopted the superstitious belief that it was wrong to utter God’s personal name. "

Was it ALL the Jews that adopt this after the Old testament or Hebrew scriptures were completed ? NOT ALL, " Some "

Which means it was STILL PRONOUNCED by many

It continues

" When they read aloud a scripture that contained God’s name, they substituted expressions such as “Lord” or “God.” As centuries passed, this superstition spread and the ancient pronunciation was eventually lost. "

It wasn't lost until the superstition spread after many centuries, it was EVENTUALLY ( or Gradually ) lost ... Can You now authoritatively Say nobody knew how it was pronounced in Jesus day ?

For the record, Jehovah's witnesses are not into common sense application. We are Bible students and we rely solely on the holy scriptures believing it to be the word of God. Just as Jesus said that he does nothing of his own initiative, we also do not accept any doctrine that the holy scriptures do not endorse.
If you are into common sense application, you better drop in front of any Ba'al or pagan temple around you and start relying on God's guidance. Jesus said that your eternal life means John 17:3; knowing Jesus and Jehovah and not on your common sense.
Jehovah invites people like you to come to accurate knowledge and to serve him in spirit and truth.

You are the ignorant person here. New testament was not written in Hebrew it was written in Greek.

Why do you people in your religion like assuming? Now you have said that Matthew wrote his works in Hebrew and quoted verses from old testament but the evidence we have is that the new testament written in Greek. That means it is only the Greek manuscripts that exist. Once again you have told me you people like assuming then you make your doctrine from questions to those assumptions
See your assumptions below:

Real facts: the only manuscript containing the new testament was written in Greek and it Does not contain Jehovah or YHWH.

Jehovah witness assumption 1: since Matthew spoke Hebrew and some verses were quoted from Hebrew manuscripts, therefore, the whole new testament might have been written in Hebrew.

Jw question from assumption 1: is it not true that the new testament was written in Hebrew, which got missing thereby creating room for only Greek manuscripts to exist?
Jw answer to question from assumption 1: yes, it might have been true.

Jw doctrine from answer to assumption 1question
: it is our duty to write the Greek scriptures the way they would have been put down in Hebrew. Therefore, we would translate our own new testament via Hebrew means. Even though we don't know the actual English words and have no Hebrew scholars. After that, we would edit every 10years whenever we see new light.

Jehovah witness assumption 2: the scribes removed God's name from both Hebrew and Greek manuscript because they where afraid to pronounce God's name. Overtime the name was lost.

Jehovah witness question from assumption 2: don't you think we will be the only true religion on earth if we put back God's name in certain places except when it is referring to Jesus Christ?

Jw answer to question from assumption 2: yes, we would be considered the only true religion by God here on earth.

Jw doctrine from answer to assumption 2 question
: we will put back the name of God (Jehovah) where it was deleted by the scribes but we would not put it whenever it refers to Jesus Christ.

your doctrines are all based from answers to questions based on assumptions by your leaders

see somebody that believes in assumptions calling someone ignorant.

Everybody who disagrees with your governing body interpretation is a hater or a biased person. Worshippers of an incompetent God. You worship a God who couldn't keep his own name (most important name) in his own word. Yet you say his word is the most accurate thing on earth. Your Jehovah is too powerless.

What else did he allow them remove from his perfect word?

Jehovah is the jewish God.

From an African point of view, all manufactured religions are normally fake, counter-intuitive and majorly unfit for purpose.
