rejosom: I don't believe in arguing where belief is concerned. Do as you please. Eat your tithes or give it to people. Anything that makes you sleep at night, do it. Or maybe tithes don't even exist since they are of the law. And for the guy talking about burning tithes, I mentioned sacrifices. If you don't want to pay your tithes, don't sound like those who do are stupid. They believe it and it works for them. They got it from the Bible and it works. If it were a law it should have been rendered useless the way you believe it to be, and ineffective. They give in faith on a principle and it works for them. All this bragging about how you give, like the rest of us don't, is just your morality speaking. "I don't pay tithes but I give". Well, we all do. |

Tellemall: There is no argument here.... Just that it is the human nature to resist change. Like I said, it's your money you can do whatever you like with it. It may work for you but it is not Christianity that's what I am saying. Another might say sacrifing Ram in the name if Jesus works for him. It may really work for such a man, but it is not Christianity. Simple. Nobody is calling you a fool for tithing...we are simply saying you are practising Judaism. 2 Likes |

Tellemall:nope, go read what you earlier typed. is eating a tithe sacrifice? I dunno oooo i am not boasting about anything. I give, and i'm sure you do too. The only diff btw me and you is you call your tithes, offering, first seed, seed of faith, pledge etc. I call mine simply giving. And i am not saying on account of this i have better standing than you, i'm just saying dont say you have better standing than me too |

Gilbertase: You're bragging, still. You don't need to announce that you're a good Christian because you give money without distinction of what you're giving for. Give and leave it between you and God. Not all this online chest beating. You want to sound more moral than those who give tithes. Stop tooting your horns. I mentioned sacrifices being burned. You go and read. |

Tellemall:i am not bragging, you are simply being emotional. To each his own. That has explained my standpoint quite simply. |

Gilbertase: You're bragging. You need to toot your horns about how good you are. How you don't tithe but you're still so good. We're not interested in that. It's unnecessary information. A butter of sorts. That's why you didn't read that post you jumped at emotionally. |
Re: Tithe Against Poverty Challenge By Daddy Freeze by Tellemall: 11:05pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
rejosom: I did not say that I tithe. You can't just assume that. Everybody is practicing Judaism, because Jesus was a Jew. Christianity is based on Judaism. If you erase the Judaism from the Bible, then you have the new testament only. If it's good and it's in the Bible then you are free to practice it. Tithing is permitted because Jesus never dismissed it blatantly like stoning. I am not resisting change, but I don't find reasons for arguing for or against people's beliefs, that's why I stopped. Do what you wish to. |

Tellemall:i dont do emotional, that is clearly your forte. I deal with facts and the truth.....and i dont brag. all i have simply said is all those adjextives means a whole lot more to you than me. They mean nothing to me. Giving is giving. Giving is good. God loves a cheerful giver. Nitey nite! |

Gilbertase: You're a child-man of insubstantial intelligence, yourself. "I the fellow behind the moniker Gilbertase do affirm that i am a Noisemaker. Assumer extraordinaire. Braggart. Dispenser of unnecessary points of no interest. I also have zero tolerance for others and i resort to calling sane pple names because i am a lliliputian intellectually and therefore cannot handle civil dialogue. I am self righteous, a Pharisee . Look how I give money. I'm not sensible at age. I am angry and can't face the words used against me. But I love to pick a fight. I'm waiting for my owner to call me off. Until he shoots me in the head or SARS does, BEAR WITH ME! Woof!" I love to see a "cheerful giver" chest beater display himself. If only you could be mannered like rejosom. But alas! Civility is far from you. |

I have read a lot of comments here and I want to say that all of you are wonderful. Thank you for the debate. The whole obligations of man is to fear the true God and keep his commandments. 1. Jesus Christ came to correct so many things among which is the way the Pharisees and the Sadducees treat the Israelites back then. He said people should come to him, all who are being deceived and those heavily laden with loads of tithes and Sabbath. 2. Jesus Christ did not collect tithes and he is the head of the church. His disciples never pay tithe. 3. The early church never collect tithes. The emphasis is on voluntary contributions. 4. The last time tithe was mentioned in the bible was in Malachi. Then they were rebuilding the temple and the operation stopped when the storehouse was full. It is food and gift items. Building materials too. 5. If you go to a church where anybody identity himself as the head, that is a business center. Christ is the head of the church. You can only have shepherds. These are older men who pattern the apostolic time. 5. Give God generously what you can afford. It could be your time, effort, talent, material possessions, money, yourself etc. It is not under obligation to give a certain percentage. It is a scam. 6. If anybody should read Malachi to you, tell him he is selfish and a fake minister. They will even scare you that if you don't pay, you will not have God's blessing. Tell him thank you. God does not consult any pastor to check their list before sending out His blessings. 7. If you want to go ahead to keep on paying the pastors for doing the work of twisting the scriptures and performing fake magic / miracle, please go ahead but don't condemn those who had seen the light. We now know that all these churches are fake.either winner, looser, deeper, shallow, redeem or lost. I am a free man. 1 Like 1 Share |

While you all are still on this issue, I will like to know where it is in the Bible that money was collected as tithes. I'll wait. |

Opinedecandid: I know this question is not meant for me... but if I can answer, I will answer Maybe. Maybe because, when I pay tithe to someone, I may not know whether the person is using it to advance God's kingdom or diminish it. But I could use the resource (tithe) myself and advance the kingdom of God without any middle man. |
