Have you been to the United States? I will pass. I only argue with people who have lived in the United States and you don't sound like one. You call Nigeria a hell hole when American citizens are the most depressed people on earth. A system based on credit isn't helping you but enlsaving you that's why 67% of Americans are one paycheck away from living on the street and over 70% can't come up with a mere $400 in an emergency. When we talk financial success even Libya has a upper hand than America, almost all Americans will die broke and in debt. The United States of America is one overhyped shithole emmygzy: |

RighteousI:Your comment is already an indication of your false mentality, so are you saying people do not make it legally in Abuja? and the rich in Nigeria are only politicians or the likes of Evans? l would not relocate to Nigeria for just one reason....."Insecurity" as compared with European countries generally. Aside that, Europe (though comfortable and more secure) doesn't give you the chance to totally become what you wanna be, but l agree it gives you better opportunities initially. Still you have to use your head and hustle hard, you also need information and connection sometimes same as you need in Naija. |

Wizard999:Guess how many of them will die in Nigeria? Zero unless they go broke. Buhari would be living in UK if he wasn't president. He even stopped by there on his way from UN. Why do u think people like Achebe relocated permanently to US? The system has built-in support and consideration for the aged, disabled, infirm and handicapped that Nigeria simply does not. |

tonididdy:There is nothing in Dubai, nothing much happening economically, it's beautiful but just majorly good enough for tourism not for settling down except you have a ready made job. Even in many of these European countries, the citizens are suffering and live below average lives, many migrate enmass to places like Germany to get jobs with better pay per hour. Not everything is as it seems, still Europe generally is much more comfortable and secure than Naija. |

Brainwashed dunces! You have never been to America, as we speak people are committing suicide as time ticks by. If Americans were asked to advanced a six months rent 93% of them will sleep on the street. The hardest place to make it in the world is the United States, people who make $100,000 can't afford to pay for college for their kids. It is only in America children don't take care of their parents. It is forbidden for a youth to assist his parents with even a $100 because they are going through same hell their parents went through at their age. Unlike in Nigeria where people send money to their parents every month. America is a broke society with 1% controlling the wealth and the rest of the population living in misery and depression Ugosample: |

timesup234:You comment shows you have not even crossed the border. To be sincere, America has made life too easy for its citizen that they choose to be lazy. Yes you heard me. A large percentage of the black population in America are lazy. A large percentage of the statistics you quoted there are lazy people mostly blacks who are either drug addicts, depend on the government for food stamp and social welfare. If you are smart enough, you will not be in debt, depressed or broke. |

Lamexx:But most people on food stamps in the US are actually White. This is factual from actual scientific studies. You talk from stereotypes and it's quite dangerous. |

Whites are even suffering more than blacks in terms of percentage since they are the majority. The days of illusions are over. Most Americans are in financial disaster as they aged. Raising $400 is a big problem for Americans. Nothing was made easy for them rather they are being enslaved that's why majority of them lose their homes and cars everyday. Financially American citizens can never be compared to Nigerians. In America you own nothing, every single one of them are in debt, even if you don't carry lots of credit card your home is not fully owned. people pay everything in Nigeria is cash. Nigerian citizens are richer than Americans. The wealth of America belongs to the 1% jewish criminals, everyone else is suffering like a third world citizen financially https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/05/25/the-shocking-number-of-americans-who-cant-cover-a-400-expense/ https://www.marketwatch.com/story/most-americans-are-one-paycheck-away-from-the-street-2015-01-07 Lamexx: |

The percentage of those renouncing their citizenship in America is alarming. If you offer Nigerians living in America $300,000 cash all of them will burn their blue passport. They talk about giving birth to your children in America as an advantage when in reality they can't name a single Nigerian born in the US. who made it or have just $300,000 in their 401 k after working 50 Yrs in America. The American dream is the greatest lie and bondage used to blind Nigerians. Traveling to America set your life back 10 yrs http://fortune.com/2017/11/06/americans-renouncing-u-s-citizenship/ londoner: |

londoner:Sorry to disappoint you. I am not talking from stereotype. I don't do statistics because I know about authors biases with respect to statistical models. I hate to say this but I am actually on ground here. Like I said, the system makes you lazy. I had a roomie who is struggling to pay his fees but yet riding a Honda HRV all on credit. He simply works for 10 hrs per week and flex the remaining week. The credit card system makes you spend money you don't have and that is why I said, if you smart in America, you should not have any problem. I currently have a credit card with about $3,000 limit but I don't spend up to $500 on it because I don't want to get a bad credit score which most people tend to ignore. The moment you have a bad credit score, you start realizing how difficult the system can be. Credit card, baby mamas (child support) and jail time are the biggest drainpipe the system uses to keep people in bondage. Avoid them and you will be fine. |

BluFlyBoy:First mistake is mentioning the amount you're coming in with. Now the fraudsters will start planning how to have a field day off you. Just be careful, You've heard of Yahoo boys right? But seriously, make your business plan over there, then come and invest almost immediately because raw cash doesn't last long here. Too many distractions |

timesup234:I liked your post because there was truth in some of your assertion. I tell people, avoid credit card and you will be fine in America because the moment you have an irredeemable credit score in America, you realize how bad America can be. As a rule, I don't buy what I don't have immediate cash for. that has kept me going so far. If I want to buy a car, I'll save for it. |

9jaDoc:Help me tell timesup234 To him, and the rest that think like him, ECERYTHING is about money The Nigerian system is ROTTEN, and even if you have all the money, you will still deal with the rottenness. But to many Nigerians, making plenty money to rub it in the face of multitudes that do not have, to feel better about themselves is all there is to life As for my kids, they will not step foot in Nigeria |
