the honest truth is we need ppl to come together and give to the poor,
that is the primary message of love your neihgbour that our Lord Jesus preached
what we have now in the church is " i love my pastor" the rest can go to blazes
and pastor too arent complaining because it gives them the good life they want
putting smile on people faces is something that gives me more joy than anything else
and if this is what daddy freeze is saying then i can assure people that there are millions of nigerians like me
who actually does want to see the other poor person happy
we have this attitude in our culture that when you do something for someone , he must show appreciations by saying thank you a million times
that ideology is totally wrong , and the truth is when you do something for someone and you expect the person to be indebted to you
by continually saying thank you , then your kind gesture isnt accepted by God
most of the time ,i do things for people who doesnt even know me talkless of saying thank you to me .
this is the message of hope that can really help us as individuals and also as a nation

In Matt 23:23 was rebuking the men of God those days for tithing alone and not doing other things.

We are all encouraged to needy from the scriptures especially does in the house of God and believers
Galantia 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Jesus didnot go to street to feed 5000 but those that came to hear the word of God.

Tithe has only one meaning in bible concordance.
If you want to add your own. U are alone.

And if your last line says people need money, but in your mind, church doesn't need money ba.
Yet you want to go to worship centres and feel comfortable when you worship God and share His word. But Church doesn't need money
Good o. Continue

pls tell me the one meaning

Ok. Thank you sir. Aside preaching the word of God, what other jobs did Jesus do to earn income? Please remind me.

Some people don't do any other job aside preaching and get tithes. This IMO is income and he needs to pay taxes on that. Do you agree??
Jesus prior to his ministry was a Carpenter. Its in d scripture. Matt 13:5, mark 6:3

You are answering some parts of my post. Answer all.

Now prior to ministry, he was a carpenter. We know is dad, Joe the carpenter! So he paid tithes then. When ministering, did he advise people to pay taxes? Did he pay too?

Oya start quoting. I'm only asking logical questions.

You will agree with me that if he did, then whatever he must have received was an income and hence the advice to pay taxes on it.

If he did not, he is going against the law!

So answer me! Did he pay during the ministry or not?

If only we could genuinely aspire to be like Jesus. If he came again today, many so called followers will have nothing to do with him because of his humility. I can tell you he will not keep a dime in the bank when one of God's children is starving or needs that dime.

He certainly will not insist on luxury buildings as places of worship, he will not be flying luxury jets, wearing expensive clothings and so on. There is nothing Christlike in the way many are today. No single respect for God as we use his name for our ambitions. No one may be like Christ but do we even try? Do we at least step back, admit and repent when we are confronted by the truth. It is never too late to repent when God hasn't taken the grace of life from us. Remember the NEEDY. Those are your brothers. Be your brothers keepers.

Merry Christmas folks! grin

Stop quoting bible and ask logical questions. grin

What these dudes need is just logic.

They are all hostages to fear! They put fear in them such that a man who lives in Lekki and calls himself a man of God will be in Lekki and be describing how Heaven and Hell are. He will be telling you the countenance(anger, happiness etc) of God when you don't pay tithes. Has he seen God before? How much more his countenance?

Some in this generation are breaking of from fear. They don't want to be hostages anymore.

Funny enough, the so called men of God oopen their mouth and say someone will die because of condemning tithing. Are you God? Was that what was commanded in the holy book they read? Was that what was also commanded in the constitution of Nigeria!

Keep deceiving yourself. How much and how often do you give to the poor and needy even? Hypocrite!

The new testament early church gave all that they had (beyond a tenth) and you are here lamenting over a tenth. Study your scriptures.

Are you being forced to tithe? Why are you so bitter when others willingly tithe? Do you think every pastor is selfish and materialistic?

Tithing is older than the law. It is not compulsive in the new testament church regardless of its validity.

Minister should be taken care of. They are not beggars. How much have you sown into a ministers life? Do you think they don't have bills to pay and families to run? If you don't want to tithe, congrats.... Leave others who willingly choose to.

When the General overseer threatens those who do not pay tithe with curses, it's no longer done willingly.
If I was a member of that church, I'd be afraid and be forced to pay tithe cos my GO has added a curse clause to it.
Besides, it's shameful most "tithing churches" don't preach anything else, except tithing and prosperity.
It defeats the purpose of winning souls for Christ.

So what more do these guys want?
They know the truth but do not want to let go of the luxury that money from tithes gives them.

Why There Is No Room For Tithing In The New Covenant! ~FRZ

Eradicated Poverty with your tithe rather than feeding an already fat-fed GO.

@daddyfreeze I strongly disagree with you on this tithe movement. I have carefully review the videos and interview and I think you are misleading people. Firstly, there were 2 Order of Priesthood - Aaronic Priesthood and Melchisedec Priesthood [Heb 7: 1-28]. The present church is NOT following Aaronic, but Melchisedec Priesthood. For tithing, there MUST be a Priest to receive the tithe. For the present day church, the biblical tribe does NOT count... whether Levite (Aaron) or Juda (Jesus), because there is NO record of Melchisedec tribe, but he received tithe as a Priest. If Abraham paid tithe to Melchisedec, his natural and spiritual seed should continue to pay tithe to this priesthood since it now replace the Aaronic priesthood (v 9-21). Is the first priest of the Melchisedec order the only on to receive tithe? Should God require tithing under this priesthood at the first and then discontinue it when Christ became a priest under this order? Does grace lessen the obligation of man OR increases it? Has this priesthood come to a self-supporting place, where it needs nothing from those under it benefits? Was it right that Abraham paid tithe to this priesthood and for melchisedec to receive them for his support? If it was right then, could it be wrong now to continue this same programe? Should a mere typical priesthood be supported and not the eternal priesthood itself? Awaiting you kind response
Going by melchezedek priesthood let me ask U
U are indirectly saying that Abraham was OBLIGATED by God to pay tithe to Melchizedek
Therefore, there must be a LAW or COMMANDMENT
If that is case, what LAW OBLIGATED Abraham to TITHE?
God COMMANDED BURNT OFFERINGS AND CIRCUMCISION FOR ABRAHAM AND FAMILY...WHY WAS THE BIBLE SILENT ON A VERY SERIOUS PRINCIPLE AS TITHE?

Secondly, the similarity of the priesthood of Jesus to the priesthood of Melchizedek is based on three facts
1.Being priest for ever(Hebrews 7:3)
2.Not on a basis of a regulation in other words,not on a platform of a law or commandment(Hebrews 7:16)

However, there are distinctions between the priesthood of Jesus and that of Melchizedek
1.There was an OATH which declared Christ as a high priest(Hebrews 7:20-22wink
2.He became a guarantor of a better covenant(Hebrews 7:22)
3.Able to intercede(Hebrews 7:25)
4.Christ has ascended to heaven unlike other priest including Melchizedek(Hebrews 4:14;Hebrews 7:26)
5.Christ is the only priest that offered himself as a sacrifice once for all(Hebrews 7:27)
6.Christ did not offer a gift or sacrifice, hence cannot also receive gifts and sacrifices like that of the law(Hebrews 7:27;Hebrews 8:3-4)

I grew up to see my mum pay her tithe, she has been very consistent with it and she gives to the needy too even if it's her last (many times it has happened). But do you know that God's promises about tithe is not a Joke??
I have checked my mum's life with that of her siblings and some persons and the difference is clear. She has accomplished what is unimaginable in our little niche, There is blessing in tithing. Do not allow OAP Freeze deceive you.
If after paying tithe and your pastor squader the money, he has a case with God. Just obey God, all this story about tithe is a distractrous temptation.

I grew up in a church where tithe was never mentioned till I left home for school. There were many people who prospered in that church.

I attended a mission school where tithe was never mentioned, yet people prospered there.

I have never paid tithe all my life, yet I am doing well for myself.

I work in an environment where there are many Muslims, yet some of them prosper more than some tithe paying contemporaries.

What I am saying in essence is this "tithe did not make your mum better than her friends".

Of course the bible says " the difference is clear" according to one tithe collecting Daddy GO.

Now, the #TAP challenge is not really about individual prosperity but that of the nation.

It doesn't matter whether you pay tithe or not. The only thing we are trying to point out is that 'tithing has no business with Christianity " and that "tithing is never about money". Go ahead and pay but let it be that you are not being deceived into doing so by jetloving GOs.

Well, the politicians have failed us, the Daddy GOs are buying up company spaces to build church and church car park. So how should we leave them alone?

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

If you actually read what he said....He asked that U use ur tithe to HELP some close to You!
Which i think is really a great idea and has bible scriptures to back it up!

Imagine if Ur tithe can take a child to school every day or help empower a needy person or help offset the bills of sick patient at the hospital or pay the house rent of some one who is owing a backlog due to unpaid salaries or pensions!

Imagine if ur tithe and that of others are channeled towards the good of mankind,no single person in Nigeria would go hungry or without shelter...Just imagine the amount of unbelievers that will convert to become believers due to this generous effort!

Remember that it will be difficult and hopeless to preach to someone who is hungry or has no means of survival!

That is the challenge freeze is talking about!

He never asked that U give him money to give to the poor!

Go back and listen to what he said!
Remember that he who gives to the poor and needy lends to God!
