Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Asihanmi: 10:41am On Dec 17, 2017
Thank you BRANDYAK for the prompt response and feedback.

My first worry is that the last application I did my elder sister was my Co sponsor. (My spouse 's personal account doesn't have huge funds in it however we both run a joint account that has funds up to N4.4M. I plan to make part tuition payment of $CAD 10,000 (Can't afford afford to pay more than that for now because the St Mary's international students office recommended that pay into $CAD 20,000 or all of first year tuition fee!!!) whenever I'm reapplying based on my initial refusal.

My second challenge is if my elder sister and spouse can be my Co sponsor alongside my self or better still my elder sister transfers more funds into my account. (hope this won't be a red flag by the VO since I plan to reapply by last week of January 2018 so that my spouse and I will be responsible only for the funding.
Meanwhile I have registered CAC documents(it is enterprises) though haven't opened a bank account with it yet.
Lastly my concern as regards "no correlation between my course of study for first degree , job role and intended program is worrisome" My first degree is computer science and I have been a sales person in the banking sector for 5 years (part of what I do is to drive electronic channels which is IT related.) I choose MTEI master of Technology and Entrepreneurial innovation be sure it has both technology and finance. This is felt will bring the gap between my job role, future plans andy first degree course. I bet insight on how to convince the VO in this regards when reapplying.

Phew sorry for the long epistle just need assistance for application that will be ready for submission in about a month's time. I anticipate your contributions.

Let me try
Yes anybody can sponsor you provided he has the mimimum one year turtion and 10000cads puting in to consideration his or her dependence. Your spouse is a very reliable sponsor, also puting in to consideration how he will race funds for future yeas. Make sure you sponsorship letter expresses the strong bond between you and also talk about your furture plansas a couple.

My dear, home ties can range from finantial investment, family to professional ties depending on you, think of any you may have. If you decide to take the professional route then i advise you show a lot of passion in solving problems you have identified in home country, that your return will be inevitable bc of the passion you have Shown.
If it family it must be close relation, show how you cant do without them or they cant do without you for a verry long time, like aging or sick parents show proof or just the bond. If its your wife and children , you may talk about your little girl how you are fun of her, how she makes you laugh how you miss them. Tell the vo how really want participate in your childrens up bringing, u dnt want be a distant husband or parent. If handle this eightly no vo will refuse u visa.

About your travel history, did you bring the vo's attension to the fact that you had travelled to canada and maybe other developed coutries and return before? just presenting trv is not enough as some vo may seeyou as someone who has visited canada and seen it beauty and is now using the study route to abscon. You have to tell them

Processing times vary. It can be 19 weeks, less or even more than 19 weeks. Just ensure you submit a complete application and pray it gets approved as soon as possible.

If your school resumes before your application gets approved, CIC will request for a new admission letter.

I am also for Fall 2018.

Just a link to some of the many day to day questions answered on UWinnipeg's website on Applying for Study Permit and TRV (outside of Canada). Some of which have been answered here but is still beneficial whether you are applying to UWinnipeg or not.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Bright9412: 11:33pm On Dec 17, 2017
I didn’t get your PM bro.

CIC is Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

If your visa processing time passes your resumption date, and they want to approve your application, they will request new offer letter to be sure you still have an admission.

For example, you applied for visa with winter admission letter and your visa application is still being processed as at January which you are supposed to resume or later. If they are going to approve your application, they will request you to send a new offer letter since you cannot meet up with January resumption. They expect you to defer the admission to the next term or later.

Finally got time to update the house
Update live from Winnipeg, Manitoba
Started my journey on the 13th, December from murtala international airport, my family members were not allowed to go into the airport with me, so went in myself with two 23kg luggage and a backpack. My luggage wasn't searched, moved to weigh them, wrap them in nylon bag for a thousand naira per bag, collected my boarding pass, later went out to bid my family farewell, it was then that it dawn on my wife that she will be missing me...

At exactly 11:45am, we were called to board our flight (Ethiopian), being the first time of flying was kinda feeling dizzy when the plane took off tongue .

Got to Adis Ababa, join a connecting flight to Toronto that stopped a brief at Dublin to fuel up and change the cabin crew after 6hours of flight. Ethiopian wan kill person with food even though the food was something out of my league. Had a little delay when we landed at Toronto, a plane was still dropping off people at our gate, that made me missed my connecting flight to Winnipeg sad.

Went to clear luggage, the Canadian border service agent were friendly, collected my passport, asked what course I was going for and asked me to sit and wait, after a while he called on me to come pick up my study permit saying I can work on or off campus... cheesy. Got my food stuffs searched... Egusi, grounded pepper, crayfish, garri, beans, smoked fish, semolina... I like food cheesy.

I was put on a stand by for the next flight but booked for the flight leaving for Winnipeg by 11pm, that is I have to stay for like 12hrs... angry, took my time to work around Toronto airport and search for food, nah there I know say I dey oyinbo land, what I saw as rice on bill board when I open am no be rice dey inside, couldn't eat that was how I wasted 18 dollars early morning in Canada.

Finally got a flight at about 8pm, arrived Winnipeg at about 10pm, my pick up was already waiting for me, because I used the free WIFI in Toronto airport to inform him of my delay flight. Stepping out of Winnipeg airport made me realised that my winter jacket nah singlet... Cold here no be jhoke o.

Settling in very well, had my first snow walk yesterday to open an account... Money matter... grin.

The city beautiful, waiting for you guys, there are lots of cool Nigerian guys here, very welcoming and friendly, they try as much to make sure you don't feel home sick... grin, can't wait to start lectures...
That's all the experience... Ire o!

Haha,
Welcome to Winterpeg Manisnowba..
Thank God you arrived safely.
Looking forward to meeting with you.

morning NL fam,

so i tried reading before asking just incase someone had already asked the same question (because i hate when people do this), but the thread is so long and my eyes has gotten uncomfortably sore from trying to read through all the pages... so please bear with mw

i have questions as regards where to start from. im trying to apply to BCIT . i thought this was an easy something aka just send a mail attaching your these credentials

1. Application Fee
2. Scanned filled copy of application form (i don't know where to get these but i'm assuming it comes after starting the application process)
3. Identification. Passport or drivers license or birth certificate
4. Marriage certificate (if married)
5. Certificate(s)
6. Transcript to be sent by institution.

but now i'm not so sure.

please advice me because i'm now reading talks of ICES which costs about $200...

THANKS

NOGEN! NOGEN!!!
Don’t ever enter royal air Marco. The royal in the name is just a lie....
My mum went via RAM in oct to the USA.
RAM LOST HER BAGGAGE (hand luggage) Till today she hasn’t got it.All her personal belongings were there.her laptop gone, new iPhone gone and receipts gone.
Time for refund came they said she should bring receipts. All receipts were in the hand luggage.
She couldn’t get the refund. She is a law case with them as she has sued them at the moment and I know what they will loose that case cos she ain’t gonna take it easy.
Pls don’t take airmaroc.

Been reading up on Air Maroc reviews and they are giving me some cold chills. Been asking myself who sent me? Never used them before. Used to flying Klm, Air France, Virgin Atlantic, Delta and Emirates. But when I look at the amount of money we would be saving , it makes so much sense. It can pay about 1 year house rent for us in Canada. Also, my POE is Montréal, my base.

Those who have used Air Maroc here, please I need your reviews. Na your own I go believe. Lol. How's their service, in flight entertainment, the Casablanca airport? Thanks as i await your responses.[/quote]
