The Hypocrisy Of The Presidency & Pmb's Supporters by ivandragon: 2:14pm On Dec 10, 2017 |
a few months ago, the $25b NNPC contract scam was exposed by the Minister of State for Petroleum via a letter to pmb. Despite the letter clearly showing that questionable contracts were being awarded without following due process, the presidency & pmb's social media influencers argued that as long as pmb signed the documents, everything was in order. they further argued that Kachikwu was essentially, a redundant minister as pmb was the substantive minister for petroleum & could therefore relate with Baru without consulting Kachikwu or the FEC... it therefore is a surprise that at the FEC meeting held on Wednesday, 6th Dec., 2017, the FEC directed Kachikwu to resolve the present fuel crisis. he was essentially blamed for the situation & told to handle the matter. it is surprising that pmb, who is the so called substantive minister of petroleum, was never mentioned or called to order on the fuel crisis... is it that pmb is only the minister of petroleum when it is time to sign out dubious contracts & take glory for achievements in the petroleum industry? & Kachikwu becomes the 'acting' minister of petroleum when its time to place the blame on failures in the sector? pmb & his supporters need to stop being clever by less than 1/10th... pmb & not Kachikwu should be mandated to solve the fuel crisis, after all, when they were giving out dubious contracts, they all sidelined Kachikwu... 3 Likes |

TheHistorian: oh, so now the logic is flawed... when it was argued that Baru should have carried Kachikwu along since Kachikwu knew more about the sector than pmb did & since pmb was effectively incapacitated at the time, people like yourself stated otherwise... was kachikwu not collecting salary when he exposed the fraud? was he not collecting salary when he was by-passed on such key contracts? was he not collecting salary when appointments were made without his express input? you are the one with the disjointed reasoning... 2 Likes |

Buhary made himself minister of petroleum in order to protect the funds to be siphoned through bogus projects for his reelection, not because he had indept knowledge about the workings of the industry. Where are the resuscitated refineries he promised Nigerians working in optimum capacity? 1 Like |
