hey guys

been silently following this thread and picking up all pointers from justwise , Brightingsus and Ekpotek

Applied first time for a 6 months visit visa

What i learnt from all three of them :
apply if ure confident ur ties are strong ,
expalin your situation as it is no lies and keep it straightfoward ,
do not go overboard with documents submitted, you are opening yourself up to more scrutiny

Im a car dealer and i applied with just N6,000 balance ,my wife was fully sponsoring the trip

Docs i submitted : CAC Certificate, bank statement (200 pages +,lots of inflow and outflow)
Receipts from car sales to explain huge lodgements, marriage certificate, FIRS tax clearance
my wifes salary account statement and her personal savings statement,Cover letter from company
explaining my role in the company and current situation, Cover letter from Brother inlaw who was
inviting us and his Resident permit )

Application completed 3rd November
Biometrics done 8th November
Received at UKVI 9th November
Decision Made 1st December
Passport picked up 5th December

Visa Granted.

This Thread is truly helping and much appreciation to Justwise Brightingsus and Ekpotek , God bless all your endevours

As a staff of a company it's your state internal revenue service that would issue it.
Your company must have been deducting & remitting tax to the board for you every month and filed PAYE returns.
Most organizations procure the tax clearance for their staff so you can ask your HR.

FIRS is for company income tax, education tax and vat

Hi Guys.....trust you are keeping well. I collected my passport today and felt I should share my experience.

Biometrics was done September 6 at TLS Ikeja.
Got a mail from UKVI on the 8th that passport had been received and that was all.

After waiting for three months and no mail from TLS and UKVI, I went to TLS Ikeja only to be told they sent me a mail and also called( a big lie), and after one month of my passport with them , it was returned to Deputy British High Commission in V.I and all I had to do was take the collection slip there and my passport will be released. Getting there I had to wait for like four hours before I was attended to.

Got the passport with 2 years visa issued on September 17.

Please if you applied and no word from the embassy or TLS after one month just go to TLS your passport might just be there waiting for you.

I was supposed to travel in November and all plans were cancelled by me thinking my Visa is yet to get a decision, but instead it was incompetency on the part of TLS.

Thank God I got the Visa and shout out to all the gurus in the house and those who shared their timelines....it was quite helpful.

Hi everyone good afternoon. I will like to know where one can contact regarding a change in circumstances with a 6 months uk visit visa. My now husband applied for one before we got married and put NO to the answer of if he has any family in the U.K. But now that we are married he now has me here in the U.K. as family. Can he still use this visa? And if yes is there anywhere he can inform about his now marital status
To me. Thanks

State Internal Revenue for Business names too.

They charge you as an individual for your Enterprise

I'd say he updates it (with Marriage cert and co) when he is applying for a New Visa (it's just six months) but I'm not an expert.

There is no need to worry. The visa is still valid until the date of its expiration. Change of circumstances can only be effected on a new UK visa application with proofs.

Hello Everyone,

1st Application:

Reason for application:To attend a company sponsored training.

Biometrics captured on 5th October, 2017 and application received by UKVI on 6th October, 2017.(paid for priority visa)

TLS sent a decision mail on 13th October, 2017 and received passport on 16th October,2017(paid for delivery by courier).

Decision & reason: Refusal. UKVI stated that they could not ascertain if the company I stated in my application as sponsor for the trip was capable of funding it.

Note: My employer made arrangements with the company based in the UK to handle the training and all associated expenses and then be reimbursed. Based on that, the company sent a Letter of Invitation clearly stating the purpose of visit and that they will be fully responsible for all expenses incurred during the trip.

2nd Application:

Reason for application:Tourism.

Biometrics captured on 28th November, 2017 and application received by UKVI same day.(paid for priority visa)

Received mail from UKVI on 30th November, 2017 stating that processing of my application has not been straightforward and advising that projected timeline for assessment of the application may not be met.

TLS sent a decision mail on 7th December, 2017 and received passport on 8th December,2017(paid for delivery by courier).

Decision: 6-month visa granted.

This is to thank everyone on the thread.

Your contributions were helpful and are appreciated.

Hmm, My discussion with him is not about this thread which was why i asked him to check his whatsapp so I didn't see any thing wrong with that. Besides none of us mentioned anything like agents or displayed any number on this thread.

@dannywest, please I will quote you in one of your threads to avoid derailing this thread for them. Thanks

If you were born before 1983. You are a british citizen by birth irrespective of the nationalities of your parents. Since you birth was in 1987, you do not have right of abode in the UK, and cannot relocate to the UK. However, you can still immigrate using student visa route, or work permit route. By the way did you stay up to seven years before returning to Nigeria?
