I have been chatting this lady for quite some time now
I proposed visiting her last week Wednesday but she said she was not going to be home, but would be home on Monday that is tomorrow
Now I have been asking her for address to direct me to her house since two weeks ago and all she says is, don't worry I will give you
On Friday I asked again and she said "if I give u now u will forget it" but I told her I won't forget it
Till now she has not given me the address
I sense she doesn't want me to visit her, now today is Sunday and tomorrow will be the proposed date, what do you think I do so I don't disturb her and also not disgrace myself?

What is “Arodan”?
In Yorubaland, there is this particular method parents or adults use to tell children away without them (the children) knowing, that is, when they begin to disturb or when their attentions need to be diverted.
The method is called Arodan. It is simply put as the combinations of words that has Arodan in it. Job done!
It could be “Lo bami gba Arodan wa lowo lagbaja” Meaning; go and collect Arodan from someone.
The interesting thing is, it is like an arranged deal even though most times (if not all the time) it is unrehearsed. One might be in one’s room when a child pops up asking for Arodan, one simply knows they have been sent to remain with oneself for awhile.
The delay techniques will then be employed to make sure the child is delayed no matter how eager or hasty they are.
The Arodan sequence does not need prior arrangements or foretelling, one acts to the mention of it in all circumstances. For example, if a father asked his child to collect Arodan from the mother, if for instance the mother is occupied, she might redirect the accord to another person maybe the brother or sister who understands the maneuver.
Logically, adults in Yorubaland know this (as they had been played on) and won’t explain it to children because culturally, they are not supposed to know it, they learn its factuality when they grow so that they would play it on children in return.
I have got lots of elder siblings and I was a victim of this sumptuous game. It got to a point I annoyingly asked “what the s—t is this Arodan paapa”?
Truthfully, many people will testify to this that they were played too, it doesn’t mean they were dumb or retarded, it’s just a Yoruba thing. Yoruba custom is exemplary, a tradition that is second to none.

Before i can advise you, answer these questions :

1= how old are you?

2= where are you residing?

3= what level of education do you have? eg, O level, ND, HND, BSC,

Here are my reasons for asking these questions......

1= your sense of reasoning and ability to make tactical decision is still at the level of a boy of not more than 17 years.

*There's no correct thinking guy that won't detect why the girl refused to give you her address

* Mature guys don't go about visiting girls in their homes. Either she comes to your place or you both should meet at a relaxation spot.

2= it seems there are no girls or all the girls in your hood are mulikat, Chidalu or shawuya. The only mabel or Stacy in your hood is this girl that has wrapped your brain inside rizla, jumbo size and is looking for matches or lighter to start smoking it. Hence the reason for your bushness.

3= a guy with at least an O level certificate will be able to decode that you are just being a pest to her.
